‘We’ve Met’ - Dean Winchester Imagines

Dean x Reader

Warning: Cursing, like one? Or two?

Summary: You show up at an Old Friend's house one day only to find someone you would rather avoid for the rest of your foreseeable life. But you do you feel like that when you leave?

You raised your hand as you looked at the door in front of you. You prayed someone was home. You took a deep breath in and wiped the cold sweat from your forehead. The sound of knuckles on wood could be heard echoing through the house. The sound of footsteps followed, then a gun being loaded. The door inched open behind the screen. The bearded face you hadn’t seen in three years appeared in the crack. The suspicious look in his eyes faded to surprise. A shy smile spread across your face.

The last time the two of you had talked it hadn’t ended well. You had been the pig headed hunter that you were raised to be and he had been a worried and had also been right. You had let your temper flare and had said some things you regretted instantly. But Family came first, always and no matter what. And he had crossed a line even if he had been right. You would rather die than let any harm come to your family, and that’s exactly what he had asked.

‘Hi Bobby’ You breathed out. He threw open the door and you seen him dropping a gun on the table. You stepped back as he swung open the screen. He took you into his arms pulling you into his chest. You sighed and wrapped your arms around him. ‘I’m sorry’ You buried your face in his shoulder breathing him in. Thank God Bobby wasn’t the type to hold anything against you.

He pulled back. ‘What are you doing here?’ He looked you up and down, probably searching for injuries. ‘Needed a break from hunting’ You shrugged and he gave you his famous  ‘I’m not buying that’ face. ‘Don’t you usually hit up Las Vegas or Disneyland for that?’ You sighed and let your shoulders sag. ‘I got a problem’ You breathed looking up at him through your lashes.

He instantly went into Dad mode and his forehead furrowed beneath the cap that always seemed permanently on his head. You closed your eyes and let your hand grip the bottom of your top and lifted it up to show him the cut on your side. It had been causing you distress since you had gotten it. ‘Some nasty Wendigo got me a few hunts ago’ You felt an arm around your waist and you slumped against the older man.

He held the door open for you. ‘You’re burning up’ He sighed. You shrugged again. ‘It’s infected...I don’t know how it ended up so bad’ You smiled up at him. The cut on your side was long and deep and you had actually passed out after killing the Wendigo. It had turned about a week ago, resulting in you having to dose yourself on antibiotics, but nothing worked.

You closed your eyes as the world spun when he guided you into the sitting room. ‘Well hello there’ A familiar deep voice echoed through your ears. You opened your eyes and seen the last person you wanted to deal with right now.

Dean Winchester.

Your eyes landed on the tall handsome man who sat at Bobby’s table in the kitchen. He had a bear in his hand as he smiled at you. ‘Dean’ His brother snapped from beside him. ‘Hello Y/N’ Sam stood and rushed to your side to help you to the couch. You had met Sam and Dean on a hunt not too long ago. You had set yourself up as bait for a monster and had ended up in chains in a basement alongside the other girls who had went missing. You had gotten out, beaten and bruised a day later and the two Winchester Brothers had showed up.

Dean had found it hard to believe that the small girl in a deep plunging black dress and five inch heels with her long nails and running make-up was a hunter and had made a few unwanted comments.

Sam, of course, had been a complete gentleman and apologised for his brother saying he was going through a rough time and had patched you up while Dean had cleaned up whatever mess the monster had made.

You did not get on with Dean Winchester.

‘You know each other?’ Bobby looked between the three of you. He had presumed if you ran into each other he would have known. He was convinced that you three would be inseparable. He had always thought of introducing you and Dean, you two would get on well. And he would never tell you but he always worried about you hunting on your own.

‘We’ve met’ You glared at Dean as the two men helped you onto the couch. Dean seemed to realise then that you were actually hurt. He stood from his seat and came over to your side. ‘You hurt?’ He asked watching you wince. ‘No’ You snapped sarcastically. Bobby rolled his eyes and gave you a soft punch in the shoulder. ‘You ain’t coming into my house after all these years and mouthing off girl, behave. I don’t care what happened between you two you both behave yourselves in my house’ Bobby scolded you both.

When your Father had died, your sister who had always followed his vision of the ‘perfect daughter’ had gone into a downward spiral. You Mom had called you four months later in tears telling you about her latest stunt. Dabbling in witchcraft.

When you showed up at the doorstep you had been surprised. And not pleasantly. Her husband and kids were staying with his parents because of some incident with a hex bag. She told you everything. How he had come to her on a hunt because he couldn’t contact you, you two were never close. She had tried to hex you a few times but you had calmed her. But had felt bad enough to help her try and contact him.

You had and it ended up being something that had helped her move on and get back to her own life, but it was also something that left you in hospital in a coma for 4 months. And apparently your sisters knew the risks and hadn’t exactly cared about the repercussions, in her mind it was your fault he was dead. You were a more experienced hunter, is it had been you instead of her there he wouldn’t have died. Bobby had warned you against it when you called. Told you that it was dangerous, he had been right. But you were a stubborn hunter who had never taken to an authority figure, especially males.

It was a mistake. You knew that. Bobby he had always treated you like a daughter. He was just worried about you. You were too pig headed to listen. When you and your father fell out it was Bobby who had taken on the role, and you’d thrown that back in his face. But here you were again, when things went wrong, it was Bobby you went to. Not your real Family. Which had always made you doubt where your loyalties lay.

‘Sam, get me the whiskey, she’ll need it’ He ordered. You grabbed his sleeve. ‘I’m on medication, I can’t drink’ Bobby just scoffed and nodded at Sam. ‘The strong one, in the back’ Both him and Sam disappeared. ‘Hunt gone wrong?’ Dean asked tentatively. You sighed and nodded leaning back in the chair thankful to get some down time, the last hunt had been bad. ‘You could say that, yeah a few weeks back’ You felt a hand on your head and you jumped your eyes shooting open. Dean was leaning over you his hand on your forehead. His eyebrows furrowed.

You jerked away from him. ‘You’re hot’ He stated. ‘Not what you were saying he last time we met’ You scoffed and waved him away. ‘Listen Y/N’ He sighed and looked out into the hall where Bobby had disappeared to. ‘I wasn’t in the best place last time I seen you. Things weren’t going too well’ You reached out and patted his shoulder. He looked back at you. His eyes met yours. You couldn’t deny that Dean Winchester wasn’t one hell of a good looking man. And he looked after Sam like it was the only thing that mattered to him. But he was a bit of an asshole ‘Honestly Dean, I have more pressing matters right now than you in a mood two years ago’ He let a small smile creep up onto his face.

