Witches Spell -Castiel Imagine
Cas x reader
Summary: A witch casts a spell on Castiel which causes him to act weird and very protective and needy. Which is all directed towards the reader.
Your hand patted the ground under the presst. Your eyes watched as the witch flicked her wrist tossing Sam across the room towards where Dean was pinned to the wall. He shouted for Sam as he hit a bookshelf and fell to the ground. The books coming from the shelves following him to the ground. Your fingers wrapped around the old dagger you had found in the Bunker store room which would kill her. You pushed yourself up.
Cas jumped at her but she was quicker and held up her hand. Cas’s eyes widened as he came to a stop not being able to move. ‘You’re a looker aren’t you, and an Angel’ The blond haired bitch smirked. ‘I could use that’ You ran at her jumping over the couch. She turned and flicked her wrist. You went flying back, your legs hit the couch and you flipped hitting the wall and falling on your shoulders. You still held the dagger in your hand as you struggled trying to get up. You heard her recanting something in, well it wasn’t Latin like the usual witches, you knew Latin. Damn Witches, you’d take ANYTHING over them.
You grabbed the back of the couch as Cas doubled over and fell onto the couch holding onto his head groaning. ‘Cas’ Dean shouted from the other side of the room and she looked at him. You let out a groan as you pulled yourself to your feet. She turned to you and you brought your hand back and tossed the dagger. It landed in her chest and her eyes widened. You flung yourself towards her and grabbing it pulled it out of her. It was coated in blood. She fell hitting the ground.
There was a crash as Dean fell from his spot. ‘Check on Sam’ You told him gesturing to the giant man who hadn’t moved yet as you dropped the knife stepping over her and landing on your knees in front of the grimacing Angel. ‘Cas’ You breathed placing your hand on his cheek pulling his head up. He groaned and opened his eyes. He froze as the simmering blue made contact with your own. His lips parting a little and a soft breath left them.
You furrowed your eyebrows at his strange behaviour. ‘Cas? Is that you?’ You asked panic rising in you chest. If that stupid witch had done something to Castiel you would sell your soul just to bring her back for the next ten years just to kill her over again. But you let out a breath as he nodded slightly. ‘Are you okay?’ He nodded again before leaning into your hand closing his eyes a peaceful expression on his face. You watched him for a second before standing. Castiel’s hand gripped yours keeping it pressed to his cheek. His other hand came up and traced along the back of your thigh. You took a deep breath in, you’d always wanted to feel Castiel’s hands on you like that, spent long nights imagining it, away or asleep. But now wasn’t the time to get wrapped up in that. ‘Dean, is Sam okay?’ Dean looked up from his position by Sam and nodded. ‘Cas?’ You nodded at him. Sam must have been unconscious because he hadn’t moved as Dean cleared the books off him. ‘Get him to the car, I’ll get rid of her’ He nodded.
You almost fell back as Cas stood before you. ‘No’ His arm wrapped around your waist holding you against him. Something that was weird for him, he usually avoided contact only giving you the occasional hug or when you were hurt from a hunt. And even then he was uncomfortable and tense. This time he leaned into you. Almost curving his large body around you. You grabbed his trench coat to steady yourself. ‘I will discard of the body, you must relax, you have just killed someone’ He let go of you and you blinked and looked at Dean. He furrowed his eyebrows as Cas moved around you. ‘I was going to say you could give Dean a hand with Sam’ You turned. He had the dead witch in his arms and looked up at you. He nodded. ‘I will do that too’ The flutter of wings was heard before he disappeared.
You glanced back at Dean and began walking around to him. ‘Was it just me or was that weird, even for Cas?’ Dean just shrugged. ‘Give me a hand with him’ You crouched down and grabbed one of Sam’s arm heaving him up. ‘Jesus, for someone who eats nothing but salad he weighs a bloody tonne’ You groaned under the weight of the six foot man. You grunted as you and Dean tried to carry Sam out of the flat. ‘How do we get him down the stairs?’ You moaned and then gasped as Castiel appeared in front of you.
His eyes landed on you and widened. ‘No, no, no’ He rushed forwards and took Sam’s arm from you. Dean grunted as Castiel pulled you towards him and and moved you away from the brothers. ‘You landed on your shoulder, you can not carry Sam’ He stood straight. ‘I will’ He grabbed Sam’s arm and took your place. You and Dean shared a ‘what the hell’ glace before you felt a hand on your shoulder and you were back at the car.
You wobbled a little, usually Cas did that when you could lean on him and landing on your own left you a little unsteady. Suddenly there was arms around you and you were pulled into a hard chest, Cas. You wrapped your hands around his arms. ‘Son of a-’ You heard Dean grunt as himself and Sam’s unconscious body fell against the car. ‘I apologise, I did not mean to disorientate you’ Castiel looked down at you completely ignoring Dean who was giving him a bitch face that could rival his brothers. His eyes searching your face. He began to rub small soothing circles on your back. ‘Eh, it’s okay?’ You didn’t know what to say, the whole situation was confusing you. He stepped back making sure you were steady before looking at Dean, his face stoic. ‘Let’s get back shall we?’ You asked looking between the three boys.
Cas nodded and reached around you to open the car door. Dean leaned down and dumped Sam in the back as you and Cas helped push him in. ‘How did he ever sleep in that car?’ You looked at the tall man lying awkwardly in the back. Dean shrugged. ‘Looks like you’ll have to sit up front with me, Cas you can just zap back right?’ Cas’s eyebrows shot up and he actually looked a little appalled. ‘And leave Y/N? No’ He shook his head. Castiel’s hand fisted the back of you t shirt and he tugged him a little closer to him. ‘I will stay with her here or she will come back with me’ Again you and Dean shared a look. Okay, something was wrong. You laid your hand on Castiel’s arm. ‘Cas, I’ll see you back at the Bunker okay? I should be here to keep an eye on Sam when Dean’s driving’. Sadness filled the Angels eyes and his face dropped. ‘You-you want me to leave?’ His voice almost cracked and you blinked surprised.
He looked like a kicked puppy. His eyes widened and he dropped his hand from your back. ‘I’m sorry, I did not mean to upset you Y/N’ He rushed stepping towards you. ‘What did I do? I will never do it again, I apologise completely for it, do not send me away’ His hands wrapped around your arms as he left only inches between your bodies. ‘I did not mean it, please’ You felt surprise fill you and heard Dean grumbling something about Witches and this all being too damn weird and he was out. Your mouth opened and closed like some kind of fish. You had no idea what was going on and why he was acting so strange. You were with Dean though, it was that damn witch. ‘Cas’ You sighed keeping eye contact.
Man, those eyes would be the death of you one day. You knew they weren’t Castiel’s, they were Jimmy’s, but they suited him so well. They were innocent and beautiful, yet could be so hard at times, just like the Angel behind them. ‘I’m not sending you away, you’ll be waiting for us when we get back’ You were only an hour and a half’s drive from the Bunker anyways. ‘We will be there soon’ He shook his head. His fingers tightened around your arms. ‘That means being away from you’ You opened your mouth to say something but got lost in his eyes. You had never seen him so sad. His eyes pleading with you not to make him leave. ‘Then don’t go Cas, and you didn’t upset me. I’m fine’ The sadness disappeared from his face and a small smile graced those full lips. ‘I shall ride back with you then’ He let go of your arms and opened the car door for you. He laid his hand on your lower back as he guided you towards the open door.
You smiled at him and climbed into the car shrugging at Dean. He rolled his eyes and just muttered something you didn’t quite catch under his breath. Castiel slipped in beside you closing the door and looked between you and Dean. His eyes narrowed towards the older Winchester. ‘I do not like this arrangement’ He grumbled and then wrapped his arms around you. You gasped as he lifted you up moving you across his body and switching your places. ‘Better’ He threw a glare at Dean again before turning his back to him and turning to you. One of his arms still wrapped around your back pulling you to him. You gulped as he tightened his grip pulling you away from the door and pressing your body against his. ‘Are you in pain?’ He asked as Dean blinked and shook his head before starting the Impala and pulling away from the curb.
You furrowed your eyebrows a little at Castiel’s possessive behaviour, he certainly had never done that before. ‘My shoulder is a little sore, but that’s only from the fall. Cas are you okay?’ He ignored your question and reached his hand up and pressed it to the side of your neck. The pain from your shoulder seeping away as he healed you. ‘Cas’ You wrapped your hand around his wrist. ‘What’s wrong?’ You breathed. Castiel just smiled at you as he shifted so that you were leaning on him. ‘Hey any chance of you using some of that Angel mojo to heal my brother?’ Dean grunted from beside Castiel.
