Who did I (sorta) have a convo with about OITNB back when Season 3 dropped on Netflix?

I can’t remember!  She had finished Season 1 at the time I think and she said she was not liking Piper; she was wondering if it was worth continuing to watch.  My reply button wasn’t on & I didn’t know what I was doing with Tumblr.

If this was you, please message me.  (I probably still don’t know what I’m doing with Tumblr, but I’m willing to learn...)  I’m wondering if you continued watching and what you thought.  (No spoilers for Season 4 - I’m still working my way through it.)

i read this book series several years ago like 2014-15 and i cant remember the name of it, the main characters were teens named Sophie, Tristan, Aiden, Lily i think and another girl i can remember, (i never finished the series bc the books were still bein written) anyways, it had demons i think in it, and the main 5 had powers so it was deff supernatuaral, Sophie was some sort of telepath, Tristan was a shapeshifter, Lily a Healer and Aiden controlled fire, so thats really all i remembered aside from sophies brother bein tortured to death by the woman thats trying to kill her, if anyone could lmk if theyve read or heard of the book that would be amazing, sophie and tristen were a thing i think, so was the other girl and aiden

When I was a kid we had a big box collection of scholastic videos and in every video you would be reada story and shown it through animation that kept the art style of the original picture book.

There's one in particular that I keep thinking about but can't remember the name of. It's about an old woman with a cat who adopts a dog. The cat is immediately very jealous and tries to get rid of the dog. Eventually they succeed, but upon the dog's disappearance the old woman becomes depressed (or sick, I hardly remember) and refuses to leave her bed. She keeps asking where the dog is and the cat brings him back, having learned that the old woman's happiness is more important than their pride.

I'm hoping against all hope that someone else is familiar with this story and can tell me the name. I don't think I'll know rest until then.
