yesterday i posted an sfm shitpost of me messing around with Marina's model, today i got a hang of using the program properly and attempted to recreate Marina's pose as accurately as i could from visual reference :D
this was all done without rigging as i literally cannot rig her properly without her becoming a smashed and compressed mess laying halfway through the floor lmao. also her fingers are the wrong colour for some reason... i'm probably gonna have to mess around with the lighting or something, but as a posing test, i'm really quite proud of this render :)

i feel like not using a rig kinda gives me a little more freedom with expressions though and i'm already used to using the physgun and-
-moving each part individually
even if using a rig is way quicker and easier of a process. i'm more used to moving each part one at a time like a stop motion puppet
i'm so gmod brained i can't just use a rig like a regular human being lmao
but yeah i'm very proud of this render :)
posing splatoon models is really fun and i should really make more stuff with them
also i finally disabled the AO option
that was what was making the last screenshot i posted look so grainy and crusty
it doesn't look good on splatoon models. takes away the shine.
