Her strengths lie as a STRATEGIST outside the battlefield; maneuvering the guards and their weaponry and supplies to better aid them in battle. Desperate times called for desperate measures and as a result; this had happened. Even if lifting the METAPHORICAL WALLS between the Overworld and the Underworld was a good thing; it came with its complications.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤThank you, Eros.ㅤ❜
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤThough she did so with hesitance, the young girl lifts up a GLOVED HAND; its ebony fabric torn to reveal a bloodied wound underneath.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤPlease don't tell Lady Bronya about this. It's not entirely debilitating so won't be necessary for the combat reportㅤ—ㅤand I don't want her WORRYING.ㅤ❜
"I really do think y'should let me look at it, sweetheart." Her voice is gentle as she looks at the younger girl. If it weren't someone so young, she might have waved it off, told them to deal with it on their own. But not only was that not the case, Pela was a member of the Silvermane Guard. And Eros had looked after so many of them since the Underworld stopped being cut off. It didn't feel right to leave her to deal with an injury on her own.
"Please?"

‧₊˚ ⋅ ꒰১ ᯓ ☆ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓; the girl had no idea about her former lineage or the magic that lay deep within the other. She wasn't thinking about any of those mysteries either. Her focus remained solely on the battlefield. She HOPED Lady Bronya, Captain Gepard, and the rest of the troops were safe.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤShe holds back a wince; unwilling to appear weak or unprofessional to the other. As the momentary sting of DISINFECTION passes, she speaks again.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤHow are you and the other guards faring ? I do hope there aren't TOO many injuriesㅤ—ㅤsuch as mine.ㅤ❜
Worrying came naturally when one was a doctor, she supposed. Whether the younger girl thought it was a big deal or not, at the very least she could treat it for her. Black-tinted fingers reached out to take Pela's hand, gentle as she looked over the wound beneath her torn glove. Those gentle fingers would carefully peel the fabric away so that she could properly gauge the wound. It would be easy, really, if she dealt with it with her magic. But needing to pass for just another human was just as important as helping the girl before her.
"I won't tell Bronya if that ain't what y'want. Thankfully it ain't so bad I need t' give y'stitches or nothin'-- jus' disinfectin' it and wrappin' it up should be fine."
Shifting slightly, she'd pull out what materials she needed to take care of the girl's hand. Rummaging through the bag on her hip before she began to work carefully.
"'m glad at least that y'er okay."

In times like this though when the reality of combat set in, she wished she was as STRONG as Lady Bronya, Captain Gepard, and Serval. The very adult decisions she made were critical to Belobog's victory against destructionㅤ—ㅤbut in times of SUFFERING like this, she wished she could do more.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤThe fact that there ARE injuries is worrisome. I know it's typical in the battlefield but stillㅤ—ㅤㅤ❜
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤIt was a bit difficult to gauge the situation now when she was alone like this. Had she lead the troops in the wrong direction ? Surely, that COULDN'T beㅤ—ㅤunless there was some threat that she hadn't foreseen. The worries for the Silvermane Guards only grew the more she sat there until it finally came to be too much.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤI think I should check on them myselfㅤ—ㅤI've LOST CONTACT with Lady Bronya and Captain Gepard so it might have to be me. I need to decide if it's better if we retreat or keep moving forward.ㅤ❜
Really, she was grateful that the people of Belobog would never be the wiser on that front. Not that she thought on of them would mind, of course, but she really didn't want to have to explain it. Why someone they'd thought human...turned out not to be.
Still, she'd keep a gentle hold on her hand. Just in case- Pela was much younger than her. Even if she tried to play tough, she knew children had smaller pain tolerances.
"'m fine, sweetheart. And th' others look t' be okay. I bandaged up others that weren't b'fore I came t' check on ya."

