Destiny 2 Zavala - Tumblr Posts
I can just imagine a scenario between my YW and Lakshmi just being full of either subtle threats or *So much as mock a friend in front of me and I'll knock your head 360° like your neck is on a swivel*
One day YW is chilling in the Eliksni Wing of the HELM and is doing little puppet shows for the baby Eliksni. The puppets are made of Stasis Ice and it's pretty safe in general. Zavala and Ikora, even a little Crow being waddled around by YW as the babies giggle in glee.
Lakshmi walks in, intent on trying to convert the YW to her side, maybe to get her desired outcome for her prediction, and sees the puppet show. She stops at the railing and sees a discarded ice puppet, with a head slightly resembling her own. Lakshmi resolves to come back later.
Later, the YW is chilling in the HELM, by the table. All is calm, and then Lakshmi walks in. YW is leaning against the railing at the end looking over the city, slightly fumbling with something in their hands. Lakshmi makes it to the table and leans against it and open hers mouth.
That was a mistake.
YW immediately turns around, the yarn instead of ice puppet dropping from their hands and their hands instead grasping onto Lakshmi's collar of her robes. YW, being a Guardian, is naturally taller than Lightless Civilians, so they look menacing glaring down at Lakshmi.
YW huffs and sets her down, and retrieves the abandoned doll.
Lakshmi opens her mouth once again. "Guardian, I understand your hatred-" She stops as she noticed the doll is a little version of herself, two needles protruding from it. One in the center of the forehead, another through the heart.
YW walks towards Lakshmi and drops the doll on the table beside her, they take one step towards her and she takes one step back.
When the YW speaks, everyone listens. They rarely speak, the only ones to hear their voice are close friends. The Speaker, Zavala, Ikora, Mithrax, Crow... And Cayde-6. Their voice is usually full of resolve and is unwavering.
But if you were on the other end of it, being threatened by it, is another thing. It is cold and sharp, the resolve feeling like knifes against skin, the unwavering sending shivers down your spine. Being spoken to like this, make sure you hope someone prays that the Traveler has mercy on you, because the YW will not.
Their voice makes Lakshmi flinch in terror, her body trembling, of course she tries to repress it, but she can't help herself.
The YW, slayer of gods and kings, the doer of things impossible, is terrifying when they're angry.
Lakshmi flinches again, of course, even Uldren Sov knows this anger, he and his Barons were on the other end of it, and none survived.
YW speaks. "Lay your hands on the Eliksni with the intent to harm, and no one, not even your silly predictions, will save you from my wrath." Their voice is cold, a voice of a veteran, a chilling tone of too many horrors seen and done.
Lakshmi never returned to the HELM after that.
Stages of Grief: The Guardian, The Young Wolf
---
Denial:
A gun was laid down beside the Hunter Vanguard, a rasping chilling realization fogging up their lungs, their arms rapidly pulling out their Ghost. Their Ghost claims he couldn't do anything, Cayde coughs.
"Tell them... That the Vanguard... Was the best bet I ever... Lost..."
Words that shattered them.
Isolation:
The body of the Hunter Vanguard lays beneath a wreath, emblazoned with a symbol of the Vanguard, the Hunter Vanguard's friends weep. One vows vengeance, the other stops her. A voice speaks, it is them.
"You won't have to. Uldren Sov... is mine."
And the Guardian leaves to the stairs.
Anger:
They pick up the weapon, Cayde's weapon. Not the bastard Sov's. They aim it at Uldren Sov, contempt in their eyes, Petra with her pistol. Ghost quivers out an objection, they are silenced.
"Everything I did, I did for her."
The Guardian closes their eyes, and the trigger is pulled.
Bargaining:
The Prophet doomed, he calls the Guardian to his aid, as he is about to be struck, he is saved, by the Crow. Time may lessen pain, but guilt hollows them as they hold the Hawkmoon once again. The Crow freed, the Guardian speaks.
"Because you're a Guardian."
And the two flee with Osiris[Savathun] to the Last Safe City.
Depression:
Battlegrounds covered in bloody ichor of enemies, the Elikani shuttled to the Last Safe City for shelter. A queen returns with arrogance in stride. The Guardian can barely catch their breath, watching as Crow learns the ropes, pulled along by Osiris[Savathun]. The Crow wishes to help, but is forbidden. Something grasps the Vanguard on the matters of Crow, but is it Fear, Vengeance, or Protective resolve?
"Our past lives aren't supposed to matter. I'm beginning to wonder why I'm the only Guardian being judged by mine."
The Guardian can only watch as Crow's hand touches Savathun's crystal prison, and he recoils.
Acceptance:
The Guardian, though having avenged Cayde, soldiers on. The Light in one hand, Dark in the other, these powers merely tools, not morals, to use in the fight against their enemies. But they wonder. Crow is not an enemy, but a friend. When he gained those dreadful memories of Uldren Sov, had any good memories been tucked in? Or had he been shown only Darkness?
Imagine the Young Wolf and Crow arm wrestling in the helm-
Mfing Shaxx comes in and starts narrating it so loud that other people come in to see-
When Zavala gets there he is so confused at the ungodly amount of people there who have started cheering because the Young Wolf just added another tally on the board for games they bested Crow in-
IMAGINE ZAVALA GROUNDING BOTH YW AND CROW LMAO-
Lots of Destiny peeps have been saying what their Guardian put as their item in the ritual. What I wanna see, is some random mfer who put in a chicken toy, y'know the one where you squeeze it and it makes the loud high-pitched wheeze noise? Yeah, that, I wanna see someone do it. I wanna see the others look over in confusion at it. I wanna see Eris Morn's absolute look of just, "-_-"
