also maybe it’s just bc i have a very autistic interest in sociology and human behavior but i like to understand why people think and behave the way they do. it’s been an asset to my ability to advocate for myself and for others. if i know why someone believes something rather than just what they believe, i can have an actual conversation with them. so it always boggles my mind when ppl insist it doesn’t matter why someone believes something, they’re Just Wrong And Should Change Their Mind. like yeah if i could snap my fingers and make someone not transphobic i’d do that but i live on planet earth so the only thing that is gonna potentially get someone to change their mind as long as they’re not too far gone is having an honest conversation with them. i have changed several minds this way, including my own parents, so it’s frustrating to see ppl discouraging this.

That is just an absolutely sick thing to say about and to someone. I have friends whose family members have gotten kicked of of their homes and then ended up dead somewhere else just because they couldn't find acceptance and just because people like 'Their Kind' were considered an 'Abomination to Society' and 'People who were living a sinful life' were not allowed to be alive. I once overheard somebody say that 'Those gay Freaks could be put in an Institution for living here'. This was in the city, so I didn't know the guy. But in the OG post, the person mentioned that 'I'm doing it for the love of the game' and that shooting a fictional character with a gun was 'A sport that I would enjoy'. Also saying that you'll succeed doing that act of likely pre-meditated murder and saying that you'll enjoy doing that, makes me think that you should think harder on what you want to do better in your life. You really are a sick person.