Again he was ignored.
Okay it was not like Castiel to ignore Dean, no matter what was going on. ‘I am fine, I am excellent Y/N’ Cas answered his eyes on your hand wrapped around his wrist. ‘Cas will you heal Sam?’ You breathed. He nodded eagerly. He took his hands from you and turned leaning over the seat. He placed two fingers on Sam’s forehead. Sam gasped and shot up. Castiel turned back to you and smiled. ‘I healed him’ You nodded as he looked at you expectantly.
He shifted back towards you and wrapped his arm around you again. He tightened his arm around you pulling you closer to him. Your side pressed against his chest as he sat with his back turned to Dean. ‘Um, thank you’ You tried and he seemed satisfied with you. You glanced at Sam who was looking around the car. Dena chuckled and started to fill him in on what happened. Castiel asking you if you needed anything and offering to get it for you. He even zapped out to get you a water, which gave you and the boys to have a minutes conversation on what the hell was wrong with your Angel. When he zapped back in he opened it and again wrapped his arm around you making sure hold you tightly against him.
The next two days were exactly the same. Castiel barely left your side only when you asked him to grab you something. You were happy Cas was around, you really were but he was constantly there. It was beginning to get irritating. And you couldn’t show him that, the last time you had snapped he had looked like he was about to cry and kept apologising saying how much of a horrible person he was for upsetting you.
You groaned as you turned to find Castiel standing behind you again. ‘Jesus Cas’ You snapped dropping the plate you had in your hand in surprise. You thought he was still in the library. ‘Why the hell were you standing so close’ You snapped throwing your hands up into the air. ‘Can’t you just stay in the library for one minute’ You crouched reaching for the shattered plate. ‘I will take care of that’ He crouched in front of you grabbing your hand before you could touch the shard of delf. ‘Castiel, I am not an invalid’ You yanked your hand away from him and stood putting your hands on your hips glaring down at him. ‘I can do things myself. You need to back off’ He snapped and the mess you had made disappeared. ‘You are upset’ He looked up at you through his lashes. ‘Damn right I am, I can’t even go to the bathroom without you wanting to follow me’ He stood quickly blinking.
His eyes met yours. ‘I-I am the reason you’re upset?’ He whispered his voice cracking. ‘I need space Castiel’ You snapped again. ‘From me? You do not want me around’ That stopped you in your traces your anger subsiding. His eyes looked moist and his lip trembled. ‘I-I didn’t mean to upset you, I wanted to know if you were okay. I’m sorry’ He looked down. ‘Cas, cas. I’m sorry. It’s okay’ You tried to reassure you. ‘No, no it’s not. I upset you, me’ He breathed. ‘I just wanted to make you happy, I’m sorry Y/N’ Your heart broke as his voice shook. ‘Cas’ You breathed. Why were you so stupid. It wasn’t him, it was this damn spell none of you could figure out. ‘Cas’ You stepped forwards and wrapped your arms around him.
You had learned since you had returned that Cas craved contact from you. As soon as your arms draped over his shoulders he wrapped his around your waist and pulled you tightly towards him. He bent burying his face in your neck. ‘I’m sorry, I’ve been trying so hard to make you happy I did not know I was upsetting you’ He nuzzled into your neck and you melted into him. You knew it was the spell but it was nice to have Cas in your arms and not feeling so tense. ‘I’m a horrible person, I’ve upset you. I am careless and inconsiderate to you’ He sighed and your heart shattered into a million pieces. ‘No, no Cas’ You breathed your hand coming up to stroke the back of his head. ‘You’re not, you are one of the best people I know. You are one of my best friends and I love you. You could never upset me’ You hugged him tighter. ‘I’m just hungry, I’m snappy when I’m hungry’ Castiel pulled back immediately. ‘I can help’ He looked so eager to please that you forced a smile on your face and nodded
You dropped your head to the table and felt a hand on your knee. ‘Are you okay? Are you tired?’ Castiel’s deep voice sounded worried. ‘Thirsty’ You muttered. ‘Beer? Water?’ He rushed. ‘A beer’ You nodded at him and looked up. His hand disappeared as he stood. You had asked him to stop zapping everywhere to get you things, it gave you time to talk to the boys about him. ‘You get me one to Cas?’ Dean asked. It amused him sometimes how the Angel would ignore all other requests but yours and seeing as his bottle was almost full this must have been one of those times.
Cas sent him a hard look as he walked from the room. ‘I think it’s time to call Rowena’ You leant across the table. You had brought this up before but was met with total resistance. Dean shook his head. ‘No, we can figure this out’ You rolled your eyes. ‘We’ve been at it for two days Dean’ You growled. ‘Call the bloody Witch’ He crossed his arms. ‘It’s only been two days, we have plenty more books Y/N’ He gestured to the stack near Sam. ‘You’re not the one that he’s following around, I don’t know how much longer I can take it Dean’ You snapped your voice low. ‘He watches me sleep’ Dean smirked.
Sam sighed and sat up finally joining your conversation. ‘I think she’s right Dean, that is a bit creepy’ You nodded and pointed to Sam. ‘I almost shot him this morning, I completely forgot what was going on’ You growled but Dean still looked unconvinced and Sam opened his mouth again but you cut him off. ‘I’m going to have another break down and I’ll hurt his feeling again Dean. Do you know what it’s like to see him trying not to cry?’ Dean shrugged.
He leaned forwards. ‘I thought you’d be happy with this, all you wanted was Cas around, you used to complain all the time. With your feelings for the blue eyes Angel this should be your dream come true’ You narrowed your eyes. ‘I’m calling the damn witch Winchester’ You growled out and reached for your phone.
Dean intercepted you. ‘No’ He growled. ‘Is he bothering you?’ Castiel’s voice growled from the door. All three of you looked towards him. His eyes were on Dean as he glared. The low dangerous tone of his voice sent shivers through you. ‘No, he’s not’ You reassured Castiel. ‘I was just going to bed, you can give Dean that’ You told him about the lone beer bottle in his hand. You dropped the phone and shoved your chair back. ‘If we don’t have anything by tomorrow Winchester, I will’ You turned and began walking towards the bedrooms.
You stopped when there was a smash. ‘Cas’ Sam’s voice shouted. You whirled around the see something you never thought you would. Cas had Dean by the collar and had his shoved back into the chair. Dean’s eyes were wide as he took in his best friend leaning over him threateningly. Cas was glaring at Dean. ‘I can feel her emotions Dean’ Cas growled. Sam grabbed his coat but Cas shoved him off causing him to stumble back. ‘You have upset her’ You had never heard Castiel speaking like that. He sounded just plain scary. Then his eyes started to glow that pale blue. ‘I should smite you right now for upsetting her, and then believing you have the right to lay a hand on her’ You rushed around the table.
You wrapped your hands around Castiel’s arm and tugged him. ‘Cas, no stop’ You cried. He tore his eyes away from Dean and looked up at you. His eyes went back to the beautiful blue of his vessel and his face softened. ‘I’m okay, I promise. He didn’t upset me’ Cas scoffed and threw a side glance at Dean. ‘He did’ You shook your head and tugged at him again. ‘No, please Cas, stop’ You didn’t know whether Castiel would actually hurt Dean but with the way he was acting lately you didn’t want to chance it. ‘Come on, please’ Cas glared at Dean one more time before letting him go and standing up straight.
He straightened his own jacket before turning to you. He tugged his arm from your grip and the wrapped it around you. He yanked you close to him pressing you against him as he wrapped his other arm around you as well. You reached around and patted his back. Cas sighed a little and buried his face in your hair. You gulped. ‘I will not allow him to make you feel bad, if he tries again I will remove him from your presence’ Cas tightened his hold on you as you glanced at Dean who was still looking at you both wide eyed. ‘Cas, I should sleep’ You felt him nod but he didn’t pull away. You wiggled a little and he slumped letting you go.
You reached out and took his hand. ‘Come on’ You smiled and watched him light up a little as you walked from the room. ‘I think we should call the witch’ You heard Dean say as you left the library and almost rolled your eyes at him. Of course, Cas threatens his life once and he’s all up for calling the witch then.
You called out to Castiel as you tugged down your pajama shirt. ‘Is that Dean’s shirt?’ He asked as he walked into your room. You looked down, sure enough it was one of Dean’s shirts that had gotten ripped along the bottom and he didn’t want anymore. ‘Yeah, I think so’ Castiel shook his head and began to pull of his trench coat. ‘Cas?’ You furrowed your eyebrows as the tie came next, then the jacket. Then he began to unbutton the shirt. ‘Cas? What the hell’ Your eyes widened as he pulled it from his body. You couldn’t help but let your eyes wander.
