every implication that marvin dies after the events of falsettos
☆ "we don't know what time will bring"..."I've a clue"... "I have too (two)..."let's look like we havent"
- this implies that they know that whizzer will die but also that they think marvin will die too
☆ dr charlotte says "something VERY bad is happening"
- when talking to marvin she makes sure she articulates how deadly AIDS is
- she then grabs marvins arm and says..."something that KILLS, something INFECTIOUS, something that SPREADS FROM ONE MAN TO ANOTHER"
- this implies that marvin is "another". marvin then nods like he knows that he will die and that he knows what is going to happen
☆ marvin says "god only knows, TOO SOON I'll remember your faults"
- this implies that marvin will be face to face with whizzer and all of his faults very soon... in the afterlife
☆ whizzer says "all your life you've wanted men and when you got it up to have them, who knew it could END YOUR LIFE"
- whizzer literally says their relationship ends marvins life
☆ "after being SCREWED OUT OF TODAY"
- this line implied that they are "screwed out" by their untimely deaths ("screwed" can also be a metaphor for uhm "bedroom exercise" so we can safely assume that it was AIDS that literally "screws them out")
☆ whizzer asks if marvin regrets his actions throughout his life with whizzer ("do you regret?") and marvin says "I'd do it again, I'd do it again and again and again" implying that although marvin dies he'd do ot all agian out of love for whizzer (I'm not crying you are)
☆ "once I was told that good men get better with age" marvin then says "WE'RE just gonna skip that stage" this shows that marvin nor whizzer will live until an old age

(apologies if this makes zero sense i wrote this at like four am )
what if marvin and mendel were high school friends and mendels "psychiatrist" title is a sort of metaphor for the the role he plays in marvins life. so when trina asks mended to speak with jason she's really asking mendel because he was marvins friend in high-school so he should probably know him best thereby would know how to help marvin and subsequently jason, marvins son.
also when "marvin hits trina" mendel seems knows how to deal with marvins outbursts or "giddy seizures". (what if "marvins giddy seizures" the song from *in trousers* is supposed to be sung by mendel??)
