— literally becomes pouty, childish and demanding. Please give him the attention and love he wants and deserves because our clingy, stretchy boy loves it. He always says I love you, to everyone, but he means it romantically when he says it to you. Why aren’t you saying it back? >:((
“Alright, Luffy, let’s get going to get the wood.” Usopp stands off to the side, hauling a basket as he makes his way off the ship.
Luffy calls out loudly to you, waving his arms as he stands on the edge to jump down. “I’ll see you soon, [Name]! I love you!”
“Okay, see you when you get back, Luffy!” You reply from the other side of the ship, waving your arms while your free hand holds a glass of Sanji’s special drink of the day steady.
. . .
Luffy stands still for a moment before shouting again. “Okay, I love you!”
“Luffy, let’s go already!” Usopp shouts from below the ship but the Straw Hat ignores him. “I love you, [Name]!”
You didn’t answer him, which causes Luffy to stretch his neck over to the upper deck, to you, face a feet away. “Oi, say it back, [Name].” Luffy demands, eyes narrowed as he stares straight back.
“Hm? Say what?” You question, brows furrowed as you giggle at how close he was, also wondering why he had yet to leave.
“You love me.”
Giggling, you just lean forward to peck his lips. “I love you, Luffy. Now, go get us some wood, mkay?”
Roronoa Zoro :
— Most definitely stubborn, easily annoyed, and kind irritated, especially if he doesn’t often say it, and the one, of a few, times he does, you don’t say it back.
“Would you just say it?”
Your laughs that fill his ears makes Zoro click his tongue as he turns away from you on the hammock, his back to you as his eyes shut. “You’re an ass.”
“You like my ass, though. Last night is proof.” You tease, the swordsman flushing at the memory just a bit before he scoffs. “Stupid woman..”
“Okay, okay,” You calm your giggles a bit and wrap your arms around his torso, arm rising up under his shirt. “If you say it again, I’ll say it back. I want to hear you say it again, Zoro.”
“No, I already said it once, it’s your turn.”
“Come on, please?” You rub his chest and sit up, resting your chin on his shoulder and staring at his shut eyes. “Babe, pleaseee?”
Zoro grumbles just a tiny bit as he mutters out under his breath. “.. I love you..”
Satisfied, you kiss his shoulderblade and pull him so he turns to face you. “I love you, Zoro. See, was that so hard?”
Vinsmoke Sanji :
— literally becomes so heartbroken, his whole world is crushed and he’s all sulky and mopy until you say it, kind of like tamaki from OHSHC to Haruhi? yeah, that.
Sanji tells you he loves you, very often. As often as he can, because he means it, he truly does love you with all of his heart. Even more when you say it back to him every single time. So when one day, you don’t, he’s taken back.
“Hello, my beautiful angel! Did you enjoy the special snacks I made earlier for you today? I tried something new, using a recipe I learned from your native land, doing my best to treat and make it with as much care and love as I can.”
The corner of your eyes wrinkle as you smile, beaming at him when he mentions them. “Yeah, I loved them, Sanji. They were incredibly tasty, almost better than my family making them.”
His eyes widen at the compliment, feeling his heart warming up knowing he did good and he grins. “Great, I’ll make some more later for you! I’m glad to hear they were delicious.” Sanji hums, his cigarette between his teeth as he grins.
“Sounds great. I can’t wait!”
“I’ll get started on dinner preparations right after I get you some more refreshments. Be right back, my dear. I love you!”
“Mkay, take your time, Sanji.” You lean back in your lawn chair, opening back up the pamphlet you had in your hands, which surprises him and causes him to repeat.
“Of course, angel. I love you.”
“Mmh hm.”
“Darling? Did I do something wrong?” Glancing over, you see Sanji staring at you with a mixed look of confusion, lost and sadness. “What do you mean, Sanji?”
“You.. aren’t saying it back..” Sanji mumbles and you blink, feeling the confusion spreading through you before you realize. “OH! Sanji..”
You just giggle and sit up, smiling at him lovingly and tilted your head. And when those words come out of your mouth, he can feel the relief going back into his system as he smiles back with warmth.
“I love you, my prince, Sanji.”

