i genuinely dont understand why people group Given and Banana Fish together. Yes, they’re both sad, but Banana Fish had me very suddenly and very violently sobbing with the second episode, and Given made me cry slow, silent tears over the whole series.
Yeah, they’re both sad, but they’re not the same level of sadness. Not even close.

but there wasn't
the only death took place off screen
before the series even began
