YES Radiohead is my favorite band. Here's what I have:

I'm going to college in september to either do a music or drama course, but I plan on doing both in the future
anywho onto radiohead! I got into them about late 2020 but my interest really kicked into gear about 2021, nd ever since I haven't been able to stop thinking about those white boys. my fav album is a choice between hail to the theif and amnesiac, and my fav b-sides are the ones from the bends.... 😁 my fav song changes every couple weeks but rn I'm rlly into ripcord, I want none of this, the tourist, man of war and spectre 😴

httt is so fucking underrated WHY is it everyone's lowest ranked radiohead album???? 2+2=5 is one of the best radiohead songs ever, sail to the moon is so beautiful I might cry,, wolf at the door is so catchy and gave us thom rapping which is so fucking funny. also "flan in the face" is top 10 radiohead lyrics. THERE THERE???? amazing. the gloaming makes me want to dance around and I will is a rlly pretty track!!! AND SCATTERBRAIN??? YUM??????
it's one of my fav albums, not only cus i have sentimental ties but it's just an overall rlly great album. track order aside, the songs themselves are great, and the httt era band was the best 😁

give up the ghost is such a sad song when you think abt it, it rlly feels like a last whispered plead to whatevergod to spare him. that repeated "don't hurt me" under the lyrics makes me so miserable. plus just the lone acoustic guitar is gorgeously simple. all the reverb too?? it feels almost ethereal????? jfc how i love radiohead

This is my first post! Hello world! I would like to know other people's opinions on this subject but before I start I want to say three things
1. This post is made not out of hate purely curiosity and to spark discussion
2. If you know me this is not targeted at you this is just a general thing
3. Art is up to interpretation and I just want to share how I interpret it
So here we go...
radiohead are not depressing
Again this is purely my opinion and my view...allow me to explain my point of view. I do find certain radiohead songs to be melancholic and "depressing" of course there is sad songs but the idea that the whole band is inherently "depressing" is close minded I heavily disagree with pigeonholing there whole vast and heavily experimental discography into one idea. Personally when I listen to radiohead rather then feeling down defeated and depressed I feel the exact opposite I feel hopeful I feel calm I feel like I'm accending almost. I can remember going to a radiohead tribute band and there were so many times I felt like my heart was glowing my soul lighting up the music just speaks so much to me it feels like my brain and body and soul is so interlinked to the sound it's such a beautiful and brilliant experience and so when a band that bring you so much peace and joy and wide range of emotions is dumbed down to moany depressing downer music it is incredibly frustrating though I never find myself frustrated at that person rather at the situation I just wish people could see what I see I really wish I could meet someone who thought likewise to me but sorry I'm going off track abit what I meant to say was if you do find radiohead "depressing" I'm interested to know why and I want to understand what is inherently depressing in them (again this is about people who find there entire discography depressing or atleast most of it)