⤿ zoro replaces his arm under your head with a pillow, off to his morning workout, careful not to wake you. but, he knows you’re partially awake by the way your lips curled up after leaving his routine kiss on your cheek.

after getting to know Luffy a little more, I’ve begun to understand how he thinks just a bit more whether it be with people or instances. So I’ve come to the conclusion that if he ever had a s/o his way of showing his love wouldn’t necessarily be just physical contact. I honestly think it would be little things like:
At every meal he would ask Sanji to give you just as much food as him. which is often too much and you end up giving some to him.
If he was bored he find you on deck and just sit next to you, he would just want to be near you. I have a feeling he would feel comfortable enough to fall asleep with a smile on his face.
He would think everything you did was amazing like, “woah! So cool, Y/N! Can you teach me? Please!”
At random times during the day if he saw you walking past he would run over and place his straw hat on your head because your both his treasures. More often than not you’re the one he gives his hat to before fights.
He would show you cool things he finds on the islands.
He’s the one to wake you up in the morning. You always wake up with Luffy’s smiling face over you and once he realizes you’re awake he would giggle and tell you to get breakfast before he eats it all. At least he would give warnings.
Would hold Zoro, Sanji, and Nami back during fights you were in cause he knows you can do it. If you can’t he’s the one that steps in.
“You hurt y/n, I’m gonna kick your ass now.”
He would give headpats.
he laughs at every one of your terrible jokes, even if he doesn’t get it.
Stare-gaze in the crows nest with you and listen to you each time you pointed out a constellation. “I didn’t know that one even existed, you’re so smart y/n.” 
I just really think Luffy would be a good boyfriend even though he might not know what he’s doing. He’s just so honest and loving and i think he would be fun to be around… i just wanna hug and pinch his cheeks PLSSSS

RORONOA ZORO
Tries to convince you to kill the bug yourself.
When he realizes that he can’t get through your stubbornness, he relents and asks you to show him the location of the disgusting creature.
Ends up annihilating the wrong insect. Wait! There’s more?
Gets way too into it and goes on a bug killing spree.
Weapon of choice: defaults to swords but has to consciously remind himself to use his fist for fear of causing unnecessary structural damage.
Score: 6/10; drops to 4/10 if he forgets to switch out of using swords.
SANJI
Mr. Prince Charming over here is more than happy to destroy the insects for you.
Goes above and beyond; will do a full sweep of the room to ensure that no other bugs are near the vicinity.
Weapon of choice: haki-infused leg for a fiery effect.
Score: 8/10
TRAFALGAR LAW
Hates bugs with the burning passion of a thousand suns.
Rolls his eyes at your silly request.
He’s sassy, but he’ll do as you ask.
Decent bug killer; can easily kill them with his devil fruit, but chooses not to use his powers for such “meaningless tasks” — his choice of words, not yours.
Weapon of choice: rolled up previously issued World Economy News Paper.
Score: 7/10
EUSTASS KID
Calls you a wuss for enlisting his help.
Acts like he’s doing you a huge favor, but you quickly find out that he’s quite terrible at killing bugs; you would have better luck asking Killer for help instead.
Ends up destroying property in his pursuit of the pesky little critters.
Weapon of choice: mechanical arm; no wonder the bugs escape from his clutch.
Score: 3/10
PORTGAS D. ACE
Enthusiastic, loving boyfriend to the rescue.
Though, his enthusiasm doesn’t translate so well for his bug-killing abilities.
Treats the entire situation like a game; wants to use creative ways to catch the troublesome pests.
Weapon of choice: homemade bug traps; they’re useful 70% of the time.
Score: 7/10

Zoro walked up to Nami, Usopp, and Sanji, who were all suspicious-like, looking around the corner. It wasn’t the strangest thing on this ship, still, it sparked a little curiosity.
“What are you guys—“
“Shh!” Usopp put his index finger in a shushing fashion.
“I can’t believe that bastard gets time alone with my (name)-chwan…” Sanji somehow sulked and seethed.
“Shut up!” Nami smacked Sanji upside his head (much to the mosshead’s amusement,) “They’ll hear us!”
Zoro pouted, being the only one out of the loop, “Who’ll hear you?”
Zoro tumbled forward when Nami yanked his sleeve, telling him to look around the corner. He complained about not being able to see anything, then Sanji kicked his head, just strong enough so Zoro’s one working eye could actually see what everyone was so worked up about.