Damn, he looked good shirtless. There was a tattoo on his ribs in Enochian. He wasn’t was well defined as Sam but damn. He had a broad strong chest, one you had been pulled into numerous times over the last two days. You had felt the tense muscle through his shirt each time. His shoulders were round and well built. His biceps bulged and the muscle moved as he took off his shirt. His abs were hard but weren’t individually defined, it was exactly how you liked. Your eyes followed the v down to the waistband of his suit pants and you let out an unsteady breath.
You sighed, damn he was perfect. ‘Put it on’ He held his shirt out to you. You shook your head but you took in his upper body once more ‘What?’ You furrowed your eyebrows tearing your eyes away from his bare torso. ‘I do not like you seeing you in Dean’s clothes, I am asking you to take it off’ You blinked in shock and opened your mouth. ‘Y/n’ Your name fell from his lips in a plea and you let out a breath. ‘Turn around’ You reached out and took the shirt from him. He did as asked. You bit your lip watching his back.
He crossed his arms and the muscles in his shoulders moved and you swear you could have fainted. He was so strong and well built. You knew he wasn’t a tiny guy under that suit but you had no idea exactly how well defined he was. You buttoned up the last one and then let Castiel know he could turn back around. One his eyes landed on you a large smile spread across his face. One that had his teeth on full show and the corners of his bright blue eyes crinkling. ‘Any better?’ You crossed your arms. He nodded quickly his eyes roaming your body and you couldn’t help the blush that heated your cheeks. ‘Much’ You rolled your eyes at his possessive behaviour before turning and climbing into bed.
When you turned you seen him taking a seat on your desk chair. You watched as he fidgeted in the beat.He wrung his hands and looked around the room. Your eyes fell on his lips as he pulled his pink bottom lip between his teeth. Something was off about him. He was acting nervous. ‘Cas’ You asked timidly. He hummed looking up at you. ‘Is everything okay? You’d tell me if something was bothering you right?’ You whispered. He shrugged and his eyes landed on the bed beside you. You recognised the longing in his eyes. ‘I-I want to be beside you, but you are probably mad at me for threatening Dean earlier’ You sighed as he looked up at you with puppy eyes that put Sam’s to shame. ‘I’m not mad at you Cas’ You leaned forwards leaning on your knees as you brought them up to your chest.
His eyes brightened a little. ‘But, I could feel it from you, you were scared’ He paused and then his eyes widened. ‘Did I scare you?’ You opened your mouth to reply but couldn’t If you lied you knew he’d know. And that would make him feel even worse that you were trying to cover it up. ‘I’m happy you’re on my side’ You settled for dancing around the truth. He sat up a little straighter. ‘I feel safe with you protecting me, I know nothing will ever be able to hurt me with you protecting me’ You told him the truth about everything, you always did feel safe with him there.
You had never felt safer with anyone, not even your own Father. You just didn’t tell him he had also terrified you with the way he leaned into his best friend. You let a smile spread across your face. ‘It’s cold in here, would you join me?’ You asked holding out your arms. The smile was almost as big as the last. He stood and hurried over to the bed. ‘Woah, off’ You stopped his gesturing to his shoes. He hurriedly yanked them off and then undid the button to his trousers and dropped them too. He was reaching for his white boxers when you stopped him still in shock from him dropping his pants. ‘No, no, you-eh-you can- you don’t have to take them off’ You gulped. What you would give to have him take them off, but it would have to be him and not some stupid spell. Which undoubtedly would never happen. The real Cas could hardly hug you without getting extremely uncomfortable. You would certainly never be in this position.
Cas looked up at you before dashing forwards. He grabbed the covers yanking them back and slipped under them. He turned to you and smiled. ‘I have been sitting there for the last two nights hoping you would ask me to join you’ He sounded so excited and your heart melted at his words. ‘You should have said Cas’ You smiled. ‘Are you still cold? I have heard body heat warm you’ He reached out for you. One of his arms wrapped around your shoulder and his other hand landed on your bare thigh as he slipped it around your leg.
He gave a small tug and you rolled falling into him. He slipped down laying his head on the pillow. He pulled you into his side. Your head landed on his chest your cheek pressed against the soft skin as you hummed. Your legs fell across his and you felt the hairs tickling the smooth skin. You let your arm fall across his stomach and you nuzzled your face into his chest and tangled your legs with his.
He chuckled. ‘Your feet are very cold’ He reached up and placed his hand on your cheek and you instantly felt warm and comfortable. ‘Thank you Cas’ You nuzzled against his palm and he tightened his arm. You felt him press a kiss against the top of your head. He grabbed a fist of his shirt tangling his fingers in the material at your waist. ‘Sleep Y/N’ He whispered. ‘I will be here when you wake, I will not leave you’ You yawned snuggling into him further.
You felt more comfortable right now than you ever had when you were sleeping before. This was the most safe you had ever felt when you had gone to bed. You had always been scared of something coming to get you in the dark, since you had known what was out there. As a little girl your Father had always salted and devil trapped the house but you were never truly felt safe. Then you went out on your own and were always alert, even after you found the boys it was still in the back of your mind. But now wrapped in Castiel’s arms you actually felt safe. You felt like you had finally found somewhere you could stay and the world could never touch you.
You felt that thought just drift away and the tension leave your body. ‘I don’t want you to leave Cas’ You muttered sleepily. He pressed a kiss to your head again. You sighed content and happy. ‘Don’t leave’ You breathed your eyes firmly closing as sleep tried to take you. But you tried to stay awake. You wanted to savour this moment, it’s not like this was going to happen after the spell is lifted. Sleep had taken you too far to feel guilty about cuddling with him. ‘I promise you, I will not leave’ You hummed content and then sleep finally took you.

Tomorrow - Castiel Imagine
Witches Spell Part 2
Castiel x Reader
Summary: The Team are trying still trying to cope with the repercussions of the spell on Cas.
You groaned and stretched out across the bed not opening your eyes. The buttons on your shirt bit into your ribs a little but you just snuggled further into the bed your fingers running over the soft sheets you and Dean had gone shopping for a few months ago. Then your eyes shot open.
They were met with the dark blue of the sheets. You sighed and felt your heart drop a little. Cas wasn’t there. You pushed yourself up looking around the room. The spell must have worn off during the night and he’d ditched. You sighed when you seen his clothes still on your floor. He hadn’t even stopped to think about his clothes he was that spooked by the situations.
With an angry grunt you tossed the covers off you. That was Cas gone for a good month at least. You should have just left him sitting on your seat last night. You pulled open the drawers grabbing your underwear. That way you wouldn’t have ended up cuddled into him. You groaned remembering you asking him not to leave. You cursed yourself as you grabbed a pair of jeans and tank top.
But the look on his face had melted everything in you. You couldn’t take the longing in his eyes, or the sad expression on his face. And he had looked so happy when you had asked him to join you. You threw open your door and started down the hall towards the showers.
You had just stepped under the hot spray letting the warm it hit your face when you heard shouting from down the hall. Instantly you went into overdrive and grabbed the towel from where you had left it. You wrapped it around you and grabbed the gun from the stand. You sprinted down the halls slipping and almost falling a few times. You rounded the corner as Sam came running down the hall behind you.
Raising your gun you stared down it. Then someone came from your room. You cocked the gun but it was no use. There he stood nothing but his white boxers and a panicked look in his face. His eyes were wide and his lips parted.
‘Cas’ You screamed over his shouts of your name. He stopped short and whipped around to you. You lowered your gun as his eyes fell on you. The look of relief on his face was infectious and then he was in front of you. He reached out and wrapped his arms around your waist yanking you to him. You gasped as he buried his face in your wet neck. ‘What the hell is going on?’ Dean’s voice echoed through the hall. He sounded angry.
You went to pull away but Cas tightened his hold on you.You sighed and wrapped your arms around his shoulders your hand comingup to run through his hair as he clung to you. ‘Cas was looking for Y/n’ Sam cleared his throat from behind you. You tensed when you remembered that you were in a towel. Cas must have felt it as his head shot up. The place spun and you were met with the inside of your room.
You leant heavily on him. ‘Jesus Cas don’t do that’ You breathed and pulled away. But he just tightened his hold on you.’Cas’ You breathed. ‘I thought you had gone’ He nuzzled into your neck again. ‘I had gone to take a shower, which I still have to take’ You complained but kept running your hands through his hair anyways. ‘I thought you had left me’ You let out a long sigh and grabbed his shoulders pushing him away from you. He allowed you to but only let you push him far enough away that his hands still rested on your waist.