You closed your eyes and leaned your head back on the couch. ‘But only because of Bobby. I’ve given that man too much grief over the years. And you two are his golden boys so’ You heard him scoff. ‘Glad to see you two haven’t killed each other when I was gone. Pull up that shirt Y/N’ You heard Bobby’s voice. ‘I think they made up, as far as I heard’ Sam chuckled. ‘You were listening?’ Dean snapped. ‘Alright, how about you two keep your spat to yourselves’ You felt Bobby sit beside you as the couch went down and then something cold was pressed to your hands and you wrapped your fingers around the bottle and the other pulled your shirt up off the wound. ‘Son of a Bitch’ You heard Dean breath. ‘We need to get you to a hospital’ You shook your head and opened your eyes swallowing the whiskey.

It burned the back of your throat but you welcomed that. ‘Can’t’ Your eyes landed on Bobby. ‘I’m on the FBI, CIA and Homeland Security’s watchlist. Life has been a nightmare for the past year’ Both Dean and Sam’s mouths dropped open but Bobby just rolled his eyes. ‘Looks like it’s time to fake your death’ Bobby opened the first aid box on his lap. ‘What did you do to deserve that?’ You looked at Sam and took a sip of the whiskey. ‘I exercised a few demons, ended up their meat suits were some VIPs and also dead’ You winced as Bobby started to cut the stitches. You drank another mouthful of whiskey and closed your eyes waiting for the pain.

Groaning you woke. There was something cool on your forehead and your feet were bare meaning someone had taken off your boots. You tried to sit up but there was a hand on your shoulder. ‘Easy’ A deep unwavering voice echoed through the pounding in your head. ‘Bobby put in new stitches, we’re trying to get in touch with Cas to fix you up’ Slowly you opened your eyes. Dean was crouched by the couch. His eyes fixed on you.

You reached up and took the damp clothe from your head. ‘Where is he?’ You looked around. Usually when you woke up Bobby was always there, he always watched over you when you were passed out. ‘Went to the shop, said something about beer and pizza’ You smiled. ‘I hope he brings back the meat feast’ Dean gave a small chuckle. ‘Beer?’ He held up a bottle of beer. ‘It’s the last one, apart from that one’ He nodded to the half drank beer on the desk behind him.

You dropped the cloth to the ground and began to push yourself up. Dean snuck his arm around you when he seen you wince. You had stayed awake longer than he had expected as Bobby had dug around in your side. When you had finally passed out he had been a little relieved. The pain on your face was getting to him, he had been holding himself back from stopping Bobby from his work. ‘Who’s Cas?’ You asked as he sat you up. ‘He’s a friend of ours, an Angel’ You took the beer from him and took a sip. He sat down beside you on the couch.

Silence fell over you for a minute before he spoke again. ‘Bobby told me about your Dad’ You looked at him from the corner of your eye. ‘The face that he’s dead? You don’t last long in this business’ You shrugged. ‘Where’s Sam?’ Dean shrugged. ‘Outside, the Impala needed work. I thought I’d let him take this one’ You nodded. ‘And no, not the fact that he’s dead’ You took another sip of the beer. ‘That he was a sexist crazy man. Yeah, he wasn’t exactly too happy with me being a hunter. In his eyes the women of the family should know everything but stay home and raise kids and wait for their hunter husbands to come home. I didn’t fall into that and he didn’t like it so we fell out’ He reached over and grabbed his own beer. ‘That’s why you reacted so badly to what I said, Bobby didn’t appreciate what I said, gave me a good talking to’ You let out a loud laugh at that.

Of course Bobby had chewed Dean out of it. He was very protective of you. It came from him knowing you almost all your life. ‘Well look who finally decided to rise and shine’ Bobby came into the room cutting your laughter short. ‘Please tell me you got Meat Feast’ You looked at him with hopeful eyes. He chuckled. ‘Always the same, the world could be ending and you would only be thinking about food’ You smirked and winced as you moved. ‘It was and I spent two weeks in a buffet because they served the best spare ribs I’d ever tasted’ You took another sip of your drink.

Dean let out a chuckle. ‘So we were fighting Lucifer while you were sitting in a diner eating spare ribs’ You shrugged. ‘And cheeseburgers, they did a mean cheeseburger’ Dean looked at you from the corner of his eye and nodded. ‘I like you, you’re my type of girl’ He leaned back on and his arm settled behind you on the couch as Bobby put the food away in the kitchen. He sent you a wink and put his right ankle on his left knee and took a swig of his beer.

You weren’t sure when you had began to forgive the elder Winchester for the rude things he had said to you all those years ago but it was in that moment that as you smiled at him and drank your own beer you decided you had. It might have been the look of panic he had in his eyes when he had realised that you were hurt. Or the way he had let you clutch him as Bobby had tried to clean out your side. Or the look of worry in his eyes when you woke and tried to sit up. Or maybe how he had given you the last beer. Or the way he had sat with you for the next two days when they had tried to contact this Castiel friend of theirs.

Castiel turned out to be an awkward Angel in a trenchcoat that you instantly took a liking to. He was  adorable and didn’t exactly grasp the concept of everything you said. Instantly making you want to just lock him away in a room and never let anyone even talk to him, he was precious. After that you had stayed another two weeks at Bobby’s just wanting to rest. Sam and Dean had stayed another week even though the Impala was fixed. They had both given you their numbers and insisted that if anything ever got out of hand you would promise to call them. Dean had even offered to help you fake your own death, and also made you promise that you would check in often just so they would know you were still kicking ass.

And that was how Dean Winchester had completely changed your opinion of him, from egotistic asshole to one of the coolest people you will ever know. Him and the other two boys, Sam and Cas, had become some of your best friends. You often called them for help and they often called you. Sometimes you would even pray to Cas just to pop in and let you know they were alright, or just to know he was alright. You had a soft spot for them all.

Especially Dean.

Hello There Stranger - Dean Winchester Imagine

(Part 2 of We’ve Met)

Dean x Reader

Summary: After a particularly long and stressful hunt the boys show you their newly acquired Bunker. Where you get lost in their impressive Library.

You threw back your head as you groaned. The book in front of you held no clue where to find the rare pine branch. Your eyes fell on the stain on the ceiling of the shabby motel you had been staying at. How that gotten there you didn’t want to know. You had been here almost a week and were no closer to killing this Old God that was lurking around the town.

Finally you gave up. ‘Hey Cas, it’s eh, me. I kind of need a favour. A real big favour, hit me up when you can please’ You waited for the flutter of wings but it didn’t come. You sighed and stood pushing the chair you were sitting at back. You pulled off your boots and flopped onto the bed closing your eyes you sank into the bed.

You almost felt someone watching you. Your hand wrapped around the gun under your pillow and you turned aiming it towards the room. Your eyes landed on the intruder.

