I'm both a visual and a non-visual artist, and... huh. Aphantasia is interesting and sounds familiar, but I think my experiences aren't it, because I can visualize things, I'm just much more likely to think of them in a textual or abstract form. I usually can't visualize things all that easily unless I've seen or created a picture of whatever they are. All of my OCs, for example, had to be drawn before I could really describe them in any detail. I think drawing is my visualization process, actually.

actually wait. i wanna see how many ppl out these share my struggles. ('visual artist' here being any form of art that requires visualization to create)
