Headcanons for That Man in No Country for Old Men

- Anton Chigurh is a total wreck when he’s drunk or on drugs. Total dumpster fire. He’ll go overboard and have a near death experience, vomit, pass out in a random alleyway and wake up in Mexico with a mariachi asking for tips because he made them play for two hours straight.

- He doesn’t talk unless he needs to so he’s nonverbal pretty much all the time.

- Chigurh’s had a weird life. He was a veternarian for 2 years before he became a hitman. He likes animals more than people because they don’t expect empathy or sympathy from him. They just exist and he likes that.

- His dad was an abusive prick who did some fucked up shit to him and his mom.

- Chigurh killed his dad. Stabbed him to death with a broken beer bottle because his dad started beating him. His dad tried to kill him too but he won’t talk about it.

- Bring up his family and you’ll get stabbed.

- He has a scar on his back and on his right thigh because of his dad. He also has little burn scars scattered all over his body from his dad stubbing cigars on him when he was a kid.

- Do. Not. Touch. Him.

- If you startle him you’ll get killed.

- He’s antisocial and hates crowds.

- Refuses to sleep when he isn’t by himself. Hypervigilant and constantly looking over his shoulder.

- He scared everyone in college and at his practice.

- Stealthy.

- He and Carson Wells were friends but he got convinced Carson was planning to kill him so he tried to kill Carson one night.

- They weren’t friends after that.

- Chigurh only sleeps 2-3 hours a day. He can’t sleep at night so he usually crashes at around 5 or 6 am and wakes up at 9 or 10.

- He’s had sex. Once. He hated it.

- He bites his nails and chews off his cuticles when he’s stressed. He’ll keep going until their bloody.

- Won’t eat unless he’s alone.

- He can’t remember a large chunk of his life. He can’t remember his childhood at all. He only has a few bits and pieces up until he’s about 20.

- The only things he can recall are: when his dad broke his mom’s nose over her spilling some juice, getting locked in the basement of his house for 3 days when he was 10, and his dad trying to beat him to death when he was 16. The only pleasent things he remembers is that in one point of his childhood he had a bunny, and the day after he killed his dad he woke up in his mom’s room and she was singing to him. :(

Omg yeeeesss hope you like them I might’ve fibbled a lil but still hope it’s readable🖤😅_______________________________________________________________________- When Anton found out he was gonna be a father he just stared at s/o , but after a moment he smiled (creepy) ,but you could tell he was genuinely happy - Anton is gonna be hella protective - When his child was born he felt like the luckiest man in the world- He helps s/o feed , change diapers , and bathe the child- He even drops the kid off for school sometimes - S/o is damn proud of her husband lol- He’ll teach his child how to shoot , with him watchin of course- And at night when he’s in bed with s/o he’ll hear the door open quietly and feel little footsteps on the bed as there child worms there way in between them and Anton wraps his arms around s/o and child- When s/o is sick and can’t do housework he does it and watches there child- His child teases him sayin “ he’s the mama now “- Which results in Anton tickling them till they can’t breathe- When the child gets older Anton shows them how to do a lil maintanince work , change oil in the car ect.- And when Anton has business to attend to he always brings back a present - And if the child misbehaves he doesn’t yell at them but he does teach them a lesson so if they do somethin there not suppose to do Anton puts them to work- When the child is old enough to go to college Anton wonders if he was a good father which s/o reminds him that he’s the best they’ve ever known_______________________________________________________________________

( Sorry just saw this) He’d be the gentle giant! Not sure his exact height as I haven’t read the book or maybe it’s not mentioned at all, but he is a big fella and thinking about him with someone 5ft or smaller is making me smile.

He wouldn’t treat them like something to just carry around, he would let them have a lot of freedom and space if they desired. Also, I think they’d be pretty protective of him too!

thank you 😊it's an Anton request and it's very au(I suppose) where Anton always travels to his jobs with his wife yn,who might seem his opposite(girly dresses and smiles a lot)but is just like him. I've been reading about Hades and Persephone and it came to me.what do you think?

Ok not gonna lie I’ve thought bout this to but as strange as it may seem I can see it happening_______________________________________________________________________- May be annoying at first but grows used to it - Observes his wife’s actions,ticks,expressions- Obviously loves s/o bc hell he married them- Not a big fan with shopping sprees specially when said wife picks Anton’s clothes out he’s reluctant at first but caves in and just wants to make his wife happy and smiley- Protective as hell if even a scratch he ain’t happy- Anton And s/o have arguments but they both end up resolving it or simple accept the outcomes - And when they have to travel they both enjoy the silence knowing each other’s presence is a comfort- And of course Anton’s wife is a lil pissed when he gets hurt but they always take care of Anton who is grateful for them _______________________________________________________________________Hope u like em I want u 2 be pleased with it any feel free to ask again or message me lol😁