notes: whaaaaaat i have totally not been neglecting kisstober ahem anyways enjoy!
“c’mon y/n!”
currently, you were being pulled by your overly eager captain into town. his blood pumped in excitement for the fireworks and you had to say, his excitement was cute. sure he was happy almost every minute of the day, but when he got like this; smile reaching from ear to ear, wide eyes filled with anticipation, this overwhelming excitement of his was contagious, and it consumed you entirely.
so when you expressed interest in seeing the fireworks, he knew he had to get you two the best spot. monkey d. luffy doesn’t settle for second.
tons of people crowded the area, but luffy wasn’t having it. he gripped your wrist like a vice, squishing through the people saying, hey move, you’re in my way, and straight up pushing people out of the way. luffy was nothing if not straight forward. it was a little embarrassing to apologize to all of those people though.
it was totally worth it though when you made it to the front just as the show was starting.
with booms and whistles colorful fiery lights exploded in an array of shapes and colors. luffy was absolutely marveled at the sight, as were you, but you couldn’t stop staring at the colors reflecting in his bright eyes. he wasn’t looking at you and the butterflies in your stomach still had the nerve to act up.
“luffy!” you tried to yell over the deafening fireworks show, “thank you for bringing me!”
he turned to you, “did you say something?” you barely heard and sighed.
“never mind.”
“haaah?”
“I SAID NEVER MIND!!”
he laughed, before looking back at the show. he couldn’t hear you, but you wanted to show your gratitude in some other way. you stood on your tippy toes, leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek.
and maybe he thought you were trying to tell him something, maybe something flashed in the corner of his eye, or maybe it was pure coincidence. but in that same moment, he turned to face you and your lips landed on his.
your eyes widened and he stood there frozen for a while, the cogs in his mind turning and all you wanted to do was crawl in a hole and hide forever.
then, something unexpected yet totally luffy happened. he smiled.
so, we may never know what prompted him to turn his head in that moment. but do know that that wasn’t the last kiss you shared that night.

Ever since you first sat in Luffy’s lap, he forgot how to act.
And you, oh you poor, unsuspecting thing. You didn’t stand a chance.
You were on the deck, going about your business, when two stretched arms wrapped around your waist. Before you realized what was happening, you were whiplashed into the next century. Your brain felt like a top that never ceased to spin.
That is, until you heard:
“Shishishi, hi (name)!”
“Luffy,” you said from behind your now wild hair, a dangerous glare in your eye, “Let go of me.”
He pouted, “Why? I want to be close to you.”
“No. You can’t just yank me like that and think that it’s okay.”
But didn’t you like being in his lap? What changed? He wasn’t well versed in common sense, but he could tell you were mad at him, and he understood that in some way, it was his fault.
“I’m sorry (name).” His arms wrapped even tighter as he buried his forehead onto your shoulder, “I’m sorry.”
“Let me go.”
“What! But I said I’m sorry!”
“N-no, you’re squeezing too tight—“
He hastily removed his arms from your waist. Why did he keep messing up? He didn’t mean it, really. All he wanted was to see that sunny smile of yours. “Sorry...”
You sighed. As mad as you were, sadness wasn’t a good look on Luffy. Though, you weren’t going to give in that easily. You cupped his chin, pinching his rubber cheeks to face you, “Listen Luffy. I didn’t appreciate how you flew me into your lap when all you had to do is ask.”
“Cah you shtay here noe?” passed his squished lips.
You gave him a stern look, “Only if you promise to never pull me like that again. Ever.”

You expected him to pick up a bigger fight—but once you managed to push him into the water, Luffy became meek like a docile kitten, grabbed by its neck by its mother. He’s pouting and trying to make puppy eyes at you, but he’s behaving and sitting in his place, between your legs and resting against your chest.
“It’s so hot here, Y/N!” He whines as you scrub his tanned shoulders. His skin gets noticeably paler when treated with soap—and you truly don’t want to know how much dust there was on it before you put your threats into action and made him take a bath with you.
“Don’t be a baby.” You rinse the foam down from him and reach for a shampoo. “It’s not going to kill you.”
“It might! I can’t swim!”
“It’s too shallow, you dumbass!”
Luffy stops squirming once your fingers brush his scalp. Soon, he starts to melt and make purring-like noises, leaning against you more and more.
“It does feel good.” He admits before pouting again. “But just a little bit.”