He sighed and looked down taking in your appearance. You felt a blush rise up your neck and you cleared your throat. Here you were standing in nothing more than a small towel in front of this beautiful angel who stood in only his white boxers. You couldn’t help but feel a little exposed. His eyes came back up to your face. You took a step back away from him but he reached out and swept you into his arms again. ‘You should not step back’ His breath fanned your face as his husky voice sent shivers down your spine. God you would do anything that voice told you to. You glanced over your shoulder and seen what he was talking about.
On the floor lay a shattered cup and plate. Pancakes lay scattered among them and orange liquid, which you presumed was orange juice. A tray lay beside them and a small daisy. ‘I made you breakfast’ Castiel squeezed you and then the mess disappeared. You looked back at him. ‘I heard breakfast in bed was an excellent way of expressing your affection for someone’ You felt your heart swell at his words. You wondered if his affection was real or was it just the spell.
You knew Cas thought of you as somewhat of a friend. He did not see you like he seen Sam and Dean. It never really bothered you, they had known each other a lot longer and he had pulled Dean and Sam from hell. You often found yourself wondering just how close Cas seen you but you had never dared to ask. Half because you had been totally smitten with the blue eyes angel from the second the boys had introduced you and half because you didn’t want to get your heart broken because it possibly be as much as you liked him. ‘Thank you Cas’ You stood on your toes and pressed a kiss to his cheek. ‘But I still need to shower’ You told him.
Then you were in the shower room again. ‘Jesus Cas’ You grumbled. He smiled lazily at you. ‘I did not want Sam or Dean to see you like this’ You pulled away from him and rolled your eyes. ‘Well you’re going to have to wait outside, I’ll be no longer than 10 minutes’ You watched as he frowned. ‘Please Cas’ You gave him your best puppy eyes. He nodded softly and you took his hand squeezing it. ‘Thank you’ You smiled.
About 10 minutes later you were opening the door towel drying your hair. You jumped as you seen the angel sitting on the ground by the door. ‘Did you have a pleasurable shower?’ He asked. You squatted down and smoothed out his hair. He looked up at you with a soft smile on his face. You smiled. ‘Yes, I like that style on you.’ He furrowed his eyebrows raising his hand and tangling it in the hair that fell down across his forehead. He looked down at the ground and a small smile on his lips. ‘You should put on some clothes Cas’ Before you had even finished your sentence he was clothed, minus his trench coat. ‘Satisfactory?’ You nodded and held out your hand. ‘Perfect’ He let his face spread into a smile. ‘How about we go out for breakfast?’ You asked as he stood and took your hand. ‘I can fly us’ You smiled and thanked him before going to get your money.
You walked back into the bunker with Castiel trailing behind you. He had almost started a fight in the diner and you both had to leave in a rush. ‘I’m sorry, but he shouldn’t have done it’ You rolled your eyes at Castiel as you reached the bottom of the stairs. ‘It’s fine Castiel’ You kept walking to the library where the boys were. ‘Morning boys’ You sat by Sam and he cleared his throat looking at you. ‘Find anything?’ You asked and they both shook their head. Dean glanced at Cas as he sat beside you.
He immediately took his eyes from you and looked back at the book. ‘Well I guess I’ll just call Rowena? That okay with you Dean?’ He grunted and kept reading. ‘You should answer when she asks you a question’ Cas grunted from beside you. You turned and put your hand on his which was in his lap. ‘Cas, it’s fine, do you know where my phone is?’ Dean held it up across the table.
Cas dragged his eyes from you and looked at Dean. He leaned across the table and took it from Dean’s hand and sat back down giving it to you. ‘Thank you Cas, I’m going to go make a call. Will you help Sam and Dean?’ He pursed his lips, .’Or you could grab me a beer?’ You squeezed his hand. ‘I shall get that beer’ He stood and began walking from the library. You let out a breath and sat back in the chair. ‘Jesus’ You breathed looking through you phone for Rowena’s number. ‘He’s getting worse’ You groaned hitting dial.
It took a second for her to pick up but you smiled when she did. ‘Well, hello. What does my favourite hunter want?’ Her scottish accent rang through down the phone teasingly. ‘Castiel got hit with a smell and is acting weird. You need to fix it’ She tusked at the other end of the phone. ‘And what will this earn me?’ You groaned and closed your eyes. ‘I got you that herb for that stupid spell you needed didn’t I? You owe me’ You snapped leaned forwards putting your head on your arm. ‘I do not recall such an event Y/n’ For a second you paused and then the anger from the last few days came out.
You sat straight up and narrowed your eyes. ‘Alright, listen here you scottish wench’ You growled and Dean jumped back a little shocked. ‘You get your ass down here and help me or I swear to all that is real I will put a dagger through you the next time I see that worthless red head of yours’ Sam sat beside you looking a little wide eyed. ‘Well, I am busy today so it’ll have te be tomorrow’ You groaned. ‘Really? Tomorrow? Cas can come get you if you need’ She chuckled from the other side of the phone. You glanced up to see Castiel returning with a beer.
You smiled at him as he placed the open bottle in front of you. You reached out and took his hand in yours. ‘I am busy, if you get me deary’ You rolled your eyes. ‘Fine, tomorrow. I’ll send you on the details, you witch’ You sighed and rubbed your forehead. ‘Happy te help, my dear’ With that she hung up and you slammed the phone down. ‘Do you want me to smite whom has annoyed you?’ Castiel laid his hand on your thigh and you shook your head. ‘No, it’s fine’ You took a sip from your beer. ‘But thank you’ You leaned over and pressed a kiss to his cheek. ‘I don’t know what I would do without you’ A bright smile lit up his face and wrinkled his eyes and you couldn’t help but stare. He really was perfect.
Dean cleared his throat and tossed a book your way. ‘We don’t need to research, we have Rowena’ You tossed the book back at him. ‘I’m voting movie, or we can finish the season of Game of Thrones’ You beamed looking between the boys. Dean shook his head and Sam shrugged. You sighed and slumped back in your chair.
Dean yelped as his book slammed shut in front of him. ‘If Y/n says she wishes for us to watch a movie, we will watch a movie’ He growled at the boys and stood. ‘Cas, woah, if they don’t want to. It’s fine’ You grabbed his arm tugging him back down. ‘No, we are watching a movie. Or Game of Thrones’ He shook his head looking down at you.
Dean stood across from you. ‘I’ll get the beers’ He glanced at Cas as he left. ‘I’ll meet you in Sammy’s room’ Sam stood beside you. ‘I’ll get the disks’ He walked away as you watched him go. ‘Cas’ You sighed but stopped when you seen the proud look on his face. He raised his eyebrow at you in expectation. ‘You- eh- how about some popcorn?’ You asked and he smiled and nodded and zapped away.
You needed to stop voicing your thoughts. You came to that conclusion as Sam climbed onto the bed beside you. You were going to get someone smited if they disagreed. Sam smiled at you. ‘How you holding up?’ He asked turning on the television. ‘He got us kicked out of a diner today because a waiter commented on my ass’ You shook your head with a little smile. ‘Beers and popcorn’ Dean strolled into the room with Cas coming behind him with a large bowl filled to the brim with popcorn. Dean handed both you and Sam a beer before settling on the bed.
Cas stood at the end of the bed just staring at dean. ‘You okay buddy?’ Dean asked taking a swig. Both you and Sam shared a look. ‘I believe you are in my spot Dean’ Castiel told him in a calm and level tone. But you could see it behind his eyes. If Dean didn’t move, then he was in trouble. Dean cleared his throat and stood moving to the chair. ‘Sorry man’ Cas nodded and came to sit next to you. He handed you the bowl before moving so his shoulder was pressed against yours.
By the third episode you were on your third beer and had finished the popcorn. Castiel’s arm was around your shoulders as you laid your head on his chest and let your arm fall across his abs. Every now and then Dean would turn to you and wink while wiggling his eyebrows too. You would poke your tongue out at him or roll your eyes. By the fourth episode he finally spoke up. ‘So, Sammy should we leave these two alone’ He snickered. You narrowed your eyes at him. ‘Sam just put on the episode will you. Dean shut you’ You rolled your eyes snuggling further into Castiel’s chest. His arm tightened around you as he shifted further down the bed. He nuzzled into your hair for a second before the theme tune started to play and he looked back up.
Castiel sat by you as you shoveled dean’s burgers in your mouth. ‘Damn, I love your cooking Winchester’ You moaned around the food. ‘I am sure I could so an adequate burger’ Cas grumbled beside you. You dropped the large mess from your hands and patted his knee. ‘I’m sure you could Castiel, maybe you could make them for me tomorrow?’ You smiled. He nodded and nodded back to the food on your plate. ‘Eat, you need nourishment’ You rolled your eyes at him.
