"Almost done."
Sorom smoothed out the shirt on Hyunwoo's back to get out the last stubborn wrinkle from his posture. She gently pressed her palms in the middle of his shoulders to have him stand up straighter, as if he wasn't tall enough. Then she was walking back to his front and examining the outfit she'd put him in with a satisfied smile on her face.
"This will work," she said, pleased with the design she'd spent the last three nights working on. "Your parents requested something more elegant than your usual. Hopefully they'll be pleased with this." Sorom reached up and moved a piece of his hair out of the way. She was always fussing with something. Hyunwoo was like her own personal model -- she loved it whenever she was hired to put an outfit together for him.
"There. All done."

"Your dad already paid." Probably too much, too. The longer she worked the quicker she found that more and more people were starting to flock towards her designs, probably thanks to his family actually giving her a chance. But that wasn't why she liked working for them; no matter how busy, she always made time in her schedule for him.
Sorom followed him to the mirror and watched as he admired the fit, though she was admiring him and not the clothes anymore. Then that smile. Thankfully another wrinkle developed (which she would have usually hated) and she was back in front of him, both hands on his bicep and forcing him to straighten up again. "I might have to alter this -- or you'll have to stand this straight all night." Though she still hadn't pulled her hands off. Actually, they stayed right there without her even realizing she was still touching him, her thumb gently tracing over the silk back and forth a few times. Her crush on him, at this point lasting months, was starting to get ridiculous.

standing there while being dolled up by the clothing, sorom always loved to dress him in. getting his clothes taylored and fitted by her. ❛ yeah it's for a charity party, i don't really care about the guests coming but my dad said that i need to look fancy and i know i can always trust you on making me look good. ❜ hyunwoo lets out a chuckle as his eyes try and follow sorom moving. ❛ all done ? okay let me go see. ❜ he says and moves to stand in front of the mirror and just like he had thought, sorom never missed on anything. his outfit was perfect, neat and something straight up from those expensive stores but this was more personal and meant more than anything. ❛ you have done it again, noona. ❜ he says, turning his body and smiling as he was checking himself out and then turning to look over at her. ❛ you really should work in big companies you know, like make your work be out there. ❜ always praising her and the work. ❛ has my dad said anything about the payment ? did he pay already ? ❜

"Mhm...yeah. I can tell"
Wait, what? Sorom snapped her arms back to her side, realizing not only had she let her touch linger for too long but she'd been staring. There was no way she could save this.
"Um...yeah. I noticed. Your last outfit I had to alter out so it wouldn't be so tight, I guess I overestimated your measurements this time." That wrinkle formed over his chest again. Sorom didn't bother smoothing it out. "You can take the rest of the outfit, but leave the shirt behind in the dressing room. I'll have to pull it in." Her back turned, grabbing her tape and fabrics and wincing at how she'd just totally gotten caught. "I'll have my assistant drop it off at your house when it's finished. Otherwise, I think we're done here for today."

❛ he did ? did he pay some extra too ? ❜ oh, hyunwoo knew his father would do anything and everything, even handing way too much money for hyunwoo to get good clothes, to look fancy, expensive and well sorom always knew how to do that. being satisfied with his outfit, until there was hands over his arms. hyunwoo just looking down at her, then off to the side and then back at her again. ❛ is there .. something wrong ? ❜ he asks, standing there like a standing emoji. was there something on his face ? feeling a little awkward not in a bad way, now wanting to make the situation a little lighthearted. ❛ it's almost like you are feeling up my biceps, noona. ❜ he says, chuckling out. ❛ i have been working out, can you tell ? ❜

"I didn't mean it like that--" There was no saving it. Sorom wasn't used to this sort of teasing. She'd been so dedicated to making her career work that she'd neglected a lot of her personal life in the process, though there wasn't much there anyways. Trust a handsome young man that she got to play dress up with like her own personal doll to change that, and years of having gone without dating was beginning to show.
Sorom finally mustered up the courage to look at him again, finding him all too comfortable leaning there. Her eyes tracked his relaxed form a little too long. Thankfully he moved. "No, that's ok. My assistant makes deliveries like this all the time. Business has been getting busy, but I'll always make the time for your family." Not because she had a crush on him. Well, maybe because of that, too.

hyunwoo raised an eyebrow, watching her fumble with the tape and fabrics. a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, clearly amused by her flustered state when he had teased her. ❛ you overestimated, huh ? guess i should take that as a compliment. ❜ he teased, not letting the moment slip. his gaze followed her, leaning casually against the wall, arms crossed. ❛ you know, if you wanted me out of this shirt, you could've just asked. ❜ he let the silence hang for a second, enjoying the way she was trying to avoid eye contact. ❛ but sure, i'll leave it behind. don't make it too tight, though. i still have to breathe, you know ? ❜ he flashed her a playful grin before turnign towards the dressing room. ❛ and tell your assistant to handle it gently, this is custom work, after all. ❜ knowing it was her work, wanting to give her credit for it. ❛ unless you want to bring it on your own ? ❜

