In a hospital, Hotch, a dark-haired man in a blood-stained white button-up grabs the side of the reception desk with his right hand and a cart with his left before collapsing, taking the cart down with him.

love hotch grabbing the cart as he falls. he can't just collapse he has to do it as dramatically as possible or he'll explode!! (just like kate <3 sorry. too soon?)

In front of a field with a large fire burning is Morgan, a man with a shaved head wearing a bulletproof FBI vest. He pants for breath, bracing his right arm across his chest and lifting his left hand to his ear before speaking. Indoors, Garcia, a blonde woman with a headset, exhales, shoulders slumping. White subtitles read: "Garcia? I'll tell you what you are to me."
Morgan's right hand falls away from his chest as he speaks, then his left falls away from his ear. White subtitles read: "You're my God-given solace."
Morgan continues to pant before closing his eyes and speaking. White subtitles read: "Woman, you promise me one thing."
Morgan pants and looks off to the right before speaking, shaking his head as he does. White subtitles read: "Whatever happens, don't you ever stop talking to me."
Garcia speaks. She blinks several times, frowning. Pink subtitles read: "I can't right now because I'm mad at you."
Frowning, Garcia takes off her headset and tosses it down, exhaling. White subtitles read: "I can wait."

the thing thats so funny to me about morgan and garcia is that their relationship would be significantly more normal if they fucked. because if they did you could be like “oh okay cool theyre fwb! got it. this is a relationship dynamic i see regularly."

but when theyre flirting incessantly and have petnames they only call eachother and dropping INSANE lines like these and never sleeping together. then you have no choice but to go “okay. wtf is going on here."

yes i know people flirt with their friends. but i feel like there is a line and calling your bestie your “god-given solace” crosses it. (at least in fiction. real-life relationships have too many variables to make statements like that about). especially coming from derek “complicated relationship with god” morgan.

basically. if morgan and garcia slept together it would put their relationship into a category. but because theyre so weird about eachother but never sleep with eachother it puts their relationship into the undefinable category of “idk man theyre morgan and garcia. theyre just like that.
