I realized recently the NC prison is directly next to a Petrochem plant. Petrochem sent Jago to prison for embezzlement and it’s most likely he was just sent there. How fucking insane do you think he was going having to look at that shit every day 😭

I like to think that she came here, looked over the border of Dogtown, out into the distance of the Badlands and dreamed of places far away. The stars above her head and the Longshore Stacks at her back, and for a few seconds in her seven years she had some peace.

I genuinely really really appreciate that cyberpunk’s trans characters don’t face any adversity due to their transness. That’s something that happens in real life constantly. I face it. It’s realistic, if you will, but it’s good as fuck to see characters not deal with it. 2077 is a horrible year to be alive. Night City is a horrible place to live. I'm sure people are still transphobic because it's something that will likely never go away no matter how far in the future it is, but god, is it nice to not see it.

Claire and Jago both face adversities in their respective missions. But it has nothing to do with them being trans. It’s because they’re competition, and they’re fierce competition. Both of them are successful and respected, and seeing this in Jago especially was something that led me to accepting that I was trans after struggling with this realization for a very long time. It's a minute detail in the grand scheme of cyberpunk 2077, but portraying trans people as successful and respected will always be incredibly, incredibly important.

I was kindaaa debating posting this for a bit just because I wanted to post some more art of him with it but 🤷‍♂️ taking my little break from drawing so I figured I’d post something from a bit ago.

Aston Martinez, known better by his netrunning moniker “VANQUISH” (his name and moniker are a pretty obvious reference LOL), was once a member of the Cynosure revival project, and a former coworker of Kerberos. Needless to say, his life was turned upside down after the project’s failure. An attempt to escape Netwatch in Dogtown was met with an attempt on his life by a former colleague. With no idea of where to turn next, Aston simply fled to the badlands, where he soon joined the Aldecaldos. Though he’s still often struck with paranoia of a certain coworker paying him another visit, all things considered, Aston has never been happier.

If you can guess what his name is a reference to I’ll ummmm. Idk, tell you good job 👍

I’m starting on a little fic from the early years of barghest, specifically about Jago joining (who else do you expect from me lol). Barghest’s infancy isn’t discussed terribly much ingame, aside from loose dates and small details, such as barghest’s name coming first, and Dogtown’s name being derived from it later. So there’s a lot of gaps to fill in, which is, to me, the fun part! If you have any hcs about barghest in general, send them my way! I think it’s super fun to discuss and I love hearing from others :D

phantom liberty makes my brain hurt, dogtown scares the shit out of me but it slaps in terms of color and light. probably the prettiest place in night city
