and this is why my ass is staying FAR away from miguel x reader tumblr fics. most of the ao3 fics on there for him are teen but then for some reason there's an abundance of miguel/johnny on there (not miguel & johnny but miguel/johnny) which concerns me. im just hoping that that they mistagged but... that's a lot of people mistagging.
bruh... like babe seriously? ik that the actors are fine as fuck (and they are fine as fuck) but the characters are minors. like op said, xolo, jacob, gianni, (+ griffin, and dallas and oona tho idk if people are being weird about oona and devon) started out on the show as young as 16 (griffin/dallas/oona even younger than that). they're all grown now but don't be fucking WEIRD!
this is going to be controversial but this fandom is very perverted....i just wanted to see if I could find some new eli fics to celebrate the release of s6 but tell me why the tag is filled with so much smut?!
these characters are canonically MINORS! it makes me feel so gross that there are explicit fics with photos of these literal children on them! xolo, gianni, and jacob were under 18 when cobra kai started, doesn't it make you feel gross that the face of your smutty fic is a child?
i wanted to keep my mouth shut on it but like c'mon. can't we do better?
What the flip tumblr where are all the Demetri Alexopoulos fanfics at, why don't people write for him he's a cutie
hear both @wildernezz and i out

“Robby, get up, it's time for school!” You yell at your son from the kitchen.
You hear heavy footsteps approaching in the kitchen, you look up and see an extremely sleepy Robby take a seat at the counter.
“Morning. Got any coffee?” Robby says after he rubs his face.
“Honey, you do know that it’s almost 8am, right? You shouldn’t be this tired,” you chuckle at your son as you pour him a small cup of coffee.
“Mom, you do know that I have more important things to do than sleep, right?”
You hand him his coffee and look at him trying to hold back your laughter, “And what is that? You know, besides your video games.”
Robby hadn’t expected you to rebuttal his statement and he clearly had no clue what to say so he changed the subject, “So, are you going to dinner tonight?”
“To your Dad’s?”
Robby smiles, “Please come!”
You shake your head, “No, there’s no way I’m going. I’ve got plans.”
Robby chuckles, “Oh yeah? What plans?”
“Two words. Couch, TV.”
Robby rolls his eyes, “No. You’re coming tonight. I know you two have your differences but please! I would like to sit down and eat dinner with both parents,” he breaks out the puppy dog face and it always causes your heart to melt.
You wanted to stand your ground and tell him ‘no’ but you just couldn’t when he pulled that face on you, “Fine. I’ll go.”
You and Johnny had gotten divorced when Robby was pretty small. He doesn’t necessarily remember you two ever being together as a family. You and Johnny did have your differences but you two didn’t really hate each other like the other divorcee’s. You and him relatively got along; the only reason you two separated was because you couldn’t handle Johnny’s drinking problem and him 9 times out of 10 being late to pick Robby up for school. You can admit that Johnny wasn’t an extremely involved father with his son. You tried your best to make Robby believe that he was an outstanding father because you couldn’t handle the thought of your son carrying the thought that he was a burden to his dad. Robby adored Johnny all because of you. Robby adored you as well; but you could tell that it was eating him up that you two weren’t together.
Robby had tried countless times to get you two to reconnect and sometimes it worked. For a while you and Johnny were constantly on and off; but it got to the breaking point when he would sink back into his drunken stupor. Robby was almost seven years old. You would come home from work after picking Robby and seeing Johnny passed out on the couch. Once you got in you would make Robby a sandwich and pour him something to drink and you would wait for Robby to go to his room.
“Johnny! Wake the hell up!”
You got no response from Johnny.
Your voice gets louder, “Johnny!”
Still nothing.
That’s when you say fuck it and get a glass of cold water and pour it on him causing him to jolt awake.
“What the hell!” Johnny exclaims, “I was sleeping. What’d you do that for?”
You cross your arms, “You’re joking, right?”
Johnny looks at you confused, “What?”
You scoff, “Did you forget that you have a family? A son? That you needed to pick up from school today?”
Johnny’s eyes widen at your statement, “Oh my God, I’m–I’m–”
“Sorry? Really? Oh yeah, ‘sorry’ is definitely gonna fix it. Do you know how many chances I have given you?”
“Babe–”
“No. I’m not–” you sigh and run your fingers through your hair, “I’m not doing this again. I can’t do this again.”
