I Don't Want To Close My Eyes. I Want To Keep Them Open.
TADA the thing I spent the last 6 hours breaking my back over! I really need a new chair so i can sit at me desk ;A;
So i drew xemnal, my muse, as Edith Cushing from crimson peak in her beautiful ball gown. I did redraw the movie snippets but changed the dress a wee bit (mainly because some of the pearls and wrinkles didn’t come out right)
It was also a chance to let me try some new coloring techniques which i am pretty proud of.

I don’t like horrors. Hell, I don’t even like most of the scary films.
But I did watch Crimson Peak today.
And I loved it.
But why, why did I have to watch it just before going to bed? Now I can’t stop thinking about those ghosts!😂😂😂
Btw, I really liked the idea of having ghosts in different colors. Like red for those who were murdered. I think that White for Thomas was because he finally let go. But what does black mean? I read somewhere that it simply means attachment, which actually makes sense since Lucille wasn’t able to let go of the past, her brother and home, while Edith’s mother wanted to protect her.
And Jessica Chastain as Lucille was really good in my opinion. She gave me creeps almost just as much as the ghosts did.
Not even speaking about Tom. He’s always great.
I think this is the first film I saw with Mia after Alice in Wonderland. And to be honest, both characters are somewhat alike. Edith being simply Alice in a ghost story. Maybe it’s just my opinion, I’m not sure. But still, I did like her character.

Again Edith, again 'Crimson Peak'
(the moths!)
Inspired by Crimson Peak, but a little bit lighter and warmer
Oh Edith ❤
A ghost? In MY story?? It's more likely than you think!!!
Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) Crimson Peak.
The part in Crimson Peak where after they find Edith’s dad with his skull bashed in is kinda funny from a “characters being dumb” perspective
It’s takes FOREVER for anyone to suspect foul play. They’re just like “Poor fellow, he tripped and bonked his head and that broke the sink and his skull.”
Nobody suspects the weird guy he just turned down for a business deal and his daughter’s hand, or the weird guy’s freak sister.
They let weird guy marry his daughter and take her to another country. Barely questions asked.
but the horror… the horror was for love