‘Jesus Cas’ You snapped. ‘Don’t do that’ He looked confused for a second. ‘But you called’ You put down your gun and looked at the trenchcoat wearing Angel you hadn’t seen in over two months. You threw your legs over the edge of the bed. ‘It’s about time you showed up’ You smiled fondly. For the last two months you had been praying to him only to get a phone call every now and then. ‘I answered your call, you needed a favour’ You stood and nodded but just threw your arms around your friend.

You felt him stiffen under your touch for a second but then he wrapped his arms around you lightly patting your back, although a little awkwardly. ‘I arrived last night and seen what you were researching’ You pulled away from him your eyes landing on the table full of books. ‘And I got you this, I believe that was the favour you wanted of me’ Castiel produced a short stubby branch from beneath his coat. Your eyes landed on it. ‘Cas, you are a saint’ You took it from him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. He was silent as you placed it in the sink grabbing the blessed oil from your bag. ‘I am an Angel Y/N, not a saint’ You stopped pouring the oil over the branch and looked at him.

A small laugh tumbled from your lips at his furrowed eyebrows. ‘It’s just a saying Cas’ You explained to the lovably clueless and adorable Angel. ‘It means you are a good person and I am very thankful to have you in my life and for what you do’ You emptied the oil onto it and then picked it up. ‘Now, stay here. I’ll be back. We have a lot to catch up on’ You pulled on your boots and placed another kiss on his cheek again. ‘I have a God to kill’ You turned grabbing your keys and leaving the motel.

When you got back Cas was still there. ‘I took the liberty of packing for you. Sam and Dean have been missing you. They have been trying to contact you’ Your head snapped up. ‘Are they okay?’ Your mind went into overdrive and panic bloomed in your chest. ‘They are healthy, they wish to show you something’ Castiel grabbed your bags and held them out. You smiled and took them from him letting him zap you wherever he wanted. You had grown used to it and trusted him to not land you in the middle of the ocean.

Shaking your head you realised you had landed outside some massive building in the middle of nowhere. There was some kind of bunker door in the ground. ‘They should be here soon’ Cas leaned back against a beige car. You dropped your bags and leaned back against the car as well.

About 5 minutes later you heard the hum of the Impala’s engine coming down the road. A large smile spread across your face when it rounded the corner and came to a stop. ‘Sam, Dean’ You shouted as the two Winchesters climbed out of the car. You pushed yourself off the car and began to run towards them. ‘Well look who it is’ Dean beamed. He was wearing his FBI suit, something you always thought he looked incredibly hot in. You always loved the hunts you had helped them with when you got to see him dress up in that suit.

He bent his knees a little as you reached him. He opened his arms and you threw yours around his shoulders. He straightened and lifted you off the ground as he folded his arms around your waist and buried his head in your shoulder. ‘Hello there Stranger’ You muttered into his neck, the stubble on his cheek rubbing against the skin of your neck.

He placed you back on the ground and you turned to the taller Winchester. ‘I think you’re hair has gotten longer Sammy’ You smirked when you seen him roll his eyes. You were sure if he wasn’t smiling so widely he would have given you his classic bitchface.  You rounded the car as he dipped down. He swept you up into his arms and you wrapped both your arms and legs around him as he spun you in circles. You giggled when he refused to put you down and started walking back towards Cas. ‘Sam’ You complained giving his hair a soft tug as he chuckled. Your eyes landed on the elder hunter behind you who was watching you and Sam with a soft smile on his face.

The boys opened the door to the bunker. ‘So let me get this right, you inherited this from the man of letters because you're legacy’s?’ Dean nodded as he pulled the door shut behind you. The lights turned on and you were met with a large room. ‘Woah’ You breathed. ‘Awesome right?’ Dean smirked at you. ‘Doesn’t hold a candle to seeing you in a suit’ You threw a wink at him before following Sam down the stairs into what he called the map room.

Two days later and you were sitting in the library in the bunker with Sam across from you. You both had gone for a run earlier that morning. You had convinced the boys they needed a week off after everything that had happened. Dean especially had been a little reluctant but had finally agreed on the condition that you stay for the week with them.  Both you and Sam were buried in a book each. It had more lore in this place than you had ever seen. ‘Hey, look at this’ Sam stood and walked around to the back of you leaning over the chair to look at the records you were looking at.

The two of you were so caught up in what you were looking at neither of you noticed Dean walking in. His eyes landed on the both of you. He never got how you and Sam could get so excited over a few books. He got how you had gotten excited over the dungeon, he got the very sexual comment you had made when he had shown it to you. He got your excitement over just having a place to stay, to call home. Like them you had lived life on the road since you were old enough. Never feeling comfortable with your family meant you spent as much time away from them as you could.

But he never understood your love of books, even books that weren’t lore.

He cleared his throat as Sam leaned closer to you. As much as he liked seeing Sam happy and comfortable around other people. He always loved seeing the two of you together. You made each other happy. He hated it at the same time. He knew neither of you seen each other the way he seen you. and even so he didn’t enjoy watching the two of you like this.

Both you and Sam looked up at him. A smile grew across your face when you seen him in the slippers and dressing gown. ‘Nice outfit Winchester’ You smirked. He grunted and sat down at the table beside you with a cup of coffee. ‘So’ You dragged out the word as Sam took the file from you going back to his seat.

Sam knew now that Dean was in the room you would be distracted for at least an hour if not more. It always happened when Dean was around you, it was the same with Dean. The minute you walked in he wasn’t fully there. He had talked to Dean about it but him being typical Dean had threatened to punch him if he brought it up again. Sam watched as you turned in your seat your complete focus on his older brother and the sparkle in your eyes that was only there when you were looking at Dean.

You smiled as Dean took a sip of his coffee raising his eyebrow at you. ‘I was thinking, we all watch a movie today. Okay a whole Lord of the Rings Marathon, popcorn and everything. Myself and Sam went shopping earlier and bought snacks’ You started to get excited and Dean sighed. He put back down his cup and looked at Sam. ‘What?’ You inquired as you felt the excitement drain from you. ‘I thought you were trying to get through the entire library before you left’ You heard a little bit of an edge in his voice.

You felt your shoulders sag a little. ‘What you mean?’ You started to get a little defensive. ‘I thought it was a good idea’ Sam jumped in but neither you or Dean gave him any mind. ‘You getting sick of me being here Winchester, it’s only been two days’ You snapped.

Dean suddenly realised he had hit a small nerve and tried to backtrace. ‘Well’ He looked at Sam for help but he just looked away from his brother not getting involved. He had seen you blow up before, granted it had been when Dean had went off on Cas but he didn’t want to get involved. ‘You just seem to spend your entire time in the library’ Dean looked back at you. You crossed your arms. ‘Oh, I’m sorry. Did my being interested in this amazing collection of lore and facts offend you Dean?’ He sighed and stood. ‘Ye know what, yes it has. You’ve been here for two days and I’ve barely seen you anywhere but in this library with Sam’ You paused thinking over his words before standing yourself.