Before Johnny could say anything else you head to yours and Johnny’s room and pack your stuff. There was a part of you begging for him to come in and talk to you; to beg you to stay, but he never did. Your eyes start to well up with tears. You hold them back from falling because you didn’t wanna give him the satisfaction. After you finish packing your things you head into Robby’s room and pack his things with him questioning you what’s going on. You give him the excuse of spending the night at your parents house for a sleepover and Robby got all excited to spend the night with his grandma and it broke your heart knowing that he will never get to enjoy being a true family with his dad again but sometimes it was what’s best. You let Robby hug his dad goodbye and say “I love you.”
You go and get Robby settled in the car while Johnny just sits there on the couch almost comatose from his surroundings. You head back inside to get your last bag of things and you decide to stop in the doorway and say, “So that’s it?”
Johnny slowly looks up at you with dreary eyes, “Please.”
“I can’t fix you, Johnny. I’ve tried. So many damn times but I can’t fix you.”
“Please stay. Please,” Johnny’s voice cracks.
You almost thought about staying with him. Did you really want to leave him like this? Could you be so cold hearted? You decide with the latter and do what’s best for your son so you say, “No. This time you need to fix yourself. Good luck.”
You close the door in his face and leave. Your parents helped you find a new home for you and Robby. Eventually Robby started questioning why you two weren’t going to Johnny’s and you had to break the news to him which was devastating. He cried for what seemed like forever and it killed you on the inside but you knew deep down that he would eventually understand.
You and Johnny went without contact for about six months until he showed up on your doorstep. You heard a knock on your door and you were greeted with a 50% sober Johnny Lawrence.
You automatically get defensive due to the walls you had built up, “What do you want, Johnny?”
“Y/N, listen I–uh–” Johnny rubs the back of his neck nervously and continues, “I’m sorry. I fucked up.”
You almost laugh at his form of apology. He was never good with words.
“Yeah, you did. You broke us.”
“Listen, I’m sorry. I’m getting better. I am. I love you, please come back.”
Those words. They stung. You felt your heart ache. You had started to feel hope. Maybe he was getting better. Maybe you could come back. Maybe you could be his again.
You decided to go against your heart and go with logic, for your son, “Good. Glad you’re figuring your shit out.”
You see Johnny withdraw away from you, “Yeah.”
You almost shut the door in his face wanting to run away from the situation but you hold out a little bit longer, “I hope the road of recovery treats you well, Johnny. Bye.”
You start to shut the door but he stops it.
“If I can’t see you can I please see Robby?”
“Johnny, I–”
“Listen, maybe not today. But soon? Just think about it?”
You give him a small smile and can’t help but give in a little bit, “I’ll think about it, okay?”
Johnny smiles and you almost melt on the spot but you still hold your ground not changing your stern expression towards him and he says, “Thanks. Just give me a call when you decide, okay? He doesn’t have to spend the night or anything. I know you don’t trust me right now. I just– I wanna see him.”
You nod your head, “I’ll call you when I decide, Johnny.”
Johnny nods his head and leaves in silence. No goodbye’s or I love you’s just nothingness. You feel the pain in your heart as he walks away. You wanted him to turn back around and sweep you off your feet but unfortunately he didn’t. He just drove away leaving you standing in your doorway alone.
After a few weeks you give Johnny a call and he answers, “Y/N!”
“Johnny,” you almost gasp at his voice holding back your tears.
“Have you decided yet?” Oh, he really wanted to get to the point.
“It’s a yes. But on a few conditions.”
You hear Johnny sigh, “Those are?”
“Absolutely no alcohol. No smoking. And not too much junk food, alright? It’ll be evenings after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays because I work late on those days. I’ll swing by after work. We will start there, is that okay?”
You can practically feel and see Johnny’s smile through the phone, “Deal.”
“Johnny, you’re responsible for picking him up from school, feeding him something other than fried bologna and giving him something other than soda, got it?”
“Yes, Y/N. Ya know, you’re kinda a buzzkill.”
You chuckle, “Don’t push it.”
You hear Johnny laugh a little over the phone causing you to feel a tear stream down your cheek but you kept your sobs within. You two say your goodbyes and you finally let go. Robby was at school so you were alone. This was one of the first times you had let yourself feel the actual pain of losing your true love. You had been in denial and in hiding for so long but now you were finally able to feel the pain and let it out.
That next Tuesday you got off work with no calls from the school despite you sweating it all day and you arrive at Johnny’s and are apprehensive to knock on the door. This was once your home but now you felt like a stranger. Before you can knock you can hear Johnny and Robby laughing it seemed like they were laughing at something, probably a movie you thought.