Luffy sits on the wooden ledge of the thousand sunny. His eyebrows furrow as thinks about the idea of you.
“Hey Luffy, mind if I sit with you?” You snuck up from behind him, wearing a smile.
Luffy has been wondering if you really do have a crush on him. Usopp told him that you did and how obvious it was. Usopp also brought up the term “flirting” which was foreign to the dense boy. Luffy only just started realizing how you acted around him and he found it cute.
“Are you flirting with me?” He questioned, raising a brow with a teasing smirk.
Your cheeks lit up with pink hue as you began a giggling fit, replying with, “You finally noticed?”
His mouth gaped open in surprise, as he switched his stare from the ocean to you. He started to chuckle.
“Wait, really!?” He asked with awe, scratching the back of his head out of embarrassment for not noticing sooner.
You nod your head up and down vigorously, with a big smile. Luffy felt his heart beating a lot faster than usual as his wavering smile became a full grin.
Grabbing you by the shoulders he pulled you into a tough side hug, squeezing you close. He began to laugh with you happily, knowing that the idea of you and him was now a possibility.

In times like this you were praising Franky’s genius. Despite sailing in the area of winter island (and dealing with a horrible freeze), the heating system on Sunny was keeping warmth in the cabin quite well. A few blankets and fluffy, thick pajamas were enough for you to stop shaking, probably for the first time today. Most of it you spent outside, either on a lookout, forced to shovel snow from the deck or dragged by your boyfriend into another snowball fight. You tugged yourself into a comfortable burrito, ready to succumb into a sleep any moment—and to remain in this state as long as your lively crew would let you. It was unusually silent, only Nami’s and Robin’s peaceful breaths audible from the distance of their beds. Seemed it was too cold even for the men to deal with, their traditional bedtime banter lost against desperate need to look for warmth.
But then the door creaked and someone stalked inside. Not really skillfully, you had to admit it, so you quickly recognized the intruder. Before he reached your bed, Luffy managed to trip a few times and turned the wrong way, in the darkness mistaking Nami’s head for yours. Few “shishishis” curses later he eventually found the right way and curious (and cold) rubber hands unraveled your burrito.
“Hey!” You tried to protest as Luffy, uninvited, pushed himself into your cozy nest. “What are you doing?”
“I can't sleep without you. I need my personal body heater and cuddles.”
One, two, three wraps later you found yourself completely surrounded by his arms and with his wide-grinning face right in front of yours. Luffy was ice-cold, you wouldn’t be surprised if your dumbass captain—and boyfriend—had fallen asleep on the deck and found himself covered by snow from toes to the tip of his straw hat.
“Shouldn’t you be on a lookout?”
“Zoro is training, he can watch.”
“Don’t you have your own bed?”
“Cuddles. I told you, Y/N.”
“Did you at least take a shower?”
“Nah. I bathed yesterday.”
You sighed and tried to make yourself comfortable anew. It wasn’t so easy when Luffy wrapped yourself around you like a human boa.
“What’s wrong? You don’t want to cuddle?” He pouted. “I thought you liked cuddles.”
“I like breathing too.”
“Whoops, sorry.” The grisp around you loosened and your ribs were more than grateful. You turned and curled into a small spoon—Luffy loved to be the big one…and besides, it wasn’t a good idea to nuzzle up to him after he forgot to shower—letting him warm himself against you. Despite his rowdy nature and not really gentle attitude, Luffy was a very good cuddler, if guided right. As he relaxed, his rubber body became softer and you almost sunk back in it as in a good mattress. Luffy nuzzled up your nape, left a few innocent and a bit cold kisses along the line of your hair.
“You smell so nice.” He almost purred. “You should call me when you showered.”
“Didn’t you just say you bathed yesterday?” You chuckled. “Thought you had enough water.”
“Geez, washing yourself alone is boring. I wanted to scrub your back.”
“We can take a shower now? Everybody’s asleep, we will have plenty of hot water for ourselves.”
“Nah, I’m good here.” Grisp of boa arms tightened anew. Luffy might have been a good cuddler—but also a possessive one. He liked to manifest the fact he had his whole world within reach. “It’s so warm, I don’t wanna move.”
“Fine, fine. We’ll stay here.” You let him treat you as his personal teddy bear and—it didn’t take long for him to fall asleep. Calm, warm breath tickled your neck and ear and eventually, the chill of his body disappeared. No wonder you quickly found your own dreams: safe and sound in your boyfriend’s embrace.
