Danny Needs To Drink Ectoplasm - Tumblr Posts
Tim knows Danny is lying. It's not only the fact that urine doesn't smell like that, but also that Danny was a terrible liar. He was so dumbfounded by the excuse Danny thought of that he couldn't continue with the questioning at that moment, as Danny scrambled to leave the dormitory.
He knows Danny placed a formal request for a new roommate. What? Danny's his new puzzle, of course he's keeping tabs on everything that involves him. It's easy for him to make the request disappear.
Next problem is that Danny must have found another place for whatever he is hiding, since the smell disappeared almost completely. With the serial killer case, he doesn't have time to investigate were it went.
The obvious approach should be to question Danny about it again, telling him he doesn't believe him. Honestly, not even the must naive person would have. The problem is that at this point, Danny probably already had thought of a better excuse, and Tim isn't sure how far he can push it before Danny decides to just leave.
Danny's already leaving the dormitory way earlier in the morning and going back way later in the evening to prevent meeting with him. He had made other 3 formal requests disappear.
The serial killer may choose another victim soon. So maybe he'll focus on that to let Danny calm down once more before trying to approach him again.
Tim is so focus on his mystery that he doesn't realize that Danny fits perfectly with all the other victims profiles until he noticed Danny following the teacher for a "problem in his last assignment."
Tim is going to college. Not because he's actually going, but because he's investigating a possibly-serial-killer professor and when he goes undercover, he tends to go all the way.
But there's something stranger than his professor.
It's his roommate.
He and his roommate have their own closets.
His roomate's closet smells....super weird. Familiar, but weird, and Tim can't place it.
He's trying, but it's getting to the point where he's getting distracted from his actual case out of sheer curiosity.
His roommate will duck into the closet, come out with his steel water bottle full and looking flushed. He refuses to share his drinks. He's secretive about even a drop of it coming out.
He goes to open the closet while his roommate is out...and it's locked. With multiple layers of security. Tim only barely noticed prior to triggering one of them, and quickly played it off as tripping over something and running into the door.
With the deadline for when the professor will choose his new victim upcoming, Tim doesn't have time to break through that security.
And, logically, he knows it's probably just a distillery, but he has to know.
So, he asks.
Daniel Fenton stares at him with wide, horrified eyes.
"You can smell that?" He asks, voice cracking.
Tim nods, still pretending like he think's it's a hard drug and that he's running an intervention.
"Look man, if you need help-"
"Urine Therapy." Daniel blurts out, looking horrified and glancing at his steel water bottle on the bed.
Tim wishes he heard that wrong.
"Urine what?"
"I...it's..it's piss. I'm drinking piss. I really...sure do love doing that. Yes." Daniel rambles, voice getting higher and cracking more by the time that sentence is done.
Or; Danny needs to drink ectoplasm due to the reduced levels of it in Gotham compared to Amity Park. He thought he could get away with keeping it in his dorm closet, but when his roommate Alvin Draper asked, he said the first thing that came to mind. The second thing he did was put in a formal request for a new roommate, because he is never, ever, going to be able to look that man in the eyes again.
