Bokuto x reader: How he would react to you not wanting to cuddle at the moment.
A/n: Hello everyone, this is my first time ever writing a fanfiction/scenario thing? And I never thought I would do a haikyuu one but here we are. I made this at like 3:00 in the morning, so please don't judge if you think it's bad. I went for the more "realistic" side of things. So this fanfic is about how he respects the fact that you don't wanna have physical contact all the time. I also proof read this as many times as possible to make sure the grammar was some what good. Shout out to my friend who also helped me proofread and gave me tips. If you would like please give me your input about it, I wouldn't mind reading them.

You realized that it was getting late out. Bokuto should be home soon, you two bought a house awhile back with you’re combined income. You went to your shared bedroom and decided to get dressed in you pj's, doing your nightly routine. As you were done you decided to head down into the basement where you guys had set up a very small in-home movie theater. Nothing really fancy just 24-in TV with a roku, and a comfy loveseat that the you two had picked out. You grab the blanket as you sat down on the couch turning on whatever your favorite movie is. About 10 minutes into the movie you hear the front door open, seeing as the steps to the basement are right next to the front door, you could hear if someone were to enter.
"I'm home!" Bokuto yelled.
"I'm down here Hun." You said back.
You can hear his footsteps walking away as he went to the bedroom to get out of his gym clothes. As soon as he was ready for the night, he decided to come down and join you to see what you were up to.
"Hey Taro, I'm glad you made it back safe." You smile up at him as he walks over to you.
All of a sudden he starts to pull the blanket up from you, sits down very close and is wanting to cuddle. But today you've just been wanting your own bubble space.
Before he could say anything you interpret him.
"Ah Taro, is it okay If we cuddle sometime later? I'm really just not in the mood right now." You say to him gently because you know he can be an emotional cry baby sometimes, but you still love him.
"Oh! Yes of course you can dear, I'm perfectly fine with giving you space."
He moves over to the other side of the loveseat to give you some room.
It's good to know that you have someone who respects your personal boundaries, and doesn't get upset all the time when you say you want space.
You guys go on and talk about how the day has been for the both of you. Bokuto tells you about his day at work and that it was the same as usual. He then goes on about how his friends invited him to a near by gym so they could play some causal volleyball (but we all know that our beloved Bokuto could never waste an opportunity to show off his amazing skills). You then go on about your "amazing" day off and that you just did your fair share of chores. Even if your day wasn't the most eventful, Bokuto still listens to you with interest, asking about more things that happened.
After you two talk you both start to focus on the movie that is playing. You and Bokuto share a couple of laughs here and there, spending the night with each others company. You soon realized that it was very late and waking up early is a pain, so you start to tidy up the room while Bokuto follows suit. You both head up stairs to your shared room and hop in bed where Bokuto can finally get some consensual cuddles.