Sorom's back hit the wall in her own studio. She was stuttering and finding a hard time speaking in her own studio.
"I--I'll try not to," she stuttered out, feeling her face get all hot under his stare. Reality snapped back soon after, clearing her throat and staring at the ground when she remembered why it really could be just a crush. Whatever feelings she had couldn't be a reality and he probably had a girlfriend. Of course someone like him would. "Um. I should have the shirt ready by tomorrow. Is that alright?"

hyunwoo watched her fumble over her words with a sly grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. ❛ oh, noona, you really don't have to explain yourself.❜ his tone was teasing, but there was a softness behind it, like he was enjoying watching her squirm but didn’t want to push her too far. he leaned in a just a little, lowering his voice playfully. ❛ though i gotta say, i didn't realise i was getting the vip treatment. should i be flattered ? ❜ his eyes sparkled mischievously, catching how her gaze lingered on him. ❛ but hey, if you're making time for me, i might well give you a reason to. ❜ straightening up, he shot her a wink. ❛ just don't let your assistant get all the fun. ❜

"I really can't," she said back.
It would be a sure way to ruin her reputation and business she'd started entirely on her own if it got out she had a crush on one of her clients. The growing popularity around her name could be taken down in one day if word got out, and she'd lose everything. It was, after all, just a silly crush.
Sorom's eyes went over his form again, stopping at his face since she finally built enough courage to look at him in the eyes again. Then a warmth flooded her belly that made her feel like a girl again with that excitement of a crush.
"I'll be alright." She pushed herself off the wall. "Things will -- did you just call me by my name?" she asked, realizing she hadn't heard him use honorifics. It actually made her crack a smile, effectively diffusing the awkwardness she'd felt.

hyunwoo watched sorom stumble over her words, the slight blush creeping across her face not going unnoticed. he leaned back slightly, giving her a bit more space, though the teasing smile on his lips remained. ❛ take your time. ❜ he said, his voice softer now, trying not to fluster her more. ❛ tomorrow's perfect. ❜ there was a pause as he noticed her avoiding gaze, and something in her demeanor shifted. his smile faded just a touch, replaced with a look of quiet curiosity. ❛ sorom, ❜ he started, his voice gentle but direct. ❛ is everything okay ? you seem .. a little distracted. ❜ he wasn't oblivious to the effect he sometimes had on people, but something told him this wasn't just her being nervous. he tilted his head, his expression more sincere. ❛ if something's on your mind, you can tell me. ❜

Sorom knew he was teasing her on purpose at this point. Her face was starting to go pink again from his words, feeling like there was double meaning behind them and a spark of hope warmed her insides again.
"I'm alright," she assured him. "I'll have everything ready for you tomorrow." Pushing herself off the wall, she was able to finally slide past him and jotted down a reminder in her planner for her assistant to drop off the shirt once she'd made her adjustments. The planner was packed full. She didn't have much of a life anymore due to her growing popularity and sighed when she realized even if she could have him, she would never have the time to. She wanted something she could never have.
"I would like to have you come by some time soon, though. I'll have to get a new set of measurements so we won't have a delay like this again."

he caught the change in sorom's demeanor, noticing how her initial tension softened into something more vulnerable. the slight shift in her gaze, the way her eyes lingered before meeting his, didn't go unnoticed. he could see the inner struggle, and part of him admired how hard she was trying to keep it together. when she pointed out the lack of honorifics, a subtle grin spread across his face, a mix of playful and genuine. ❛ oh, did i ? my bad. ❜ he replied, holding her gaze now. ❛ maybe i'm just trying to be less formal, you know ? feels weird to keep it all stiff when we've known each other for a while, even if you are a noona. ❜ he let the air hang for a moment, feeling like the awkwardness was fading. ❛ but hey, if it's a problem, i'll go back to being proper, noona. ❜ he added with a teasing lilt, his smile widening. ❛ you sure you are alright, though ? you seem .. different today. ❜

Sorom didn't miss his gaze and she felt her heart skip in her chest. Teasing, she couldn't handle well, but she didn't think she could ever recover from a broken heart given false hope, so when she registered his words and felt a bit of excitement at his promise, there was that painful reminder that he'd probably never want someone like her -- she was just making a name for herself and she was eleven years older. Why would he want her?
"Do you think...tomorrow would work?" she asked. "I could give you the shirt after alterations are made. That way we can make sure it fits. I'm sure your parents will give me another outfit to make within a few weeks, anyways. You always seem so busy."

hyunwoo watched sorom with that teasing grin, noticing the way her cheeks flushed, and he leaned casually against the doorframe, clearly enjoying the effect his words had on her. ❛ i'll hold you to that. ❜ he said, his voice smooth as he watched her scribble into her planner. seeing how packed her schedule was, he raised an eyebrow. ❛ looks like you are busier than i thought. ❜ he added with a slight chuckle. ❛ but don't worry, i'll make time for those new measurements. anytime you need me, just say the word. ❜ his tone remained playful, but there was something genuine in his gaze, a subtle hint that he was more than happy to be part of her crowded world.
