Okay, so, I have some ideas regarding this too. Or questions I guess. Diets the detective ever find out? Like, at one point he’s all upset cuz he can’t catch the actual killer in his mind, but, he eventually notices a connection between his ex and the murders. Just there, and he doesn’t know what to do about it cuz god damn it theyre so cute together and everyone makes mistakes right???? Right???? So now I’m just sitting over here just thinking about the detective very frantically and angrily cleaning up all things related to his ex and their new adorable lover on the crime scene just cursing under his breath about how fucking weak he is for cute romances.