You knock on the door and you hear the boys go silent causing you to smile and Johnny opens with a beaming smile, “Hey, Y/N. How was work? Come in.”
You weren’t ready to come in yet so you decided to stay outside, “Oh, work is work. I’m honestly pretty tired. But thank you. Really, thanks.”
Johnny’s smile falters a bit but he understands you. He knew that you weren’t one to open up a lot or very often.
“Yeah, sure. I get it. Robby get your stuff, buddy.”
You hear Robby whine while he’s packing his stuff saying, “Do I have to go home? Really?”
You chuckle at him, “C’mon Robby.”
You see him approach the doorway with his puppy dog eyes and he asks, “Can I sleepover soon?”
Johnny answers before you can, “Maybe soon. Okay?”
You decided to let Johnny handle that one because Robby was gonna see you as the bad guy this time and go against anything you said.
Robby nods his head and gets in the car. You look back at Johnny and you see him looking at Robby.
You put your hand on Johnny’s shoulder which you regretted as soon as you did it but you say, “Soon. He can spend the night. Just keep up the good work,” you force a smile on your face.
Johnny says confidently, “I’m getting better. I promise.”
You remove your hand, “Good. I’ll see you Thursday, okay?”
For a while Johnny and Robby hung out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then it became on Wednesdays too; eventually it was one weekend out of the month. Then slowly progressed to every other weekend. From then on Johnny was a prominent figure in your son’s life and you were happy about it. Robby was a good kid and you knew he would be able to handle the joint parenting. You and Johnny had gotten closer over the years with you actually being able to step back into the house and sometimes join them watching a movie. You never really let Johnny back in though. You had set boundaries for yourself and for him and he never dared cross that line. Sometimes you wanted him to though. Silently begging him to touch your hand again or to look you in the eyes with the same adoration that he always had but you kept pushing him away and he just accepted it; which wasn’t the usual Johnny way. But for some reason he respected your limitations. He always did.
“Mom?” You hear Robby say.
“Yeah?”
“So you’re coming to dinner tonight?”
You nod your head, “Uh, sure.”
“Cool! I’ll call dad. I also think Miguel, Hawk, and Demetri are coming too!”
You look at Robby with shock, “Them too?”
“Yes, mom. I already asked Dad. He said it was fine!”
“Great! The more the merrier, right?”
“Yeah, I guess. Listen, I gotta go. I’ll see you at Dad’s?”
Robby runs up and gives you a quick hug and you say, “Yeah, sure honey.”
After you hear the door close you say to yourself, “Oh God, what have I gotten myself into? I mean seriously.”
At school Robby runs up to Miguel, Hawk, and Demetri, “Guys!”
The three of them all say, “What?”
“She’s coming to dinner! Parent Trap is happening!”
Hawk and Miguel exclaim, “Awesome!”
But Hawk says, “So this means your mom is completely off the table?”
Robby grimaces, “Dude, ew. She’s always been off the table.”
Miguel lightly hits Hawks chest and says, “Dude. Why?”
Before they can start arguing Demetri asks, “I mean, that’s super awesome. But–uh–guys? We literally have no plan?”
Causing the other three to roll their eyes at him with Hawk explaining, “The plan was to get them back together? Like eating dinner together?”
Robby adds, “Plus we can’t completely plan an entire conversation. It never works out the way you want it to!”
Miguel also adds, “Yeah, dude. I know the whole ‘the world is doomed’ thing is your schtick but let’s celebrate one step at a time!”
Demetri puts his hands up surrendering, “Fine! I’ll shut up,” and he looks at Miguel and narrows his eyes at him, “For the record, I never said ‘the world is doomed.’”
Hawk laughs, “Dude, you literally said that like fifteen minutes ago.”
The boys chuckle and head on to class once the bell rings.
Cut to you getting ready at the house, well, struggling to get ready. Practically your entire wardrobe was strewn across the floor; you silently having a crisis on the floor.
You had no idea what to wear or if you should do your hair or your makeup. You had no clue.
Wait, why did you care? Why did you care about how Johnny Lawrence saw you? He’s seen you at your worst and you’ve definitely seen him at his worst.
You do some light makeup, jeans, t-shirt, and leave your hair down just for the dramatic effect.
You get to Johnny’s and you see Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, and Robby waiting outside for you and you get out of the car and say, “Uh–why aren’t you inside?”
Robby says, “We were waiting for you!”
