The Scarlet Pimperbill
I've been watching Ducktalea 2017 and Darkwing Duck with my siblings and the fact that 1. Beakley likes the Scarlet Pimpernel(bill) and 2. Launchpad said the Scarlet Pimpernel(bill) is like Darkwing made me happy. I love the musical
Relistening to Falcon in the Dive reminded me of Bushroot's voice.
dear bushcraft/survivalist community
can we please just collectively stop using the term “primitive skills/technology/whatever” and start calling it “traditional skills/technology/whatever” instead? i mean there’s a reason archaeologists and anthropologists made that change
on the one hand, “traditional” is more inclusive than “primitive”, because wherever and whenever you’ve had people who’ve had to live with nature then they’ve generally needed to have the skills to pay the bills. sure you can learn a lot from like a mesolithic hunter-gatherer or a nomadic herder, but you can also learn a lot from just your average turn-of-the-century peasant. heck, i learned a huge lot of what i know from just growing up rural with foraging, fishing, hunting, and farming as just something you do
and on the other you don’t call entire cultures “primitive” so you don’t sound like a racist elitist!
Well...I'm about to be homeless, so that means I'll be living off the land instead, because I would much rather take my chances out in the wilderness than try to live in a society where we can't even get by.
This winter is going to be a tough one for me and my dog, but I'm confident I'll make it through to the summer, and I won't let this stop me from bouncing back. If this is ground zero, just wait till I hit cloud nine.
For anyone who is willing and able, I have this Amazon wishlist of survival gear that I'll be needing this winter. It would help me tremendously to survive the frigid cold of the PNW during La Niña this year.

Thank you to any and all of you who do help, and to those that can't, don't worry. You're still loved