This was why you and Dean shouldn’t be left together for so long. Yes, you got along very well. He was one of the best friends you had ever had and you loved him to bits and would do anything for the man in front of you. But he did irritate you to no length. He never spoke about his feelings, everything was always Fine. He was always fine. Whenever either of you started talking about anything emotional he always shut down and sometimes it made you feel like not only did you not know him at all but he didn’t see you as close a friend as you seen him. Sam had assured you it was just the way his brother was but you couldn’t help it getting to you a little.

You tried to look him right in the eyes as you stood. ‘Where did this come from?’ You snapped. ‘And why didn’t you tell me before if it got to you?’ Dean just scoffed and grabbed his coffee and turning leaving the library. Leaving you standing there almost blowing a gasket. You looked at Sam when Dean disappeared. He just shrugged. ‘Have I been here a lot?’ You asked. Sam held up his hands in mock surrender. ‘I am not getting involved with another one of your petty fights Y/N. I learned that the hard way’ You sighed and dropped back down onto your seat. ‘It was a stupid fight right?’ He nodded. ‘Which means something is eating at you both’  You sent a glare at Sam.

Every time you had met up with the boys Sam had brought this up. You and Dean had some pent up sexual tension between the two of you that caused you to fight a lot and if you just got over it and got down to business there would be no more tension and no more fights. ‘Well we all have something we’re working through’ You glanced towards where Dean had gone and sighed. ‘I’m going to go see what’s eating him’ You told Sam and stood walking out. You heard him chuckle from behind you. No matter what you and Dean went through you always went running back to each other sooner or later.

You found Dean in the kitchen cooking some bacon. ‘So’ You leaned against the door watching him work. Even through the material of the robe you could see the muscles in his back and shoulder moving. ‘Is it the fact that I’m spending so much time in the Library that’s getting to you or that I’m spending more time with Sam than you?’ Dean threw a glance over his shoulder and just grunted before looking back at his bacon. ‘Dean’ You breathed and watched him tense. You sighed and began to walk into the kitchen.

You wrapped your arms around his torso taking handfuls of his top and buried your face in his back. ‘I’m sorry I’ve been spending so much time with Sam and the library’ Your voice was muffled in his back. You felt the vibrations of his grunt he gave to that statement. ‘I didn’t mean to make you jealous’ You teased. Dean stopped cooking.

He turned in your arms and looked down at you with a slight glare. ‘Not jealous Y/n’ You hummed and buried your face in his chest. ‘I’m sorry’ You muttered and felt him relax. ‘A movie night sounds good’ Dean laid his chin on your head and wrapped his arms around your shoulders holding him to him. ‘Want some bacon?’ You nodded into his chest.

You pulled away a little and leaned up giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. the feel of his stubble against your lips made you smile a little. You loved Dean when he wasn’t so clean shaven. Smiling you turned away from him going for the coffee.

You only made it halfway across the kitchen when Dean wrapped his arms around you pulling you back into his chest. He leaned over you rubbing his chin against your neck. You squealed as the stubble rubbed against your soft skin prickling you. You pushed at his arms trying to get away from him from you. But he wouldn’t let go and just kept rubbing his facial hair against you. You bent trying to get away from him but he just followed you. His cheek rubbed against yours and you reached around hitting his side. ‘Dean Stop’ You giggled.

Your hand reached up and tried to push his head away as he laughed at you. ‘I swear, I will hit you’ You snapped but ended up laughing at the end as he tightened his arms around you when you began to wiggle against him.

Sam heard the commotion from the Library and couldn’t help the smile that graced his lips. He always knew you could get around his brother. Where Dean would spend hours if not days in a mood with Sam after a fight he could never seem to stay mad at you. You were the one thing that never failed to make Dean smile.

You dug your elbow into Dean’s ribs as he tried to grab your hands to stop you from trying to hit him away. He grunted behind you and he let go. You stood up straighter with a laugh and backed away from him. He looked up at you with a look you had never seen in his eyes before and you thought that maybe you had actually hurt him.

Until he pounced.

Dean took two steps and instantly wrapped his arms around you. You let out something between a squeal and a gasp as he pulled you to him. You were expecting him to pick you up and swing you around or begin rubbing his beard against you. But Dean had other ideas.

He wrapped one arm around your waist and yanked you straight into him. If you didn’t know Dean your hunter instincts would have kicked in and you would have lashed out. But at this stage you were so comfortable with the man you let him. His other hand gripped the back of your neck and he pulled your face closer to his.

Before you knew it Dean’s lips were placed firmly on your own. For a moment you froze but then remembered who it was and your eyes fluttered closed. You hand gripped the edge of his robe pulling him closer as you melted into the kiss. You leaned against the hard muscled hunter in front of you as he completely gather you into him.

The moment was short lived as Dean pulled away wide eyed. He let go of you and almost stumbled away from you. ‘Don’t you dare’ You growled at him. You knew what was going through his head. You had been with him long enough, seen him react to too much in this life to not know what was going on in that thick skull of his. Dean Winchester never let himself get too close to people, not really. He was poison, everyone around him died. All that crap. But you’d been in this life, seen people in this life to know it wasn’t Dean that was the problem. It was everything out there. It was this life. Not him.

You reached out and grabbed a handful of his shirt and yanked him back towards you. He resisted a bit at first but then dipped his head and captured your lips again. You hands ran up his well defined chest and you dropped them over those broad shoulders. His arms went around you and his hands landed on your ass. You bent your legs a little and jumped wrapped your legs around his hips. He instantly started moving and then your back hit the wall. His hand ran down your thigh gripping and squeezing. You tangled your fingers in his hair and tugged. His tongue darted out and traced along your lips. You opened your mouth and moaned as he deepened the kiss.

Your back left the wall and he walked you away from the wall. He put you down  on the worktop and you tightened your legs around him pulling him closer. His hand slipped under the old flannel you had on as his lips let yours. You let out a shaky sigh as his stubble scraped against your skin again but this time it was followed by his lips. His fingers twisted in the bottom of your hair and tugged making you tip your head back giving him better access to your neck.

Your moment together was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. Dean almost jumped away from you taking his hands from you as he looked towards the door. Sam stood smirking in the doorway arms crossed. A triumphant smirk spread across Dean’s face as he stepped back tightening his arm around your waist. ‘I don’t care what you two do in your spare time but right now we are having a Movie Marathon’ Sam let his eyes switch between the two of you before he turned to leave. ‘And, take it somewhere else. I make my food on that’ He laughed as he walked back down the hall. ‘My room ten minutes, bring the popcorn’ Sam shouted.

