Are other people also more motivated by “reverse inspiration” then actual inspiration? Because if I read a book that I like then my reaction will almost always be “yes, perfect, all media is like this and I don’t need to do anything :)”

But if I read a book I don’t like or even hate? My fingers are flying. My brain is sizzling. The words are pouring onto the page. Books that fail me are entire oceans of inspiration because I am reminded that others are deeply incorrect about the world and only I, the sole girl in a dystopian YA novel, can fix this.
