This speaks volumes about how scarred we were at a point in our lives that asking for help automatically designates to being an annoyance or becoming an inconvenience to those we ask for help.

What we need in our life, in general, is people who won't make us feel like shit, who empathizes in the most genuine manner; who don't look at us as being pathetic or wanting to be pitied. We need people who listen, and I mean full-on, see-through-the-veil, kind of listening, who wouldn't leave when you told them "you're doing well now" or "I'm better" even if you say that you swear and promise otherwise, and will sense that you're in desperate need for help, and will help, without expecting anything in return.
