"Rhaenyra Targaryen, cheered as the Realm's Delight when she was young, and later called the Great, is the first-born child and only living child of King Viserys Targaryen by his first wife, Queen Aemma of House Arryn. She had a young brother, Baelor, died a day after his birth and four other half-siblings; Aegon II Targaryen, Helaena Targaryen, Aemond Targaryen and Daeron Targaryen. At the age of eight, she was made her father's heir, and grew up expecting to become his heir after his death, until her claim to the Iron Throne was challenged by her younger half-brother, Aegon II Targaryen, sparking the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, who she won becoming the first ruling Queen of Westeros.
