I have to work on a term paper right now and while I hate this course and don’t enjoy academic work in general, I realized I love agressive academic writing.
An example from my thesis (before I censor it & hand it in of course):
“Since corpus evidence proves that stative verbs are in fact regularly used in the progressive, their use in the progressive is obviously correct, therefore prescriptivists can shove their opinions up their asses, the evidence spoke, assbutts!”
