the wild robot

you know that feeling when you walk out of a cinema, not really sure who you are anymore?

yeah.

i just went to see DreamWorks' the wild robot on previews and i feel that way; the animation, the story, the voice actors, the vibes, the subtle social commentary regarding a.i. and climate change.. just... yghHHH so good.

I'd write up a review but I'm so blown away I can't put my thoughts into words (that, and I don't want to spoil it)

The Wild Robot

imo this is DreamWorks best film. ever.…closely rivalled by Shrek, but not by much. i'd go as far to say this is the best original (not sequel) animated film I have since the original Inside Out released in 2015.

oh, my, gosh. 10/10. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

this one is going to fly at the 2025 Oscars - even up against Inside Out 2 I would not be surprised if it takes out best animated feature and/or best adapted screenplay... and has a shot at nominations for best picture, and best original score.. 🤞

and will (hopefully) help boost DreamWorks to new heights

roll on the sequel (please, we're begging)

Cant Wait To Finally Experience The Wild Robot In Cinema!

Can’t wait to finally experience the wild robot in Cinema!

But in my country it will earn on October the 3th, so I have to wait a bit longer. I am so excited because everyone says this is the best DreamWorks movie ever made and also the box office counting had begun. I‘ve heard it’s a tragic dark story but with friendliness and love to it, that warms everyone’s hearts.

At the same time it’s also very sad that this is the last in house DreamWorks movie that will be produced. The end of an Era, indeed. I am very sad because of this because DreamWorks was since I was a little girl my favorite studio. Hell they produced my favorite trilogies like httyd, KFP and Madagascar and many other phenomenal movies like puss in boots: the last wish, Rise of the Guardians, Spirit, Shrek, the prince of Egypt and many more. And really let me Love the medium of Animation.

I Finally Watched The Wild Robot And It Was Beautiful Just Like The Httyd Trilogy

I finally watched the wild robot and it was beautiful just like the httyd trilogy

This is definitely my favorite movie of the year. There is so much in it that reminds of the httyd trilogy and everything why I love it so much. Roz, Brightbill and Fink are an extraordinary family but they love each other so much it’s heartwarming. But if I am honest Fink is the best fox character we ever got, he’s fun, shows emotions and has his own character development and personality. He’s the best character in the entire movie. But I can’t forget about Brightbill and Rozs Mother-Son Releationship, which was really beautiful and meaningful just like Hiccup and Toothless‘ Friendship, but it is still something different because Roz and Brightbill are mother and child to each other. Also Brightbill was as duckling just adorable. All the wild animals were also really entertaining but I think my favorite of them was Pinktail with her babys, which’s jokes were the funniest. Especially when one of them was predicted death. Also I really loved the art style, it’s like Puss in Boots2 but expanded. In my opinion the wild robot, the httyd-trilogy and Puss in Boots the last wish are DreamWorks greatest movies. Seeing Toothless, Alex, Marty, Puss in Boots, Shrek, Donkey and Fiona again in the Intro was like meeting old friends.

Little spoiler: In the end it reminds me a bit of the httyd3 ending but it the end comes a bit random. Still good but not better than the ending to dreamworks greatest trilogy, which was made by the same guys.

Im Leaving The Theatre Crying Over This Movie. Tears Streaming Down My Cheeks. I First Read The Wild

i’m leaving the theatre crying over this movie. tears streaming down my cheeks. i first read the wild robot in my 3rd grade class with my best friend next to me and our whole class cried reading the ending. we were so inconsolable our teacher panicked and promised us that it wasn’t the end of Roz’s story, and had to deviate from our regular reading curriculum to buy us the sequel and read it out loud. Roz was the first mother i had encountered who loved unconditionally.

the raw indescribable emotion i felt watching her come to life on the screen, seeing fink and brightbill and the possum family animated so beautifully made me feel again. the wild robot was my escape as a kid, a book i’d return to time and time again and read until it became stagnant in my brain. remembering the illustrations and conversations between characters was something so special for my younger self during this movie. it drove me so insane, i was crying in the first 15 minutes when she put her hand on the tree and the butterflies whipped around her.

every single frame of this movie was a work of art, a love letter to humanity, animation, and the natural world. i am going to be posting excessively about it. this is a threat.