“Okay, excited?” You question.
Hawk says, “Hey! I’m Hawk,” he reaches out his hand to shake yours and you shake his. Seeing a slight blush come up on his cheeks.
You chuckle, “Hey, Hawk. We’ve met before.”
Robby and the boys give Hawk a slight death stare with Miguel subtly facepalming.
“So, mom,” Robby clears his throat which was clearly a warning towards Hawk, “Anyway, dinner is almost done.”
Miguel says, “Yep! We just finished setting the table!”
You look at them puzzled, “Okay? Thank you.”
Demetri sarcastically adds, “And just finished cleaning up his place too. Jeez, pigsty.”
You hear Miguel whisper to himself, “Oh my gosh, disaster.”
Robby looks at you distressed but tries to play it off as a joke, “HA! Nice one Demetri! Sure here with the comedy, huh?”
The boys start fake laughing and you still confused ask, “Boys. What’s going on? Why are you being weird?”
Hawk tries to cover, “Not us? Weird? Never. Come on. Let’s go inside.”
“Wonderful idea!” Miguel quickly turns around and leads the way with you following suit.
You all walk in and you see Johnny putting the spaghetti on the table. The sight of Johnny actually trying made your heart sink and flutter simultaneously. You hated to admit it but you still loved him.
He looks at you and smiles, “Hey! So, I uh, cooked dinner!”
You laugh, “Sure did!”
You walk up to the table and only see two plates.
You ask, “Okay, two plates?”
Johnny says, “They said it’d be a good idea.”
You look back at the boys and you see them nodding their heads at you.
“Robby? What’s going on?”
Robby says, “Enjoy. You deserve it.”
You are dumbfounded by his answer. You had absolutely nothing to say so you unwillingly took your seat.
You quickly see that boys were going to be waiting on you two causing you to chuckle a bit. The leagues and bounds they’d go through for Robby was extremely endearing.
The first to approach you two was Hawk, “Bread of the garlic variety, ma’am?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, “Sure, Hawk.”
Hawk puts a piece on your plate and a piece on Johnny’s without asking, making you and Johnny chuckle. Next in line was Miguel with wine.
“Wine?”
You agree and Miguel pours you some.
He walks over to Johnny and pours him some water refusing to give him alcohol and leans down to whisper in his ear, very loudly, you’d admit, “Make conversation with her, Sensei.”
Johnny pats him on the arm and whispers back, “Got it. I can handle the ladies just fine.”
Miguel snickers, “Sure you can.”
Demetri walks up with a bowl of salad and sits it down and he smiles at you which is very rare. You don’t think you’d ever seen him smile before.
Last but not least was Robby. He was tasked with serving the spaghetti which he wasn’t very good at. But you and Johnny watched him intently, not trying to make him anymore nervous than he already was. He finally got the hang of it and served you two.
“Bon appetit,” he bowed to you and Johnny; you both thanked all the boys for the hard work, and the three of them went into his room to try to listen to your conversation.
Before you take your first you ask, “Johnny, what’s this about?”
Johnny looks at you, “I wanted to talk.”
“You wanted to talk?”
“Yeah. You never wanted to talk to me. I needed something to push you.”
You scoff, “So you used Robby?”
“Please don’t make a big deal out of this. Robby is the one who came up with the idea, okay?”
You calm down a bit not wanting to push him away so soon, “Fine. I’m listening.”
“Y/N– I’m just gonna get to the point– I still love you.”
“You still love me?”
Johnny clears his throat, “Yeah, I do.”
“Why haven’t you told me this before?”
“I knew you’d be like this but Robby wouldn’t listen.”
“Yeah, Robby wasn’t exactly old enough to remember the emotional scarring you caused,” you feel the tears again.
“Y/N, I am so sorry. I can’t change the past. I wish I could,” Johnny looks down away from your eyes and you say sternly, “Look at me. When you’re apologizing. Look at me.”
Johnny quickly looks back up at you and quietly says, “I’m sorry.”
You slam your hands on the table from anger, “For years! Years I dealt with you, Johnny. The constant failure to be a father to our son! You have no clue what it was like to be a single mother.”
Johnny nods his head and his voice cracks, “I– I know.”
“No! You don’t know. You don’t.”
“Please forgive me. You don’t have to take me back. I’m a piece of shit, alright? But for your own sanity please forgive me.”
“For my own sanity? For my own fucking sanity?”
That’s when the boys enter the kitchen and you look up at Robby and you see his face. Sadness and your heart completely fell.