You had all sat watching a few movies after finishing GOT but Castiel had put a stop to it when your stomach had growled. He had demanded dinner straight away saying you couldn’t go hungry it was unacceptable. You reached out to grab your beer only to groan when you found it empty. ‘I will get you another’ Castiel stood and walked towards the fridge. ‘Thanks Cas’ You smiled after him beginning to eat again.
After dinner you went to the library to read. Cas had been seated on the arm of your chair until you had grown a little paranoid at the feeling of someone reading over your shoulder. You had suggested he move and Dena had suggested, with a loud laugh, that maybe Cas should sit on the seat and you should sit on his lap. It was the one and only time Castiel had listened to anyone else since he had gotten hit by that spell, much to Dean, and even Sam’s amusement.
When Cas had slipped you out of the seat and positioned himself in your place and opened his arms you couldn’t say no. He had looked up at you so expectantly. And you couldn’t say not to those big blue eyes. You wondered if it had been him or you who had been hit by this crazy spell sometimes. You had sat down on his lap sideways and thrown your legs over the arm of the chair he had just been sitting on. He wrapped his arms around you as you cuddled into his chest opening your book again.
You yawn closing your eyes nuzzling into Castiel’s chest. He had started playing with your hair about half an hour ago and it was hard for you to keep your eyes open. ‘Do you like it when I play with your hair?’ He whispered making sure Sam couldn’t hear. There was no fear of Dean hearing he was watching something on his laptop with his headphones in. ‘I’ve always liked when people play with my hair’ You muttered closing your book over a little as Castiel continued to twist his fingers through your locks. ‘I thought you’d left this morning when I woke up’ You sighed twisting his tie around your fingers. ‘I promised I would not leave. I am sorry, I did not think you would wake so soon’ You felt something heavy on you and opened you eyes. A large quilted blanket that you kept in your room was draped across your body.
You smiled Cas must have zapped it up out for you. ‘It’s okay Cas, thank you for the blanket’ You laid down your book on your lap and twisted so that you were curled into Cas’s chest. ‘You should go to bed Y/n’ You shook your head. ‘No, I’m awake, I just want to stay up for a few more minutes’ You hummed closing your eyes. Your fingers played with the buttons on his shirt letting out a content sigh.
You could get used to this, at times like this you were actually glad the witch had caught Cas with that spell. He had never been this relaxed around you let alone let you cuddle into him in his lap. You smiled as he tightened his arms around you. You could feel the muscles tense against you and you sighed again nuzzling the skin of his neck before curling back up into his chest. You could stay like this forever.
You woke to someone laying you on something soft. Groaning you opened your eyes. Cas stood above you as he straightened after laying you down in the bed. You reached out and grabbed his shirt sleeve. ‘Will you lie with me tonight again?’ You muttered sleep heavy on your voice. He smiled softly at you and nodded before pulling off his tie and shirt. You held out your hand making a grabby motion. He smiled wider and handed you his shirt. You pulled off your tank top and slipped on his shirt as he pulled off his shoes and pants. He climbed in beside you as you buttoned up the last button.
You unclipped your bra and tossed it across the room. Castiel slid down the bed lying on the pillow. You wiggled out of your jeans and pushed them out of the bed. You blinked hardly able to keep your eyes open. Cas reached around you pulling the blanket up over you both.
You laid your head on his shoulder. One of his hands intertwined with yours as they laid on his bare abdomen. His other arm wrapped around your back and he squeezed you tightly to him. He nuzzled your hair and leaned back. You sighed. After tomorrow you would never have Cas like this again. He would be back to the stiff awkward angel you knew and loved, even though you loved having him so close all the time, that was the angel you had fallen for. He wouldn’t be here with you in bed as you went to sleep and through the night. You wouldn’t have him wrapping his arms around you without him tensing. You wouldn’t have him place his hand on your knee or the small of your back to let you know he was there.
You wouldn’t have a Castiel that craved you and your touch. And while you were happy that the old Cas would be back and he would be able to think for himself again you were also sad that you wouldn’t have a Cas that was so involved in your life and was always willing to hug you and touch you and spend so much time with you.
You snuggled deeper into him enjoying the last moments with this comfortable Cas. ‘Goodnight Castiel’ You murmured your voice muffled by the warm skin if his chest. ‘Goodnight Y/n, Sleep well. I will be here when you wake. I will watch over you’ You smiled as his words letting sleep take you again.

Lifted -Castiel Imagine
Castiel x reader
Summary: You meet up with Rowena to get the spell reversed and Cas back to normal, only you’re not happy with the results.
The next morning you woke up and Castiel’s arms were still around you. You smiled a little and then felt a little guilty. ‘Hey Cas’ You muttered and heard him humm above you. ‘Me, you, and the boys are going out today, promise me you’ll behave yourself’ Castiel chuckled. ‘If you want me to be polite I shall but not if someone is inappropriate around you. Then I can not promise you my actions will be polite’ You rolled your eyes and sat up looking down at the angel beneath you. God he looked good like this.
You felt your heart swell, this was the last time you were ever going to see him like this. You stared at him for a moment trying to engrave this image to your memory. The way he laid with his arm behind his head. The muscles in his arm prominent. A soft smile on his face as he watched you. His dark hair sticking up and looked like someone had ran their hand through it again and again. The covers lay around his hips. Your eyes followed the muscled expanse that was his chest and torso. You were going to miss this. ‘How about breakfast?’ You smiled down at him and he sat up. ‘What would you like me to make you?’ You shrugged.
Throwing the covers off you and getting out of the bed you stretched. ‘Pancakes. Dean should be up by now, will you make them with him while I shower?’ You turned looking down at him. He nodded standing walking around to you. He placed his hand on your cheek and smiled. ‘You do not need to shower now. You are clean’ You rolled your eyes. ‘I would have only been 10 minutes’ You smiled amused but went to your drawers to pick out clothes anyway. ‘I did not like when you showered yesterday, I would rather not be without you again’ You heard him say.
You turned and looked at him. He just stood beside your bed in his underwear. In that moment you would have given anything to be able to kiss him. To have this as a thing where he wasn’t acting because of a spell. You sighed and motioned for Castiel to turn around. He did so and your eyes ran over his back.
Shaking yourself out of your trance and you began to dress yourself. When you were finished you laid your hand on Castiel’s back. You felt the muscle ripple underneath your hand and he turned making you drop it. ‘You should put on your clothes’ You held out his shirt. ‘But, you prefer me like this’ Your mouth fell open and your eyes widened. ‘And I want to make you happy’ You just stood frozen your mouth opening and closing like a fish as your grasped for the words you needed to reply. ‘How? What? Where did you hear that?’ You stuttered
Cas smiled. ‘I can feel it off you’ You gulped and looked down a blush on your cheeks. ‘Well, eh-I-no one else should see you like this-so-eh you should put them on’ You shoved the shirt into his chest not making eye contact with him. ‘Please’ He nodded and slipped it on. You tried to calm yourself as he got dressed.
All breakfast Castiel sat by you. He was closer than normal, his hand planted firmly on your knee. He kept asking you of you were alright. Apparently he could feel the anxiety rolling off you. You couldn’t exactly disagree, you were anxious. You were wondering if Rowena would know what was going on, or f she would betray you and cast some crazy spell. You also wanted the old Castiel back, you loved this affectionate side of him, yes but you were growing to miss the sarcastic angel he was before. Not this mindless puppy. You were terrified that after the spell was reversed he wouldn’t want to see you again. In fact it was definitely your greatest fear. This would all go away and Cas would be so awkward about it he would just avoid you.
You didn’t know if you could deal with that.
You all clambered into the Impala. You had just finished breakfast and were on your way to meet Rowena. Sam and Dean sat in the front as Dean started the car. The familiar hum of the Impala was something you hadn’t heard since Cas was under this spell and you only realised now. Cas reached over and put his hand on your thigh. You smiled softly at him and placed your hand over his.
Cas smiled back at you. ‘Why are you sad?’ He slid closer to you across the back seat. ‘I’m not sad Castiel’ You furrowed your eyebrows. You heard Dean chuckle from the front. ‘Cos she’s going to miss ye Cas’ You seen Dean smirk looking back at you. Sam nudged Dean giving him a glare. Cas’ eyes widened and he looked at you. ‘Why will you miss me? I am not leaving you Y/n’ He reached out and placed his hand on your cheek.
