That there was to be such joy in the family, such promise of a long, long future. In the palace, the chatter and celebration continued. Even those in the know, those who knew the marriage was arranged, celebrated the promise of a fruitful partnership.

But Sprinkle, did not. There was no joy in his heart, no smile on his lips. There was no hope for a future. There was only heartbreak, a deep seated ache in his stomach, and eyes filled with hot, salty tears as he looked up at his older brother's betrothed.