Your eyes left the door and landed back on Dean. ‘Yeah, and you said you weren’t jealous’ You chuckled as Dean leaned back down and pressed his lips to yours. You were happy to kiss him back until the smell of burning hit your nose. You pushed Dean away. ‘Shoot, the food’ You jumped down from the worktop as Dean shot around to the stove grumbling about his bacon. You walked to the cupboard grabbing the popcorn from it as Dean tried, and failed, to salvage his bacon.

You grabbed the large bowl as Dean grabbed the beer. He dropped his arm over your shoulders, something he always did but you seemed to take in differently now. He tugged you closer as you made your way towards Sam’s room. ‘You’ll love them Dean, Lord of the Rings is something you’ll enjoy’ You elbowed him as he began to grumble again. ‘Only because you and Sammy like it so well’ You leaned up and placed a kiss on the underside of your jaw. ‘I promise you’ll like it’ You smiled at him.

Dean turned his head and pressed his lips against yours quickly before you both joined Sam in his room.

Witches Spell -Castiel Imagine

Cas x reader

Summary: A witch casts a spell on Castiel which causes him to act weird and very protective and needy. Which is all directed towards the reader.

Your hand patted the ground under the presst. Your eyes watched as the witch flicked her wrist tossing Sam across the room towards where Dean was pinned to the wall. He shouted for Sam as he hit a bookshelf and fell to the ground. The books coming from the shelves following him to the ground. Your fingers wrapped around the old dagger you had found in the Bunker store room which would kill her. You pushed yourself up.

Cas jumped at her but she was quicker and held up her hand. Cas’s eyes widened as he came to a stop not being able to move. ‘You’re a looker aren’t you, and an Angel’ The blond haired bitch smirked. ‘I could use that’ You ran at her jumping over the couch. She turned and flicked her wrist. You went flying back, your legs hit the couch and you flipped hitting the wall and falling on your shoulders. You still held the dagger in your hand as you struggled trying to get up. You heard her recanting something in, well it wasn’t Latin like the usual witches, you knew Latin. Damn Witches, you’d take ANYTHING over them.

You grabbed the back of the couch as Cas doubled over and fell onto the couch holding onto his head groaning. ‘Cas’ Dean shouted from the other side of the room and she looked at him. You let out a groan as you pulled yourself to your feet. She turned to you and you brought your hand back and tossed the dagger. It landed in her chest and her eyes widened. You flung yourself towards her and grabbing it pulled it out of her. It was coated in blood. She fell hitting the ground.

There was a crash as Dean fell from his spot. ‘Check on Sam’ You told him gesturing to the giant man who hadn’t moved yet as you dropped the knife stepping over her and landing on your knees in front of the grimacing Angel. ‘Cas’ You breathed placing your hand on his cheek pulling his head up. He groaned and opened his eyes. He froze as the simmering blue made contact with your own. His lips parting a little and a soft breath left them.

You furrowed your eyebrows at his strange behaviour. ‘Cas? Is that you?’ You asked panic rising in you chest. If that stupid witch had done something to Castiel you would sell your soul just to bring her back for the next ten years just to kill her over again. But you let out a breath as he nodded slightly. ‘Are you okay?’ He nodded again before leaning into your hand closing his eyes a peaceful expression on his face. You watched him for a second before standing. Castiel’s hand gripped yours keeping it pressed to his cheek. His other hand came up and traced along the back of your thigh. You took a deep breath in, you’d always wanted to feel Castiel’s hands on you like that, spent long nights imagining it, away or asleep. But now wasn’t the time to get wrapped up in that. ‘Dean, is Sam okay?’ Dean looked up from his position by Sam and nodded. ‘Cas?’ You nodded at him. Sam must have been unconscious because he hadn’t moved as Dean cleared the books off him. ‘Get him to the car, I’ll get rid of her’ He nodded.

You almost fell back as Cas stood before you. ‘No’ His arm wrapped around your waist holding you against him. Something that was weird for him, he usually avoided contact only giving you the occasional hug or when you were hurt from a hunt. And even then he was uncomfortable and tense. This time he leaned into you. Almost curving his large body around you. You grabbed his trench coat to steady yourself. ‘I will discard of the body, you must relax, you have just killed someone’ He let go of you and you blinked and looked at Dean. He furrowed his eyebrows as Cas moved around you. ‘I was going to say you could give Dean a hand with Sam’ You turned. He had the dead witch in his arms and looked up at you. He nodded. ‘I will do that too’ The flutter of wings was heard before he disappeared.

You glanced back at Dean and began walking around to him. ‘Was it just me or was that weird, even for Cas?’ Dean just shrugged. ‘Give me a hand with him’ You crouched down and grabbed one of Sam’s arm heaving him up. ‘Jesus, for someone who eats nothing but salad he weighs a bloody tonne’ You groaned under the weight of the six foot man. You grunted as you and Dean tried to carry Sam out of the flat. ‘How do we get him down the stairs?’ You moaned and then gasped as Castiel appeared in front of you.

His eyes landed on you and widened. ‘No, no, no’ He rushed forwards and took Sam’s arm from you. Dean grunted as Castiel pulled you towards him and and moved you away from the brothers. ‘You landed on your shoulder, you can not carry Sam’ He stood straight. ‘I will’ He grabbed Sam’s arm and took your place. You and Dean shared a ‘what the hell’ glace before you felt a hand on your shoulder and you were back at the car.

You wobbled a little, usually Cas did that when you could lean on him and landing on your own left you a little unsteady. Suddenly there was arms around you and you were pulled into a hard chest, Cas. You wrapped your hands around his arms. ‘Son of a-’ You heard Dean grunt as himself and Sam’s unconscious body fell against the car. ‘I apologise, I did not mean to disorientate you’ Castiel looked down at you completely ignoring Dean who was giving him a bitch face that could rival his brothers. His eyes searching your face. He began to rub small soothing circles on your back. ‘Eh, it’s okay?’ You didn’t know what to say, the whole situation was confusing you. He stepped back making sure you were steady before looking at Dean, his face stoic. ‘Let’s get back shall we?’ You asked looking between the three boys.

Cas nodded and reached around you to open the car door. Dean leaned down and dumped Sam in the back as you and Cas helped push him in. ‘How did he ever sleep in that car?’ You looked at the tall man lying awkwardly in the back. Dean shrugged. ‘Looks like you’ll have to sit up front with me, Cas you can just zap back right?’ Cas’s eyebrows shot up and he actually looked a little appalled. ‘And leave Y/N? No’ He shook his head. Castiel’s hand fisted the back of you t shirt and he tugged him a little closer to him. ‘I will stay with her here or she will come back with me’ Again you and Dean shared a look. Okay, something was wrong. You laid your hand on Castiel’s arm. ‘Cas, I’ll see you back at the Bunker okay? I should be here to keep an eye on Sam when Dean’s driving’. Sadness filled the Angels eyes and his face dropped. ‘You-you want me to leave?’ His voice almost cracked and you blinked surprised.

