I donāt believe in signs from the universe.
However thereās a bat in my work place and it seems Iām gunna be romancing astarion once again tonight.
My Batstarion headcannon is that Tav lets him feed off them willingly like normal, but thereās no fear of Tav being drained because heās so small. So Tav happily lets their silly bat boyfriend gorge himself on their blood until he is finally pulled off and he just looks like this.
Like fully lost in the sauce with a messy mouth, š„“expression, and fat little belly. You cannot convince me otherwise and I will die on this hill.

They can't handle him at his worst but wanted him at his best ugh
you know what's frustrating? finding art with bat astarion -> telling artist "thank you for drawing ascended astarion" and hearing back -> "that's not ascended astarion". fandom hates him soooooooo much. they stole his cutest parts, appropriated their version and called it "batstarion" only an ascended astarion can turn into a bat........................................................................................................................................................... ascended astarion can be cute, too..................................
My favorite canon detail about batstarion is that in the epilogue, when he's in that form and comes out of it, he does so very gracefully with a twirl. But if you just click on him to talk to him in bat form, he has the same animation you get as a druid getting out of wild shape. That lumbery, sort of clumsy transformation back into humanoid form.
Like he was caught off guard and didn't have time to transform back in the graceful way he likes. I could see him fussing and pouting over it. "Don't distract me in bat form! >:C"
