In “news that isn’t really that big of a deal but I am excited about,” this multi-fandom-reblog-trash-can-nightmare of a blog has 600 followers! I don’t know who most of you are. maybe you’re p*rn bots?? But, behind every p*rn bot is a human who programmed said bot, so…hallo!
To celebrate this relatively silly milestone I want to take fic writing prompts.
NOW. If you know me, you know I should not be trusted to do these in a timely manner.

no offense but the soft uncertain kiss followed by a pause where the people look each other in the eyes and then fucking pull eachother back into a more passionate kiss will always be the most soul destroying trope , catch me lying on the fucking ground sobbing and rewatching The Scene™✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Dair AU: Dan and Blair got married and lived happily ever after.
maybe not "manipulated" but how he isolated her and only wanted her around him during s5. Or sending in the video of her telling chuck she loves him at her wedding. But what are ur thoughts about Blair not being her true self during dairs relationship and dan only liking the character he created.
How did he isolate her? Because he wanted to spend time with her? And Dan sending the video of her confession to Chuck, I mean, it wasn’t his place to do it, no, like most things that happen in Gossip Girl, but it’s not like he did it because he thought she would call him if the wedding got called off.
Anyway. You seem more interested in the latter. And I just, I have a hard time with that argument for a couple of reasons.

What I like about this interview with Leighton
and what I like about the interviews Safran had about Dair:
“It can be creatively fulfilling to go, like, “Wow. Dan and Blair have had this connection that has always been there. And they are maturing and growing older and whereas before they might’ve looked down on that connection maybe they can now find some solace in that connection. That is a fun thing to witness. Chuck and Blair are always going to be connected in their way, and Dan and Serena are always going to be connected in their way. is the acknowledgement that people and characters can be [and should be] multifaceted so just because Blair doesn’t act the way she acts with Chuck with Dan doesn’t mean that she isn’t the “real Blair” with him, like she has the same energy, the same humour, the same sharp wit and judgement she always did when she spent time with him
which he enjoys
she just isn’t high school Blair
It’s like saying that people have to remain the exact same they did in high school
and there are so many memes/tweets about that
2. Dan knew who Blair was before he wrote the book???
Their relationship develops even before it becomes romantic

He’s given her advice and seen her vulnerable side since season 1
They’ve been rivals
He’s seen how her plots with Chuck could negatively impact people i.e. Vanessa and when she turns to him explaining that she lost who she was
he talks about characteristics that can be applied to her
and he references actual time they spent together as interns, where he saw her passion and her dedication
including her scheming side
and it’s funny because I bring these things up and then get accused of reducing Blair to her likes and dislikes but the point is Dan and Blair connect through their likes and dislikes and learn about each other through them, like when they watch movies together, they’re not just watching the movies, they’re making commentary on it, they’re revealing mindsets and opinions about certain things based on what they’re watching
and you know, Dan listens to Blair
So I don’t understand how he could have this idealized version of her that he completely created in his head and love her and not the person he’s been spending time with.