He looked like a kicked puppy. His eyes widened and he dropped his hand from your back. ‘I’m sorry, I did not mean to upset you Y/N’ He rushed stepping towards you. ‘What did I do? I will never do it again, I apologise completely for it, do not send me away’ His hands wrapped around your arms as he left only inches between your bodies. ‘I did not mean it, please’ You felt surprise fill you and heard Dean grumbling something about Witches and this all being too damn weird and he was out. Your mouth opened and closed like some kind of fish. You had no idea what was going on and why he was acting so strange. You were with Dean though, it was that damn witch. ‘Cas’ You sighed keeping eye contact.

Man, those eyes would be the death of you one day. You knew they weren’t Castiel’s, they were Jimmy’s, but they suited him so well. They were innocent and beautiful, yet could be so hard at times, just like the Angel behind them. ‘I’m not sending you away, you’ll be waiting for us when we get back’ You were only an hour and a half’s drive from the Bunker anyways. ‘We will be there soon’ He shook his head. His fingers tightened around your arms. ‘That means being away from you’ You opened your mouth to say something but got lost in his eyes. You had never seen him so sad. His eyes pleading with you not to make him leave. ‘Then don’t go Cas, and you didn’t upset me. I’m fine’ The sadness disappeared from his face and a small smile graced those full lips. ‘I shall ride back with you then’ He let go of your arms and opened the car door for you. He laid his hand on your lower back as he guided you towards the open door.

You smiled at him and climbed into the car shrugging at Dean. He rolled his eyes and just muttered something you didn’t quite catch under his breath. Castiel slipped in beside you closing the door and looked between you and Dean. His eyes narrowed towards the older Winchester. ‘I do not like this arrangement’ He grumbled and then wrapped his arms around you. You gasped as he lifted you up moving you across his body and switching your places. ‘Better’ He threw a glare at Dean again before turning his back to him and turning to you. One of his arms still wrapped around your back pulling you to him. You gulped as he tightened his grip pulling you away from the door and pressing your body against his. ‘Are you in pain?’ He asked as Dean blinked and shook his head before starting the Impala and pulling away from the curb.

You furrowed your eyebrows a little at Castiel’s possessive behaviour, he certainly had never done that before. ‘My shoulder is a little sore, but that’s only from the fall. Cas are you okay?’ He ignored your question and reached his hand up and pressed it to the side of your neck. The pain from your shoulder seeping away as he healed you. ‘Cas’ You wrapped your hand around his wrist. ‘What’s wrong?’ You breathed. Castiel just smiled at you as he shifted so that you were leaning on him. ‘Hey any chance of you using some of that Angel mojo to heal my brother?’ Dean grunted from beside Castiel.

 Again he was ignored.

Okay it was not like Castiel to ignore Dean, no matter what was going on. ‘I am fine, I am excellent Y/N’ Cas answered his eyes on your hand wrapped around his wrist. ‘Cas will you heal Sam?’ You breathed. He nodded eagerly. He took his hands from you and turned leaning over the seat. He placed two fingers on Sam’s forehead. Sam gasped and shot up. Castiel turned back to you and smiled. ‘I healed him’ You nodded as he looked at you expectantly.

He shifted back towards you and wrapped his arm around you again. He tightened his arm around you pulling you closer to him. Your side pressed against his chest as he sat with his back turned to Dean. ‘Um, thank you’ You tried and he seemed satisfied with you. You glanced at Sam who was looking around the car. Dena chuckled and started to fill him in on what happened. Castiel asking you if you needed anything and offering to get it for you. He even zapped out to get you a water, which gave you and the boys to have a minutes conversation on what the hell was wrong with your Angel. When he zapped back in he opened it and again wrapped his arm around you making sure hold you tightly against him.

The next two days were exactly the same. Castiel barely left your side only when you asked him to grab you something. You were happy Cas was around, you really were but he was constantly there. It was beginning to get irritating. And you couldn’t show him that, the last time you had snapped he had looked like he was about to cry and kept apologising saying how much of a horrible person he was for upsetting you.

You groaned as you turned to find Castiel standing behind you again. ‘Jesus Cas’ You snapped dropping the plate you had in your hand in surprise. You thought he was still in the library. ‘Why the hell were you standing so close’ You snapped throwing your hands up into the air. ‘Can’t you just stay in the library for one minute’ You crouched reaching for the shattered plate. ‘I will take care of that’ He crouched in front of you grabbing your hand before you could touch the shard of delf. ‘Castiel, I am not an invalid’ You yanked your hand away from him and stood putting your hands on your hips glaring down at him. ‘I can do things myself. You need to back off’ He snapped and the mess you had made disappeared. ‘You are upset’ He looked up at you through his lashes. ‘Damn right I am, I can’t even go to the bathroom without you wanting to follow me’ He stood quickly blinking.

His eyes met yours. ‘I-I am the reason you’re upset?’ He whispered his voice cracking. ‘I need space Castiel’ You snapped again. ‘From me? You do not want me around’ That stopped you in your traces your anger subsiding. His eyes looked moist and his lip trembled. ‘I-I didn’t mean to upset you, I wanted to know if you were okay. I’m sorry’ He looked down. ‘Cas, cas. I’m sorry. It’s okay’ You tried to reassure you. ‘No, no it’s not. I upset you, me’ He breathed. ‘I just wanted to make you happy, I’m sorry Y/N’ Your heart broke as his voice shook. ‘Cas’ You breathed. Why were you so stupid. It wasn’t him, it was this damn spell none of you could figure out. ‘Cas’ You stepped forwards and wrapped your arms around him.

You had learned since you had returned that Cas craved contact from you. As soon as your arms draped over his shoulders he wrapped his around your waist and pulled you tightly towards him. He bent burying his face in your neck. ‘I’m sorry, I’ve been trying so hard to make you happy I did not know I was upsetting you’ He nuzzled into your neck and you melted into him. You knew it was the spell but it was nice to have Cas in your arms and not feeling so tense. ‘I’m a horrible person, I’ve upset you. I am careless and inconsiderate to you’ He sighed and your heart shattered into a million pieces. ‘No, no Cas’ You breathed your hand coming up to stroke the back of his head. ‘You’re not, you are one of the best people I know. You are one of my best friends and I love you. You could never upset me’ You hugged him tighter. ‘I’m just hungry, I’m snappy when I’m hungry’ Castiel pulled back immediately. ‘I can help’ He looked so eager to please that you forced a smile on your face and nodded

You dropped your head to the table and felt a hand on your knee. ‘Are you okay? Are you tired?’ Castiel’s deep voice sounded worried. ‘Thirsty’ You muttered. ‘Beer? Water?’ He rushed. ‘A beer’ You nodded at him and looked up. His hand disappeared as he stood. You had asked him to stop zapping everywhere to get you things, it gave you time to talk to the boys about him. ‘You get me one to Cas?’ Dean asked. It amused him sometimes how the Angel would ignore all other requests but yours and seeing as his bottle was almost full this must have been one of those times.

