You were peacefully lying next to Yongguk. You stared at his face. It never bores you to look at him. He always had this something that attracts you.
You weren't so sure why he chose you as his girlfriend. Sometimes you would go with him to his appointments and you felt ugly. The women he worked with were way prettier than you and he would deserve someone as pretty as him.
Somehow you were scared that if you talk with him about your lack of self-love, he would go.
You knew this wouldn't be the case, but you still had this odd feeling everytime you thought about it.
A hand on your face brought you back to reality, back to the man of your dreams.
"Hey, what is my beauty thinking about?" ask Yongguk in his raspy morning voice, his eyes have closed.
You loved his voice in the morning. It just gave you chills all the time.
"Nothing specific."
He didn't seem to take your lie as he looked a little confused and more worried than before. "Well it doesn't seem like nothing. You're crying Y/N. So what's your problem? You can talk to me."
Now you were the one looking confused. Your hand swept over your cheek and you felt moisture on your fingers. You were indeed crying. Brief sobs were escaping your mouth.
You held your hand on your mouth and desperately tried to stop yourself from crying. It had the converse effect and your sobs grew louder.
Two strong arms pulled you in a hug. Your head land on his firm chest and your crying was now hysterical.
He tried to soothe you and rubbed his hand in circles on your back.
"Shhh, it's okay. Calm down."
You really tried hard to stop. But it would just automatically proceed.
Yongguk took your head from his chest and squeezed it with his hands. He looked deep into your eyes and this somehow calmed you down. He waited until your sniffing was the only thing audible.
He began to speak softly to you. "Now tell me. What's your problem? I promise you, everything will be alright."
You thought for a while. You knew you wouldn't get away with a lie so easily, therefor he knew you too well. But you couldn't muster the courage to speak the truth.
He sensed that something was still stopping you from telling him. Otherwise you would have told him right away. So he tried to interrogate you smoothly.
"Does it have something to do with your work?" You just shoke your head as a no.
"Then is it about me? Did I do something wrong?" You stiffened. It did have something to do with him, but it was more of a problem with yourself. So it hurts you that he thought he did something wrong. You needed to tell him the truth. He shouldn't think bad about himself.
Your eyes were getting watery again and when the first tears started to fall, swept Yongguk them away with his thumbs.
"No you did nothing wrong. Please don't think like this. It's my fault. I'm just insecure. I don't understand why you want to be with me. Everytime I go with you to your appointments, I feel poor. I mean you could have everyone -"
"Why would I want someone other than you? Y/N you're perfect for me. I like everything about you. I really mean it. You're my best friend and my love of my life. So tell me why would I go to someone who can never be better than you? Don't think about such things. Nobody is flawless, myself included and you know this."
