Congratulations. You all bullied a game dev company into changing the expressions for A!A kisses because you couldn't handle the reality that it IS an abusive relationship and the kisses were meant to show that since you guys couldn't get it through your heads the first time.

OR, and this is just a thought. Larian realised that limiting the expressions in that way was severely immersion breaking for the people who RP as evil/encourage A!As actions. I've said this before and I'll say it again. The game does not force a negative narrative onto you, there are dialogue options for people that have no issues being his consort and even enjoy that dynamic for their playthrough. This is a roleplaying game. There is no "reality".

It's a good thing for the players expressions to change so people don't have to see their evil durge or tav suddenly scared of a little choking when they've already asked A!A to "make it hurt" when being turned. It makes no sense from an RP perspective.

I think everyone understands that A!A isn't exactly a healthy dynamic. We're not children.

I also find it really interesting that the only people who seem to be upset about Larian fixing the expressions, are people who claim they'd NEVER ascend Astarion and push that narrative onto others.

Honestly I'm more happy to see that Wyll is finally getting the fixes he desperately needs. Larian is doing some really good work and I'm super happy to see what's being fixed/improved.

so now I’m wondering, do AA’s “sun king” powers come only from the Absolute? Or does all that darkness and light-stealing come from being the ascendant? Also where do you think the random spawn came from??

Alright it's been a couple days since the initial leak and I'm gonna assume most people have seen it already. Also this made me think of "sun king" by the beatles and I cannot think of anything but that song playing in the background as he's walking and holding his hand out to the guy (specifically the lines of "everybody's laughing/ everybody's happy/here comes the sun king")

Idk! I mean he essentially does become a god by ascending. Seemingly unlimited powers, immortality, can walk in the sun. Who's to say that one of his powers isn't being able to harness the power of the sun, either through the rite or from becoming the Absolute.

And I believe the spawn are a nod to his lines of creating a nocturnal horde and wanting to cast a fog over the world for his children (there's black mist swirling around as the spawn appear, if you look closely).

Either way I'm fuckin excited.