Cas sent him a hard look as he walked from the room. ‘I think it’s time to call Rowena’ You leant across the table. You had brought this up before but was met with total resistance. Dean shook his head. ‘No, we can figure this out’ You rolled your eyes. ‘We’ve been at it for two days Dean’ You growled. ‘Call the bloody Witch’ He crossed his arms. ‘It’s only been two days, we have plenty more books Y/N’ He gestured to the stack near Sam. ‘You’re not the one that he’s following around, I don’t know how much longer I can take it Dean’ You snapped your voice low. ‘He watches me sleep’ Dean smirked.

Sam sighed and sat up finally joining your conversation. ‘I think she’s right Dean, that is a bit creepy’ You nodded and pointed to Sam. ‘I almost shot him this morning, I completely forgot what was going on’ You growled but Dean still looked unconvinced and Sam opened his mouth again but you cut him off. ‘I’m going to have another break down and I’ll hurt his feeling again Dean. Do you know what it’s like to see him trying not to cry?’ Dean shrugged.

He leaned forwards. ‘I thought you’d be happy with this, all you wanted was Cas around, you used to complain all the time. With your feelings for the blue eyes Angel this should be your dream come true’ You narrowed your eyes. ‘I’m calling the damn witch Winchester’ You growled out and reached for your phone.

Dean intercepted you. ‘No’ He growled. ‘Is he bothering you?’ Castiel’s voice growled from the door. All three of you looked towards him. His eyes were on Dean as he glared. The low dangerous tone of his voice sent shivers through you. ‘No, he’s not’ You reassured Castiel. ‘I was just going to bed, you can give Dean that’ You told him about the lone beer bottle in his hand. You dropped the phone and shoved your chair back. ‘If we don’t have anything by tomorrow Winchester, I will’ You turned and began walking towards the bedrooms.

You stopped when there was a smash. ‘Cas’ Sam’s voice shouted. You whirled around the see something you never thought you would. Cas had Dean by the collar and had his shoved back into the chair. Dean’s eyes were wide as he took in his best friend leaning over him threateningly. Cas was glaring at Dean. ‘I can feel her emotions Dean’ Cas growled. Sam grabbed his coat but Cas shoved him off causing him to stumble back. ‘You have upset her’ You had never heard Castiel speaking like that. He sounded just plain scary. Then his eyes started to glow that pale blue. ‘I should smite you right now for upsetting her, and then believing you have the right to lay a hand on her’ You rushed around the table.

You wrapped your hands around Castiel’s arm and tugged him. ‘Cas, no stop’ You cried. He tore his eyes away from Dean and looked up at you. His eyes went back to the beautiful blue of his vessel and his face softened. ‘I’m okay, I promise. He didn’t upset me’ Cas scoffed and threw a side glance at Dean. ‘He did’ You shook your head and tugged at him again. ‘No, please Cas, stop’ You didn’t know whether Castiel would actually hurt Dean but with the way he was acting lately you didn’t want to chance it. ‘Come on, please’ Cas glared at Dean one more time before letting him go and standing up straight.

He straightened his own jacket before turning to you. He tugged his arm from your grip and the wrapped it around you. He yanked you close to him pressing you against him as he wrapped his other arm around you as well. You reached around and patted his back. Cas sighed a little and buried his face in your hair. You gulped. ‘I will not allow him to make you feel bad, if he tries again I will remove him from your presence’ Cas tightened his hold on you as you glanced at Dean who was still looking at you both wide eyed. ‘Cas, I should sleep’ You felt him nod but he didn’t pull away. You wiggled a little and he slumped letting you go.

You reached out and took his hand. ‘Come on’ You smiled and watched him light up a little as you walked from the room. ‘I think we should call the witch’ You heard Dean say as you left the library and almost rolled your eyes at him. Of course, Cas threatens his life once and he’s all up for calling the witch then.

You called out to Castiel as you tugged down your pajama shirt. ‘Is that Dean’s shirt?’ He asked as he walked into your room. You looked down, sure enough it was one of Dean’s shirts that had gotten ripped along the bottom and he didn’t want anymore. ‘Yeah, I think so’ Castiel shook his head and began to pull of his trench coat. ‘Cas?’ You furrowed your eyebrows as the tie came next, then the jacket. Then he began to unbutton the shirt. ‘Cas? What the hell’ Your eyes widened as he pulled it from his body. You couldn’t help but let your eyes wander.

Damn, he looked good shirtless. There was a tattoo on his ribs in Enochian. He wasn’t was well defined as Sam but damn. He had a broad strong chest, one you had been pulled into numerous times over the last two days. You had felt the tense muscle through his shirt each time. His shoulders were round and well built. His biceps bulged and the muscle moved as he took off his shirt. His abs were hard but weren’t individually defined, it was exactly how you liked. Your eyes followed the v down to the waistband of his suit pants and you let out an unsteady breath.

You sighed, damn he was perfect. ‘Put it on’ He held his shirt out to you. You shook your head but you took in his upper body once more ‘What?’ You furrowed your eyebrows tearing your eyes away from his bare torso. ‘I do not like you seeing you in Dean’s clothes, I am asking you to take it off’ You blinked in shock and opened your mouth. ‘Y/n’ Your name fell from his lips in a plea and you let out a breath. ‘Turn around’ You reached out and took the shirt from him. He did as asked. You bit your lip watching his back.

He crossed his arms and the muscles in his shoulders moved and you swear you could have fainted. He was so strong and well built. You knew he wasn’t a tiny guy under that suit but you had no idea exactly how well defined he was. You buttoned up the last one and then let Castiel know he could turn back around. One his eyes landed on you a large smile spread across his face. One that had his teeth on full show and the corners of his bright blue eyes crinkling. ‘Any better?’ You crossed your arms. He nodded quickly his eyes roaming your body and you couldn’t help the blush that heated your cheeks. ‘Much’ You rolled your eyes at his possessive behaviour before turning and climbing into bed.

When you turned you seen him taking a seat on your desk chair. You watched as he fidgeted in the beat.He wrung his hands and looked around the room. Your eyes fell on his lips as he pulled his pink bottom lip between his teeth. Something was off about him. He was acting nervous. ‘Cas’ You asked timidly. He hummed looking up at you. ‘Is everything okay? You’d tell me if something was bothering you right?’ You whispered. He shrugged and his eyes landed on the bed beside you. You recognised the longing in his eyes. ‘I-I want to be beside you, but you are probably mad at me for threatening Dean earlier’ You sighed as he looked up at you with puppy eyes that put Sam’s to shame. ‘I’m not mad at you Cas’ You leaned forwards leaning on your knees as you brought them up to your chest.