You smiled at him covering your emotions just taking in this moment. You leaned into his hand. ‘Dean’s being an ass, don’t mind him I’m happy. You’re here how could I not be?’ The horror faded from Castiel’s face and was replaced with a wide smile. He tugged you closer to him wrapping his arms around you. ‘That had to be the worst chick flick moment ever’ Dean groaned from the front. ‘I think I’m going to be sick’ You glared at him through the rear view window as Sam snapped at him. You wrapped your arms back around Cas leaning into him.
You got to the large warehouse that you were meeting Rowena at. ‘May I ask what we are doing here?’ Castiel held out his hand and you grabbed it. Cas helped you out of the car as Dean grabbed a gun and the iron cuffs from the boot. ‘No’ You shook your head. ‘No, cuffs’ Dean opened his mouth but you glared at him. ‘Is this a hunt? I will not permit Y/n to be on a hunt. She may get hurt, I will not allow her to be hurt’ Castiel pulled you behind him his hand gripping your arm. ‘It’s not a hunt, Dean’s being stupid’ You ran your hand over Cas’ back
Dean rolled his eyes. ‘Dean, put away the cuffs’ You snapped as Sam handed you a gun. Cas raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The cuffs disappeared from Dean’s hand and you smirked. ‘Just you wait’ He narrowed his eyes closing the trunk of the car and making his way towards the warehouse.
You opened the door looking around. The red haired witch stood looking out a window a long purple dress hugging her figure. ‘Rowena’ You called. She turned and looked at the four of you. ‘Hello Deary’ She greeted with a smile. You walked over to her and she opened her arms. You smiled and wrapped your arms around her. ‘What seems to be the problem?’ She asked when you pulled away. You nodded towards Cas.
She glanced at the Angel. ‘Ah, the pretty Angel’s been hit with some magic then’ You nodded. ‘Something old’ She stopped standing in front of him. ‘Pre-celt’ You told her and she nodded. ‘You knew?’ Dean’s mouth opened. ‘I had a week off when I was younger and studied witchcraft’ You shrugged. ‘How did you think I knew which books to give you, but I only studied the Latin, nothing older’ His eyes narrowed. Rowena reached out and Cas jerked away. ‘Cas, please?’ You walked over to him taking his hand. He looked at the witch hesitantly but nodded. She reached up and placed her hand on his cheek.
Sam and Dean shifted uncomfortably behind you both. Dean’s hand went to his gun as Rowena closed her eyes. Sam put his hand on Dean’s arm shaking his head nodding to you where your hand rested on your own ready to jump in if she did anything to the Angel. You may have brought her in and trusted her but you only did it out of necessity, you would never willingly let her meddle with your angel. ‘You killed the witch that cast it?’ She opened her eyes looking at you.
You nodded. ‘Do you know what it is?’ You asked and she nodded. ‘Some kind of puppy dog spell, makes him do your bidding, protect you, do whatever you need him to do’ She smirked looking at you. ‘I believe the spell was so heightened because of his previous affection for you’ You felt the blush creep up your neck and you scoffed. ‘I’m not lying. Usually they do not crave contact, or so much approval, none actually’ You turned your eyes away from her and looked at Cas to find him already looking at you
You turned your head down staring at your feet. ‘They will do what needs to be done to protect you without regard to your feeling’s or your approval’ She reached out and tilted your head up. ‘Can you fix it?’ You grunted trying to move on from her reading of the situation. ‘Fix what?’ Cas looked between you. ‘Is this what Dean was talking about in the car? Are you sending me away? Is that what she is here for’ He turned to Rowena and raised his hand.
You jumped between them wrapping your fingers around his wrist. ‘Cas, woah stop’ You soothed him. You put your other hand on his chest pushing him back a little. ‘You want me to leave?’ His anger fading and only a heartbroken look on his face. You shook your head. ‘No, no. The witch we hunted she did something to you, something your grace can’t heal. I just want you healed’ You smiled up at him. ‘There is nothing wrong, I can not feel anything wrong’ You bit your bottom lip. ‘That’s part of the spell, it’s stopping you from using your grace properly. Please Cas, just do this for me. Please’ Your hand ran up his chest and came to rest on his cheek.
Cas sighed closing his eyes. ‘I promise this isn’t because I want you to leave’ Cas leaned into your palm and nodded slightly. You looked over your shoulder at Rowena ‘I will need some ingredients’ She said turning and walked over to her bag pulling a pen and paper out. ‘Get me these’ She scribbled down a fe things and held the paper out to you. You turned to Cas with a smile and he nodded before disappearing. ‘Don’t say anything’ You growled. ‘Any of you’ You turned stalking over to the window
It took Cas less than half an hour to find what you needed. In the meantime Rowena had gotten everything else, which also included some of your blood. Cas popped back in with his arms full. He stood beside you as the witch added them to the bowl. ‘I need some of your blood’ Cas squinted his eyes at her but you gave him a small nudge and he held out his hand. He winced a little as she dragged the blade across his palm and his blood dripped into the bowl below his hand.
He stepped back as Rowena started chanting some words. ‘Cas’ You breathed out. He looked down at you. ‘Promise me you won’t run after this?’ Castiel reached out and took your hand. ‘I would never run from yo-’ Castiel doubled over grunting in pain. His hand slipped from yours and he clutched his head. The bowl erupted into flames.
He stumbled back a few steps. Sam and Dean started shouting. Dean pulled out his gun pointing it at Rowena. ‘Dean stop’ You snapped at him holding out your hand. Cas groaned and his legs gave out from underneath him. You dove forwards dropping to your knees. You slipped under him before he fell forwards. You wrapped your arms around him grunting under his weight.
Dean stood behind you looking between Cas and Rowena. She threw something small and purple into the flaming bowl. You felt a searing pain through your chest but you gritted your teeth focusing on holding Cas up. His hand clutched at you as he grunted and jerked in pain.
Then he stopped and just kept panting trying to catch his breath. Rowena stopped chanting. The pain left your chest. The whole warehouse was quiet apart from Castiel’s harsh breathing. ‘Cas?’ You breathed out. He took a few deep breaths before looking up at you from under his lashes. ‘Are you okay?’ You asked reaching out to him.
Castiel cleared his throat and pulled away from you. He stood looking around the warehouse. His eyes fell on Rowena, then they moved to the brothers. Sam had his hand on Dean’s shoulder who still had his gun pointed at Rowena
Castiel’s eyes landed on you last. You looked up at him from your knees as he stood a few feet from you. His eyes were wide. ‘Y/n’ He breathed and then cleared his throat. He straightened his back holding his shoulders. ‘I apologise for my behaviour these past few days’ You pushed yourself up onto your feet. ‘Cas, it wasn’t you it was the spell’ You seen Dean lowering his gun from the corner of your eye.
You reached your hand out to Cas but he took a step back from you. You felt a pain in your chest, no this couldn’t be happening. ‘I have been away from Heaven too long, I need to get back’ Your mouth fell open and you froze. ‘Cas, we should talk about this first’ Cas stealed himself his impassive look that you hadn’t seen on his face for days, and a coldness in his eyes you hadn’t seen in longer. ‘We do not have anything to speak about Y/n’ Cas’ deep voice grumbled. You felt your heart break in a million pieces, it was happening. ‘I apologise for being a bother, I should go’ You lurked forwards. ‘Cas’ You called out but with a flutter of wings he was gone.
You stopped in the spot Castiel had just stood. You closed your eyes. Damn it. Of course he would run off the second the spell wore off. Castiel wasn’t an affectionate person. The thought of the last few days probably made him so awkward he wouldn’t even look at you for a good year. The pain that thought caused was almost worse than the one that had ripped through you a few moments earlier.
You turned back to the others. ‘I think it worked’ You choked out. You cleared your throat and turned to Rowena. ‘Thank you’ She just stared at you for a long moment and you began to feel uncomfortable. ‘I’m beginning to think I shouldn’t have removed it’ With that she turned and picked up her bag. ‘I’ll see you later Deary’ With that she pressed a kiss to your forehead and strode towards the door.
Her heels on concrete was the only sound in the warehouse. Sam waited a whole minute after she had shut the door before speaking. ‘I’m sorry he just left like that’ He sent you a soft smile. You just shrugged. ‘Probably needed time to figure things out’ You looked down at your feet as you started to follow Rowena. ‘How about we catch that new movie you wanted to see?’ Dean threw his arm around your shoulder as you walked by. ‘Dean’ You groaned. ‘I’ll be fine, he’ll come round’ He just grunted and you seen him cast Sam a look
You did in fact go to watch the movie after. For a whole week none of you heard anything from the Angel. You tried to call him but it always went to voicemail. You had heard both Dean and Sam praying to him more than once but still nothing. It was 10 days until Dean got a call from Cas and another 18 on that until he actually showed his face.