She had great friends like Lynxy and Serval as well as people that cared about her like Eros. But she was definitely TOO used to putting all of the hardships on her own shoulders. It was indeed the logical conclusion that two people entering a warzone was far more beneficial than just one. Yet somehow, she couldn't help but give Eros the slightest blink of shock. It wasn't exactly her obligation after all. She wasn't part of the Silvermane Guards. By all accounts, she was just an ORDINARY CITIZEN of Belobog. Even more, she was an Underworlder that should have held hostility towards Overworlders such as the Intelligence Officer.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤIf that's what you want to do, then I suppose I cannot stop you. Justㅤ—ㅤplease be CAREFUL.ㅤ❜
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤLuckily, she knew exactly where the soldiers would be located. SHE was the one that formulated their battle plans after all. It doesn't take long for the two of them to arrive at their destination.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤWhen they got to their destination, it seemed like the soldiers stationed there had already been FORCED to make a decision. Most of them had already abandoned their posts with a few still remaining to carry off the injured.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤThe girl moves quickly; perhaps a little TOO quickly as she rushes towards a soldier's side. Though her frame and height were far more petite than the grown man's; she still attempts to sling him over her tiny shoulders without much success.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤEros, can you please help me with this ? I'm pretty sure this is the LAST soldier. I hope it is.ㅤ❜
Eros of course knew how tough it could be. To be a child who felt the very weight of your people on your shoulders. That even if you did what you felt best, there were still going to be times when it all came crashing down. When the tower would fall and people would get hurt. But she knew, too, that the people of the Guard at least wouldn't hold mistakes against Pela. That was something she was glad for the younger girl. That the people of Belobog were kinder than those of the Preceptors the former High Elder had once had to deal with.
"Here-- let me come with ya, hon."
She would get up more on instinct than anything. A want to keep close just in case. Not that there should be any more danger but- perhaps it was her own maternal instincts kicking in. That even with the wound tended to, she was worried about Pela.
"Whatever decision y'make, I'll do what I c'n t' help. I know I ain't- technically on retainer or nothin', but still. I wanna help however I c'n do that."

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤAqua orbs turn back to her companion; making certain that she was okay carrying the fallen Silvermane guard. The other seemed to be okay. Still, combat and war were NEVER easy and though she didn't often find herself on the battlefield like this, she knew that harsh truth all too well.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤThe camp isn't that far from here. I chose the closest and safest area I could without increasing the risk of any surprise attacks from the Fragmentum. Butㅤ—ㅤif you get tired, we can TAKE TURNS. I just can't guarantee I'll be any faster than you.ㅤ❜
The tangible difference between the way they were raised would be appreciated if she knew it. A bright young girl like her deserved something easier- kinder. Even if there was still tragedy, at least she wasn't riddle with it. At least she had here and now, with the people who she cared for and cared about her in turn.
"'m always careful, sweetheart. Ain't no reason t' worry about me, I promise."
If worse came to worse, at least she could handle herself just as well as any soldier. Not that she wanted for it to be that way, but all the same. Even if they had once been separated by Underworld and overworld- Eros wanted the best for the people of Belobog. Regardless of where they may live.
So she'd follow behind the younger diligently. Amethyst eyes scanning their surroundings as they went. Ready shoulder there be any issues at all. And she's grateful, at least, to see there's only the one man- what they hope is one.
Following in step behind Pela, she would sling the other man's arm over her shoulders. Despite her own short stature, she housed a strength many didn't typically see. She did so love to play damsel any other time- but now wasn't one of them.
"'m right here with ya, Pela. Let's get our friend here somewhere safer."

Though, as she led the other two through the snowy landscape, a thought crossed her mind. She wouldn't stick to too much idle chatter; not until they were all within the safety of the camp. But she had to make certain of ONE THING.
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤSHE was used to the moreㅤ—ㅤGRUESOME aspects of being a Silvermane Guard. Even if she didn't typically fight alongside them, that didn't stop her from seeing the consequences. Usually, she did a good job of not letting it affect her too much. But she can't help but wonder . . .
˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤAre YOU okay ? Likeㅤ—ㅤdid things like this happen in the Underworld ? I'm sure they had with the limited resources butㅤ—ㅤto this level ?ㅤ❜
Being new to the battlefields like this didn't make Eros any less eager to help. For one thing she knew was that she wanted to assist the people of the place she called home. Regardless if they were Underworld of Overworld native. Regardless of if it were here job or not. Her first priority always landed on those around her.
Carrying the wounded man is only a hassle because of the fact that she'd be faster just picking him up. But any show of that beyond human strength would a sign of what she was. Of the fact that she was hiding something. And she couldn't take that risk.
"I'll let ya know if I need th' help, sweetheart. F'er now- let's focus on gettin' movin'. If we have any unwanted company I'll do what I c'n t' help too."