“What’s going on?” You hear Miguel asks disappointedly.
“Nothing, guys. It’s nothing,” Johnny waves them off.
“Yeah, it’s nothing,” you fold your napkin and lay it on the table, “I think I should be going. Thank you boys for the lovely dinner. I appreciate it.”
You walk up to Robby and kiss him on the head and you say, “I love you, honey. I’ll see you later, yeah?”
You smile at the others and quietly say thank you and leave.
Leaving Johnny and the boys in awe.
Demetri says, “So, we needed a conversation plan.”
Johnny says, “She hates me.”
“Dad, no. She doesn’t.”
The boys crowd the table around Johnny with Robby taking a seat.
Miguel says, “Sensei, this may sound crazy but I think she reacted like that because she still loves you.”
Hawk adds, “Could be. I react with anger too. Especially when I love somebody.”
This causes Johnny to look at Hawk and he says, “Yeah, because you’re a douchebag.”
Robby cracks up at Hawk's shocked face but Hawk nods in agreement; thinking through all of his questionable actions.
“Dad, you’ve gotta admit. You weren’t the best husband for a while there, you know?”
Johnny says, “I know. I was horrible. I just– I want her to be happy,” Johnny couldn’t believe he had said that. He only used to care for himself, or so he thought. He had tried to forget her for so long denying the fact that he has been in love with her through all these years and he knew she felt the same.
Johnny says, “I need to tell her.”
Robby looks at his friends as they are looking at Johnny not knowing what to say and then he also looks at Johnny and says, “Then go get her, Dad!”
Johnny automatically gets up from the table and grabs his keys and before he opens the door he turns back around and asks, “You guys got the kitchen, right?”
“What? Are you kidding me?” Demetri whines.
He feels Robby elbow his arm and he says, “Of course, Dad. We got it!”
Hawk and Miguel reluctantly agree and Johnny quickly says, “Yeah, thanks!”
Johnny opens the door to you standing there getting ready to knock.
“Oh, shit. Hey!” Johnny says.
“Hey,” you say.
“I’m guessing you heard all that?”
“Uh–yeah? Paper thin walls,” you give him a small smile, “I even heard you call Hawk a douchebag.”
“Hey! I’m not a douchebag!” Hawk exclaims.
“Yeah, dude, sure you’re not,” Demetri says sarcastically.
“Shut up, nerd!” Hawk argues back.
“Make me, asshole!” Demetri rebuttals.
“Guys!” Robby quiets them.
You and Johnny chuckle at the boys' arguments and look back at each other.
“So,” Johnny says.
“So?” You ask.
“I’m sorry.”
You look at him for a second debating on if you should forgive him. After all of these years of hating him and shutting him out. Building up your walls against him. Trying to mask the pain that he’s caused you. Pretending that everything was fine for your son. You had completely forgotten about yourself over the years and now it was your time to let it out.
“Johnny, you broke me. You broke my heart. It’s been hard. I blamed you for so long. ‘Hated’ you for a long time. But I can’t hate you anymore.”
“I–I know. I am so sorry.”
“I know you’re sorry. But you changed. And you stuck to it.”
Johnny says nothing but nods his head.
“I can’t thank you enough for that. Giving me a piece of mind.”
“I really tried. I tried for you and Robby. Because I love you, and I love our son.”
You didn’t know if you were ready to admit it yet. You were still afraid to be completely vulnerable with him expecting the worst to happen but for right now you let it go.
“I love you, Johnny Lawrence. I never stopped.”
Johnny smiles, “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
You and Johnny stand there for a second taking in the moment until you hear Hawk yell, “Okay! Now kiss!”
You hear Miguel say something snarky to Hawk but you two ignore it and finally kiss for the first time in years. It had felt like you two had never grown apart; like the spark never died. It was like you two had never separated. The love had always been there but you had hid it away for so long in fear of being hurt again. You two separate and catch your breath.
You hear Robby say, “You know, I was excited for this moment. Until I actually saw it happen and I’ve never felt so wrong.”
Miguel and Demetri chuckle with Hawk saying, “Ya know, I’m kinda into it.”
“Dude! Can you seriously not go there right now?”
“Yeah, right. Totally inappropriate.”
You and Johnny laugh at the banter and you two go back inside to help the boys clean the kitchen.
You weren’t exactly sure what this meant for yours and Johnny’s relationship at this point in time but all you knew was that you had your family back and Robby had his parents back together; and that made your heart feel full again.