Even then he refused to look you in the eye. His answers when you asked him a question were always short and curt and it hurt you more than you would like to admit.
Over the next week he had showed up 3 more times, each time as awkward as the first. You felt the hurt turning to anger. You knew he was awkward about it all but damn it he didn’t need to give you the cold shoulder. One time he had came in and you didn’t even notice. When you walked into the library he had made some excuse to leave in a hurry.
You had tried to talk to him on multiple occasions about it but he had told you he was busy and at this stage you were just about ready to give up. If Castiel didn’t want to talk to you then fine. You didn’t need him to, you had gotten along before perfectly fine without. You could get along perfect fine without him now.
And you would.
The one thing you had feared the most had happened.
Cas was gone.
I’m sorry it’s a little short....

Castiel x reader
Summary: Both Castiel and the reader deal with the consequences that the spell the witch cast on Castiel has had.
You swung your machete and the vamps head rolled from its shoulders. ‘Dean’ You sprinted forwards and dropped to your knees by the older hunter. He was tied to the pillar in the basement. ‘Dean’ You slapped his face as Sam took care of the last vamp. Dean’s head flopped to the side and he groaned slightly. You gasped slightly.
Blood covered the side of his neck. Some vamp must have taken a bite out of him before you got there ‘Shit’ You cursed and reached down pulling off your top, leaving you in nothing but a bra on top. Sam dropped down behind his brother and started to undo the ropes tying his hands. You pressed your balled up shirt to his neck. ‘This is really bleeding out Sam’ You panicked watching the red soak through the blue material.
Sam crept around to you. ‘Can you stop it?’ He asked and you shook your head your eyes wide. You took a deep breath. You would have to do something you really didn’t want to do. Something you had been avoiding for almost two months. ‘Cas’ You prayed. ‘Dean’s been hurt, real bad. We need you’ No sooner had you finished then the flap of wings were heard.
You felt his presence by your side and watched him out of the corner of your eye refusing to look him straight on. He raised his hand and put two fingers to Dean’s forehead. Dean gasped and his eyes shot open. His face went straight into fight mode but when he seen it was just you he relaxed. You took your top from his neck and ran your fingers over the skin on his neck breathing a sigh of relief escaping you as you seen it was as if it had never been hurt.
You seen Cas look at you as Dean sent you a smirk. Cas did a double take probably only noticing now what you were wearing, or more importantly, the lack of what you were wearing. He stood as you turned your focus back to Dean. You dropped your top to the ground. You had another back at the bunker, which was only an hours drive away, and it wasn’t like the boys hadn’t seen you without your top before. You had been on enough hunts that you had gotten hurt on at least one and they had to patch you up.
Sam put his hand on Dean’s shoulder. ‘You okay?’ Dean nodded. ‘Damn vamp decided to munch on me before you got here’ He grunted before sending you a wink. ‘But I’m much better now’ You rolled your eyes and slapped his shoulder standing up. ‘Shut up Winchester’ You chuckled at him. You felt something touch your arm. It was warm.
You turned to see Castiel’s hand nudging you. He held his trench coat in his hand offering it to you. His eyes still on Dean. ‘You have no shirt’ Castiel’s deep voice ran through you giving you shivers. You shook your head even though he wasn’t looking at you and helped Dean stand. ‘I have one back at the bunker’ You shrugged steadying Dean and patting his chest. ‘Please’ Cas nudged you again.
Dean straightened himself out with a smile. ‘Why don’t you just zap her back to the bunker now?’ Dean patted your shoulder and winked at Sam. Sam gave him the bitch face. For the last two months Dean had been nagging you to ‘just talk to him’ or ‘Why don’t I just lock you both in a room?’ Sam had been there to give him a punch when he had started nagging you. Sam was the one who sat and let you rant about how stupid you had been, he was there to wrap his arms around you when you needed one.
Dean walked by you and squeezed your bare shoulder. ‘Me and Sammy got this covered’ Dean picked up a head and started to walk out of the basement. Sam looked between you and Castiel. You sighed and looked at the Angel beside you. His bright blue eyes were focused on your, for the first time since he had left. ‘Please’ He breathed. You felt something being laid across your shoulders and hands squeezed your shoulders. You looked up to see Sam standing beside you. He smiled softly down at you.
You placed your hands over his and smiled back at him. He nodded at you and grabbed a body following his brother. You out your arms through the plaid shirt Sam had been wearing seconds before. Reaching down you buttoned it up and tucked it into your jeans so that the large button down wasn’t swamping you. ‘Do you love him?’ The question caught you by surprise.
You looked up from your hands to find Cas still watching you. His eyes looked over your form in Sam’s large shirt. His face had gone from pleading and was now hard and stoic, like his Godstiel phase. You gulped the look going straight through you. ‘Like a brother, yes’ This was the longest you had spent with him and you were finding your resolve crumbling. All those lies you had told yourself about not needing him were fading away. Cas was one of your closest friends, of course you needed him. The fact that you had fallen for him meant that you just wanted to throw your arms around him and never let go of him again.
Cas dropped his arm still holding his trench coat. The bottom of it dragging along the dusty floor. The tie landed in a small puddle of blood. ‘He’s always been there for me’ You shrugged and crossed your arms. ‘You’re coat is getting dirty’ You pointed out.
Cas didn’t respond just stayed watching you. You sighed and turned heading to grab a body. A hand wrapped around your arm tugging you to a stop. ‘You are not in love with him’ It was more of a statement than a question but you turned. You almost jumped at how close he was. ‘Then why would you take his clothing and not mine. I offered first’ You pulled your arm from his. ‘Like I said Sam’s been there for me. Last time I wore your clothes you ignored me for two month’ You snapped. ‘Wouldn’t want to make it a year or anything’ Cas’ mouth opened and closed. ‘Y/n’ your name slipped from his plump lips.
You shook your head grabbing a body. ‘I have a case to clean up after Castiel. Thank’s for saving Dean. You left him standing in the basement as you dragged the body up the stairs.
The next day you strolled into the library to get a book. Dean and Sam were sitting a table each with a beer. what made you sigh though was the trench coat clad angel that sat beside Dean and across from Sam. His head shot up when you walked up the steps. ‘Y/n’ He stood the chair scraping along the ground. You waved him off not making eye contact with him and making your way over to the shelves. ‘I’m just grabbing a book and then I’ll be back to my room’ You bent grabbing a book and turning.
You glanced one last time at Castiel to see him still standing and shifting nervously. You felt your heart go out to him. Your chest tightened, he still couldn’t even look at you. You felt a lump in your throat and you turned rushing from the library and down the halls towards your room.
Your arm shot out punching the bag in front of you. You had spent about 10 minutes trying to read before you had realised you didn’t even understand the words you were reading. ‘I thought I’d find you here’ You heard from the door. You looked over your shoulder to see Sam standing in the doorway smiling slightly. He wore a dark shirt and a black tracksuit. ‘Couldn’t concentrate’ You turned back to the bag and began punching it again.
After a few seconds a hand intercepted your hand turning you away from the bag. Your arm came up from your chest to stop Sam’s fist from hitting your face. ‘Cas is sorry’ You slid your arm down his and gripped his wrist pulling him forwards. You and Sam had spared a lot lately. It was a good way to relieve stress and Sam was only happy to do this. He lurched forwards and you swept out your leg. Sam seemed to anticipate this and brought you down with him.
He wasn’t quick enough and you rolled away from him. ‘Castiel can say sorry himself Sam’ You snapped as he looked up from the floor. Sam had a habit of trying to build bridges between people. ‘It’s why he’s here today’ He stood and took a swing at you. You grabbed and swung back moving to the side to bring your knee up. His hand wrapped around your thigh and he lifted. You brought your other one up and swung it around him. Your heal came down on the back of his knee.
He grunted and went down on his knee. You pushed forwards pushing him onto his back. He grunted as you gripped his arms pinning them above his head. ‘You could at least try put up a fight’ you rolled your eyes knowing he wasn’t trying, he was letting you off easy so that you wouldn’t be too preoccupied with fighting him because he wanted you to talk.
He gave you a bitch face and bucked underneath you trying to unsteady you but you just leaned closer. You grunted as his hips rutted against yours. His eyes widened. ‘So that’s your tactic?’ You raised an eyebrow and his face converged in a smirk. He yanked his arms upwards causing you to jerk forwards. He rolled and ended up on top of you.
