How do you pronounce Gyrfalcon?
(Honestly, pronounce it however you want. If you’ve seen one in the wild, you’re one up on me. Sigh.)

the only option that’s missing is the pronunciation i use
which is ‘any of the above followed by a hasty disclaimer that my pronunciation may be incorrect
followed by a clumsy google search that will provide an answer that i will inevitably forget by the next time i make mention of the bird’
tho to be fair - i do sometimes use the last option
