Der Gondwana Canyon Park wurde 1996 gegründet und ist ein landschaftlich reizvolles, privates Naturschutzgebiet. Die Landschaft wird dominiert von Plateaubergen, die faszinierende Aussichten über die weit ausgedehnten spärlich bewachsenen Ebenen bieten. Besucher können in einer der vier Lodges der Gondwana Collection oder auf einem Campingplatz übernachten. Aus den Einkünften der Lodges und der Parkgebühr wird ein Prozentsatz direkt in Umweltschutz im Gondwana Canyon Park investiert.

In 1996 the private and scenic nature reserve ‘Gondwana Canyon Park’ was founded. Its landscape is dominated by plateaus which offer fascinating views over the widely spread and sparsely vegetated plains intercepted by granite hills and dolerite dikes. Visitors can stay over in one of the four lodges of the Gondwana Collection or on the campsite. From the income generated by the lodges and the park fees a certain amount is invested directly into the conservation of the Gondwana Canyon Park.

Quiver trees, Nama culture, rugged landscape and an impressive sweeping rock formation characterise Canyon Village. Stone-and-thatch chalets are positioned in a horse-shoe design around a celebration of young quiver trees and the sprawling thatched central area, bedecked with bougainvillea, serving as restaurant, bar, lounge and reception.

The history of southern Namibia is depicted in murals on the restaurant's wall. Staff members take pride in wearing their traditional patchwork dress and headdresses here, bringing in the spirit of the south and the Nama people, one of the first peoples of southern Africa.

This lodge is an ideal base to explore the Fish River Canyon, twenty kilometres away.

Köcherbäume, Nama-Kultur, raue Landschaft und eine beeindruckende Felsformation zeichnen das Canyon Village aus. Die strohgedeckten Chalets finden sich hufeisenförmig angeordnet um eine Gruppe junger Köcherbäume und des weitläufigen, mit Bougainvillen geschmückten zentralen Bereichs, der als Restaurant, Bar, Lounge und Rezeption dient.

Die Geschichte Südnamibias ist in Gemälden an der Wand des Restaurants dargestellt. Die Mitarbeiter sind stolz darauf, hier ihr traditionelles Patchworkkleid und ihren Kopfschmuck zu tragen, was den Geist des Südens und der Nama, eines der ersten Völker des südlichen Afrikas, einbringt.

Die Lodge ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt ist, um den 20 Kilometer entfernten Fish River Canyon zu erkunden.