He smirked looking down at you now with your hands pinned on to the floor. ‘Now are you ready to just listen to me?’ He sighed out and you rolled your eyes.
Both of your heads snapped to the left as you heard someone clear their throat. Dean and Cas stood in the doorway to the room just where Sam was a few minutes before. Dean had his hand on Cas’ shoulder as they both looked at you. Dean’s hand held a handful of Castiel’s trench coat.
Sam scrambled off you standing to his full height. You sat up and Cas looked away from both you and Sam. ‘I’ll,-eh-we’ll leave you two alone’ Sam strode towards the door and Dean shoved Cas into the room with you. ‘I thought you were going to talk to her, not jump her Sammy’ You heard Dean grumble as he slammed the door shut behind his brother.
You sighed and looked down at your hands. You heard footsteps coming closer but you refused to look at the Angel. A large land appeared in your view and you looked up following the beige arm to the bright blue eyes focused on you. You sighed a little before taking his hand and allowing him to pull you to your feet. ‘You told me you didn’t love him’ His voice was small, something you weren’t used to with Castiel.
You pulled your hand from him. ‘I said I loved him like my brother’ You walked over to the table taking your bottle of water from it. ‘From what I have seen from the world that is not how you treat your brother Y/n’ His voice was growing louder. And angrier. You closed your eyes trying to keep yourself calm. ‘We were fighting Cas, not that it’s any of your business’ You ended up growling out the last bit.
A hand wrapped around your bicep and you were whirled around, the bottle flew from your hand. You leaned away a little unsteady as you were pushed backwards the small of your back hitting the edge of the table and you had to lean back over it. One of your hands gripped the table your nails biting into the wood. The other that Cas had a hold of gripped the lapels of his coat stopping yourself from falling backwards completely.
Castiel pressed himself against you glaring down at you. The glare was completely lost on you at the feel of his body against yours, it was the first time in such a long time and it reminded you just how much you loved, and needed, him against you. ‘It is my business’ Cas’ voice was deep voice was threatening. ‘Why Castiel? Why do you think you have any right to my business anymore’ You tried to push him away from you but the celestial being was a lot stronger than you.
His gaze softened a little. ‘I did not come here to fight with you Y/n’ His voice was softer but had a stern tone behind it that made you gulp. You had to stop yourself from letting it go straight between your legs. ‘I came here to apologise’ You looked away from the intense blue of his eyes your eyes landing on the almost empty bottle and the pool of water around it. ‘You couldn’t even look at me’ You whispered feeling all fight drain from you.
A soft finger came to rest under your chin and tilted your head back up to him. His thumb ran across the skin beside your mouth. ‘I did not realise my distancing myself from you was hurting you as much as it did’ He paused as your eyes met his again. ‘Until Dean told me how much it was affecting you’ You sighed. ‘I’m going to kill him’ You snapped and Cas smiled a little.
You couldn’t help but smile back having missed the look of it on Castiel’s face. ‘It was not just him, it was seeing you with Sam. You choose him over me yesterday’ There was a hint of sadness in his voice and you just wanted to wrap your arms around him. ‘I understand why you choose him. I promised not to leave you, and I left’ You had heard that tone in his voice before, the regret. He used it whenever he screwed up.
You shot forwards and wrapped your arm around his shoulders hiding your face in his neck. No matter how angry you were at Cas or how much he screwed up you could never stand to see him like this. He tensed under your sudden action and you remembered he didn’t like being hugged. But before you could pull away his hand unwrapped from your arm and his arms wound around your waist. He buried his face in your neck relaxing in your arms. ‘I am sorry. I’m sorry Y/n’ His voice was muffled by your skin.
You felt tears gathering in your eyes as you wrapped your other arm around him holding him tightly to you. You relaxed in his arms enjoying the feel of them around you, and him being so relaxed about it. ‘Why? Why did it take you two months?’ You tangled your hands in his hair closing your eyes leaning into him. ‘The way I acted under that spell. I believed I needed to give you space’ He pulled away from you stepping away. ‘I acted inappropriately, very inappropriately’ Your hands dropped back to your sides as Castiel looked away from you and towards the door. ‘It was the spell’ You reached out for him but stopped half way dropping your hand back to your side.
You couldn’t touch him like you wanted to, that’s not how he was anymore. ‘I angered you when I was around you so much, you asked me to stop using my wings so you could have space’ You shook your head. ‘No, no, that was so I could talk to the boys about getting you back Cas, back to your normal self’ You rushed. ‘It wasn’t because I needed space. Cas, I understood that it was a spell, that you wouldn’t normally act like that’ He opened his mouth but sighed and closed it again. ‘Cas?’ This time when you reached out you let yourself take his hand.
Castiel looked up at looking at you through his lashes, and as if he was ashamed of something. ‘I enjoyed it’ He said it as if it he was saying he had done the most horrible thing in the world. ‘I enjoyed spending so much time with you, being that close to you, being allowed hold you and watch over you as you slept. I craved it’ You squeezed his hand. ‘It was the spell’ You muttered. Truth be told you were a little hurt, the way he said it as if he shouldn’t feel those things as if it was wrong to want you.
Of course it was, he was an Angel you were, well, you. ‘That is not what caused me to distance myself from you. If it had just been the spell, I would have apologised and there would be no harm done’ He paused again and you felt his hand squeeze yours. He looked down at them both but you kept your eyes on his face. ‘It was the spell that allowed me to act upon it. I craved you a long time before and I still crave you now’ You felt yourself tense.
Castiel wanted you. Even before the spell he wanted you, even now he wanted you. You reached out and touched your fingers to his cheek making him turn his head to look at you again. Your heart flipped as he looked at you. You loved those blue eyes. ‘I left because now that I knew what it felt like to act upon them. I wanted to act upon them again and I did not wish to anger you’ You furrowed your eyebrows. ‘You didn’t want to anger me?’ You breathed out stepping closer to him. ‘I angered you while I was under that spell’ You sighed.
Of course he didn’t understand. This was Castiel afterall, of course he didn’t get it. ‘No Cas, I enjoyed having you around. I liked having you there when I went to sleep, and when I woke up. I liked the way you wanted to spend time with me, I liked having you touching me, hugging me, it didn’t anger me Cas. The fact that it was all a spell angered me. The fact that you weren’t you angered me. The fact that it was every second of the day and you had no concept of what you were doing wrong, the real you does. Also the fact that you wanted to smite Dean for arguing with me’ You stepped closer so that you were right in front of him, your chest almost pressed against his.
Cas watched you with his lips parted. ‘You liked it?’ No matter how much you could tell he was trying to cover the surprise in his voice it was still there. ‘I’ve never felt more safe in my life than when you were looking after me. I’ve never felt happier’ A smile crept onto Castiel’s face as you spoke. He laid his hand on the side of your face and you made a show of leaning your face into his touch causing his smile to only get larger. ‘May I try something. Dean told me I should’ You rolled your eyes, knowing the older Winchester it could be something crazy, but you nodded anyway. You couldn’t say no to him when he was looking at you like that.
Before you could register him leaning in Castiel pressed his lips to yours. You sighed and leaned into him closing your eyes. His hand pulled you closer and you let go of his other one to grip his coat pressing him to you. Your other arm wrapped around his shoulders holding him close. You smiled into the kiss as he wrapped his arm around your waist crushing your body against his.
A moment later he pulled away. ‘Did-did you enjoy that?’ He asked nervous. You smiled widely at him. ‘Yes, did you?’ His fingers traced over your cheek. ‘Yes, very much, more than I thought I could’ His eyes flickered to your lips and back up to your eyes. ‘May I kiss you again?’ He asked quietly and you tangled your fingers in his short black hair. ‘Cas, you can do that whenever you want’ His hand reached around to the back of your neck and he pulled you in for another kiss.
And he did, Cas kissed you as often as he wanted, which was a lot. He hugged you a lot, sometimes he would pull you into his chest and not let you go, sometimes he would come up behind you and wrap his arms around you leaning his chin on your shoulder. He took you on a few dates even, they were unique, just like him. He would try and be there for you as much as he could when you were going to sleep, and every time he was he was always there when you woke up, apart from the few times he attempted breakfast in bed again. Whenever he seen you he would always touch you in some way, whether it was holding your hand, laying his on the small of your back, or on your thigh when you were sitting, or your favourite when you weren’t in public his hand would drift down to your ass.
The only thing he hadn’t done was ask you to be his girlfriend, you even heard Dean telling him that was the next ‘big step’ for you two. But honestly, you were happy the way you were.
You had Castiel and that’s all you needed.
