Kara didn’t know the details of what Minnie did. She simply didn’t want to know. The other was her best friend throughout middle and high school, not that she remembers any of it of course. The bond they shared was special, one that couldn’t be replicated no matter how hard one may try.

As her hand was slapped away she took a step back, listening to Minnie’s apology. “Thank you for apologizing. I just need to finish cleaning it though.” She spoke calmly, knowing that right now Minnie was possibly her most fragile. Seeing the girl in pain often had Kara on edge so she would always be there to help.

Minnie had been out having her usual kind of fun and gotten injured, it wasn’t anything too bad just a small but deep cut on her upper arm. She hissed as the girl tried to help her and slapped her hand away. “I’m sorry, it hurts” she pouted and apologised for lashing out.

Kara’s eyes widened as her girlfriend suggested murder. God she’d never get used to that. “Min, you can’t go about murdering anyone who simply irritates me.” The girl appreciated the gesture but she didn’t want any extra blood on their hands. “Sweetheart, you mean the world to me. I can’t let you take unnecessary risks.”
