Oh my gosh, this made me laugh! Awesome. Awesome job. I gotta say the only comic Clint I have met is Matt Fraction's. "Aw, coffee, no" is such a mood and the fandom uses this all the time. I love dorky deaf Clint.

Is there a "I've gone too far" with writing research?

Let me clarify my odd question. I write marvel fanfiction and original stuff at the moment. In order to understand and write Clint Barton, and other deaf characters in the future, better I've taken my interest in ASL off the back burner and decided to more seriously pursue it. Got a couple textbooks for my bday. Found Vicar's ASLU resources online along with some other promising resources I want to look in to.

Am I taking it too far by considering a degree in ASL/Deaf studies? I mean it's all for you Hawkeye but college is so expensive and I'm still finishing my first BA.. I gotta say some colleges look promising though. Liking some of the coursework options at one I found up in Boston.

Anyway, help a friend out? I always knew I'd be a jack-of-all-trades to be a full time writer but another college? Another degree? Too far you think? I just don't think online will do enough for me you know. Gotta have that in person instruction.

Did you guys know Jeremy Renner sings? Because I just discovered this.

I knew the guy played but I didn't know he sings. He's really good too. No auto tune here it sounds like. Now I'm wondering if Clint secretly sings in the shower with his aids out. He's pretty sure he sounds terrible but doesn't care. Nat sneaks in and sets up a recorder at some point. Plays it back to him later that evening over Chinese food and cartoons. He has to admit he isn't as tone deaf as he thought. Nat just rolls her eyes.

Hawktober Day 2: Bedhead

He having a rough morning. Only got one aid in. No idea what's going on.

Hawktober Day 3: Hearing aids

"Whatcha working on Clint?"

"My hearing aids."

"Really? Because it likes you're just covering them in nail polish."

Clint paused. Tilted his head up. "They weren't the color I asked for."

Bucky grinned. "You asked for glitter purple?"

"No," Clint scoffed. He blew over the tops of his aids to help them dry. "Nat didn't have a plain purple polish."

Hawktober Day 4: ASL

"Okay. So like this?"

Clint grinned. "Nope."

"Ah c'mon. Not even close?"

"There's a couple ways to do it. Maybe just try the easy way."

Bucky rolled his eyes. "You said spelling was easy."

"Once you get the hang of it," Clint conceded. Then he shrugged. "You've only been practicing for like... ten minutes maybe."

Hawktober Day 5: Coffee

Smells so nice. Warm and cozy. The smell of coziness. This must be the taste of-

A hand shaking his shoulder rudely pulls Clint from the daydream he'd been indulging in. He glares at the intruder of his moment. Clutches his coffee mug against his chest protectively.

Bucky rolls his eyes. Points at his ears.

Nuh-uh. Not today, Clint thinks as he shakes his head moodily. Today it's just him and coffee and Dog Cops with the subtitles on. No hearing aids today.

Hawktober Day 6: Purple

"How do you live like this?"

Clint tilted his head at the odd question. "Like what?"

"Surrounded by pizza boxes and the color purple?" Bucky asked, gesturing exasperatedly at the mess.

"You helped eat three of those," Clint reminded.

It was only a moment before his game was interrupted again by Bucky's complaining.

"And the purple everywhere?"

At that, Clint took offense. He paused his game and righted himself from his upside down position on the couch.

"You got a problem with the best color ever?"

"Best color ever seems a little..." Bucky sighed, trailing off as Clint scowled at him. "Could you at least pick another shade of purple for the walls? You whole apartment is drowning in one color."
