Something about the resurgence of cannibalism in literature and film really mesmerized me, especially cause people have pointed out how much cannibalism can link to queer love and relationships. (especially the ‘i want to consume you whole’ and the ‘this is forbidden’)
It’s just a weird thought but something about food make’s literature and film different, especially with how food is represented. I’m a sucker for biblical imagery so slap an apple on the screen ans have a fly coming out of it and Ill be writing a ten page essay on how the fruit was a facade for reality in no time. (my notes app will never see the light of day.)

Like i just imagine reader is a famous rockstar and Abby’s daughter (in this scenerio Abby would have been a teen pregnancy) drags her to a concert- turns out Abby realizes that your family friends (an older sibling of yours being in Abby’s grade/year or neighbours) and things get awkward when the two families have a dinner together.
I picture reader having spotted Abby at the concert and so your kinda eyeing her up like “I know what you are…” and Abby’s trying to not fumble because you keep making ‘my-art-is-for-all-ages’ flirting (basically making Abby flustered because her daughter is also there and your whole family is there and its insane because the age gap)
I imagine reader is prob 25-27 and Abby being 36-37ish with Abby’s daughter being around 17-18 (so Abby would have had her senior year-ish (why am i going so indepth??))
Anyways she has me froth at the mouth cause just imagine how mischievous it would be- like Abby trying to hide the relationship but whenever she’s at work (i picture her as some Doctor or something) she hears the interns gossiping about your new girlfriend and she can’t help but giggle…

Like her songs are so sad and slow, but she also writes complete bs into them sometimes.
I can imagine her writing songs like graceland about reader, and reader being rockstar! Ellie’s childhood best friend.
For the rockstar! ellie x rockstar! reader girlies I can imagine the two having this weird dynamic connected to the childhood best friend to lover trope. Like the two of them loved one another but never admitted it until it was too late and now (years later) alot of their songs intertwine as they use the same metaphors for one another. (This is so self indulgent because ive been listening to Pheobe Bridgers on loop but when I say the two have extended metaphors for one another in their songs I kinda mean how in both ‘moon song’ , ‘i know the end’ and ‘killer’ they all interlink with Ellie being the killer motif and reader being this ‘dog who always comes back with a bird in her teeth’)
Further self indulgence but I can imagine their reunion one day (like a family event or something) where reader breaks the ice being saying “so you wrote a song about me?” and ellie simply says “i wrote the entire album about you.”
Anyways- soft rockstar! Ellie has my heart and soul. She’s a sweetheart who is too scared to admit her love.

Something that has always plagued my mind with girlfriend! Ellie is how she would dedicate her instagram to you. I can imagine her posting your photos with cringey captions like “My muse.” and photo dumping horrible fisheye photos of your forehead for her followers to see.
I think she is also incredibly kind about her photos (especially in modern day non-tlou au) where she has a digital camera she stole from joel that she take’s everywhere- most of it being taken up of stills of her favorite person (you.)
Def takes photos of you doing the most mundane stuff and for some reason she just makes it so beautiful it has you in awe (??) Like she will take a picture of you doing the dishes and suddenly your some vogue model in a dreamy life.
These are the kinda digitals Ellie takes, and it’s caused her to gain a cult following online which she actually always forgets about (like “oh yeah that one got 14k like… i didnt realize… oh” so nonchalantly) :
