i am tired and sleepy i m using this as an exucse to talk about koishi evne though i haven o idea waht to talk about i just think koishi is really neat and i wish she was playbale in a mainline touhou... i would be dedicated enough to do bullet patterns if i could do it as my favorite guy... zun i promise to buy ur game if you do ittt
i like to imagine koishi is one of the strongest beings in gensokyo. just on a pure power and dodging level. she doesn't always bring out her full potential (mostly because they're too busy having fun), but it's there.
I'm not sure if it'd be easier for him to bring it out if he had his eyeball back open, but i'd like to imagine that they're still stronger than Satori... given they don't panic too much from mind-reading
we need more art of koishi using heart spears. i think they're cool!
though they also make me ask the question of: is the inside of a satori just filled with third-eye spaghetti? the spears can come out of koishi's arms, independent of where her third-eye is. so i think it'd be funny if his insides were spaghetti
i think this is koishi's funniest move
there's something so blunt about it. she hurdles down so fast it launches her forward when she hits the ground. his best idea of a downward attack was slamming his lower half into the enemy, and somehow it still works.
if she played a gacha game they would either lose all of satori's money or immediately uninstall from getting bored, and there is no in-between
koishi headcanoning / theorizing time / talking about whatever the heck once again:
i think before koishi closed their eye, their "battle theme" was a lot more like Last Remote than it was like Hartmann's Youkai Girl.
Last Remote is an incredibly emotional and bittersweet song. it's representative of all of the pain that koishi left behind, but also all of the beauty in life she abandoned. his relationship with his sister will never be the same again, and he's barely had any chances to make lasting connections with others since.
meanwhile, Hartmann's Youkai Girl quite literally references her current condition as an unconscious wanderer. it's got a lot of silly energy and it's comparatively happy to Last Remote, but there's just something... wrong about it. it's like a false paradise.
im not saying koishi isn't a silly girl at heart (it is still her unconscious self talking after all), but i do think a theoretical battle theme for koishi-with-her-third-eye-open would sound a lot more like a mix of these two songs. probably leaning towards Last Remote if they're still having a mental breakdown.
