After I posted this drawing about Wukong turning back to stone, @strange-lace and @ninja-knox-ur-sox-off went a bit ham with that idea.
Until it developed into a full-on movie scene that kept going while it was 2 AM for me.
So of course I had to make it into a comic!
And I also added an extra thing just to give it a bit more emotion
The song Wukong is singing is the cantonese version of the Monkie Kid theme that is sung by Dicky Cheung

to have Tripitaka return only to be the jailers of his family
(that being macaque and MK)
((although i gotta admit this feeds into my personal headcanon that tang isn't tripitaka's reincarnation but a descendant from his family))
