The room was dark and empty, the kitchen as well. Jihoon furrowed his brow, a little confused. Where could his beloved person be? He went to the other room and breathed a sigh of relief because he finally found you, sitting on the balcony floor connecting to the living room. The sliding door was closed, so you heard when he opened it to go out where you were.

"It's almost four in the morning," Jihoon said sitting beside you.

"I'm sorry," you said in a sad tone, "I might have insomnia... Again."

"You can always come to my room whenever you want" he smiled understandingly, patting your head.

"Come on, it's your studio," you turned to look at him with a raised eyebrow, "I could never interrupt your work, also..." you looked back at the sky, expectantly.

"Right... You've never seen snow, have you?"

No, you had never seen snow. You had lived your whole life in a city with a very different weather, rarely leaving it, and the closest thing you had known was the few times there were hail hitting your window, and you saw the crystals longing to see beautiful white flakes falling from the sky.

Now you had moved to the other side of the world to be with Jihoon, it was your first year living in Korea, you had been sharing an apartment with him for just a few months and adapting to your new lifestyle, to the bustling metropolis, and the varied weather there.

You were there, gazing at the dark firmament, when you saw the first snowflakes falling from the sky, gently swaying in the faint nighttime breeze. You were waiting for a long time, and it was finally worth it.

"Yes, it's beautiful..."

But his gaze was on you, the way your eyes were sparkling with excitement and how you smiled was endearing, he couldn't help but look at you like you were the only person on earth. Seeing you happy was comforting.

Jihoon rested his elbow on his knee and his chin on his hand, making a big effort not to fall asleep, he had been working all night on a project and wanted to go to bed asap, but being there, with you in such an important moment was a once-in-a-lifetime moment he couldn't miss. At that moment you turned to look at him, and this made his head snap up.

"Your nose and cheeks are flushed," you said touching his face with the tip of your finger.

"You should see yourself," he leaned towards you to gently kiss one of your eyelids, then stood up, "I'm going to sleep, wanna come?"

"Later," you pouted a little, "I'm not sleepy yet." Jihoon smiled and went inside, you turned your gaze back to the snowy sky, lost in its beauty. A few minutes later, the door opened again, Jihoon had returned with extra blankets.

"It's freezing out here, you must cover up well," he said arranging one of the blankets over your shoulders. You didn't want to tell him anything so he wouldn't worry, but the truth was you were freezing out there, even though you had at least two layers of thick clothing.

"Thanks, Jihoon."

He sat beside you using the extra blanket.

"Would you mind stretching your legs out off the balcony?" You said nothing, just did it, "Thank you."

It took you by surprise when he laid his head on your lap, placing one of his hands on your thigh.

"Are you comfortable?" you asked in a playful tone, slowly sliding your fingers through his dark hair.

"I'm fine... I couldn't ask for more..."