His eyes brightened a little. ‘But, I could feel it from you, you were scared’ He paused and then his eyes widened. ‘Did I scare you?’ You opened your mouth to reply but couldn’t If you lied you knew he’d know. And that would make him feel even worse that you were trying to cover it up. ‘I’m happy you’re on my side’ You settled for dancing around the truth. He sat up a little straighter. ‘I feel safe with you protecting me, I know nothing will ever be able to hurt me with you protecting me’ You told him the truth about everything, you always did feel safe with him there.

You had never felt safer with anyone, not even your own Father. You just didn’t tell him he had also terrified you with the way he leaned into his best friend. You let a smile spread across your face. ‘It’s cold in here, would you join me?’ You asked holding out your arms. The smile was almost as big as the last. He stood and hurried over to the bed. ‘Woah, off’ You stopped his gesturing to his shoes. He hurriedly yanked them off and then undid the button to his trousers and dropped them too. He was reaching for his white boxers when you stopped him still in shock from him dropping his pants. ‘No, no, you-eh-you can- you don’t have to take them off’ You gulped. What you would give to have him take them off, but it would have to be him and not some stupid spell. Which undoubtedly would never happen. The real Cas could hardly hug you without getting extremely uncomfortable. You would certainly never be in this position.

Cas looked up at you before dashing forwards. He grabbed the covers yanking them back and slipped under them. He turned to you and smiled. ‘I have been sitting there for the last two nights hoping you would ask me to join you’ He sounded so excited and your heart melted at his words. ‘You should have said Cas’ You smiled. ‘Are you still cold? I have heard body heat warm you’ He reached out for you. One of his arms wrapped around your shoulder and his other hand landed on your bare thigh as he slipped it around your leg.

He gave a small tug and you rolled falling into him. He slipped down laying his head on the pillow. He pulled you into his side. Your head landed on his chest your cheek pressed against the soft skin as you hummed. Your legs fell across his and you felt the hairs tickling the smooth skin. You let your arm fall across his stomach and you nuzzled your face into his chest and tangled your legs with his.

He chuckled. ‘Your feet are very cold’ He reached up and placed his hand on your cheek and you instantly felt warm and comfortable. ‘Thank you Cas’ You nuzzled against his palm and he tightened his arm. You felt him press a kiss against the top of your head. He grabbed a fist of his shirt tangling his fingers in the material at your waist. ‘Sleep Y/N’ He whispered. ‘I will be here when you wake, I will not leave you’ You yawned snuggling into him further.

You felt more comfortable right now than you ever had when you were sleeping before. This was the most safe you had ever felt when you had gone to bed. You had always been scared of something coming to get you in the dark, since you had known what was out there. As a little girl your Father had always salted and devil trapped the house but you were never truly felt safe. Then you went out on your own and were always alert, even after you found the boys it was still in the back of your mind. But now wrapped in Castiel’s arms you actually felt safe. You felt like you had finally found somewhere you could stay and the world could never touch you.

You felt that thought just drift away and the tension leave your body. ‘I don’t want you to leave Cas’ You muttered sleepily. He pressed a kiss to your head again. You sighed content and happy. ‘Don’t leave’ You breathed your eyes firmly closing as sleep tried to take you. But you tried to stay awake. You wanted to savour this moment, it’s not like this was going to happen after the spell is lifted. Sleep had taken you too far to feel guilty about cuddling with him. ‘I promise you, I will not leave’ You hummed content and then sleep finally took you.

Hold Me Down

I’m going to give this a nice try. SamxReader

“My demons are begging me to open up my mouth, but I need them to mechanically make the words come out. They fight me, vigorous and angry watch them pounce. But they ignite me, licking at the flames they bring about.” Sam read from your journal. You’d been dead for a month now, and he had finally got the courage to enter your shared bedroom again. He had found this journal, one you always wrote in late at night or when Sam was sleeping, and he wanted to read what he had left of you. That was under a page titled ‘innermost thoughts’ but he was just confused, so he read on. “December 18, 2010- I sold my soul to a 3 piece, and he told me I was holy. He’s got me down on both knees, but its the devil himself that’s trying to hold me down.” He remembers you screaming in your nightmares about Lucifer, you having jumped into the cage after him. You weren’t able to have no soul, nor a wall put up in your mind to block out the horrible memories. A tear slid down Sam’s cheek as read on. “November 2, 2012- Sam and I had to sneak out the back door as Dean distracted the vampires. I was bleeding and I heard Sam say not to make a sound. He had to knock me out to make me silent, and I know it must have hurt him. I want more. I want us to live a happy, normal, life. But this is what I live for. If he had just held me down on the deep end of a pool, and I drown. Just die. But Sam would have to watch me, just like Lucifer made him in the cage. Knocking me out will have to do for now, but I want more. I don’t want to live for this.” Sam almost closes the journal, he hardly remembered that. In fact, it never happened. You had made that situation of him knocking you out up in your head. “January 15, 2013- "I’m so selfish, taking what I want and calling it mine. But I’m helpless, clinging to a little bit of spine. The demons rush me, telling me I’m running out of time. They shush me when I try to tell Sam. I feel like I’m walking across a fragile line.” He remembers you tryng to tell him something, but always zoning out and telling him 'nevermind’. “March 9, 2013- I sold my soul. The demon, coincidentally told me my soul was 'holey’. Parts were missing. Those parts were either in the cage or in Sam, but I didn’t care. Sam will be happy once I die, I only got 5 months, the devil is truly holding me down.” Tears are running down Sam’s face. “May 5, 2013- Sam just had his birthday. And I left. I snuck out to go to another bar, drink more, spend my last few months in misery. I got knocked out in a bar fight, didn’t come home for a day. Sam yelled at me but I told him it was fine. This is what I live for. He held me and told me it was okay.” Sam couldn’t believe what you had been going through and you didn’t tell him. “June 24, 2013- My last summer with Sam. Its fun to think about my deal, having sold my soul to a 3 piece, and the special thing we agreed on. He isn’t going to send hellhounds, I am going to hang myself and Lucifer is going to cheer me on. Its funny how much I’ve been praying for Sam lately, so he’ll be happy when I’m gone. I guess I truly am holy.” Sam notced there is only one more entry and he doesn’t want to read it, but he does. “August 9, 2013- This is my last entry. I have the rope ready, just called Sam on his hunt and told him the last info on the thing he’s hunting so he won’t suspect anything. I talked to Satan, he said he’ll hold my feet down while I strangle, to make sure I don’t get away. He sure is sweet like that. I love you Sam, goodbye.” And just like that, he remembered seeing you hanging there after Dean and him got back. He remembered the smell of your rotting corpse, and how Dean had to take you down because Sam couldn’t. He remembered how much he missed you, but knew that you didn’t miss him.
