I agree that this fandom has really weird attitudes toward the characters but that’s something that’s becoming more and more common and not just with Stranger Things.

For example, in Loudermilk fandom (which is very small), there’s a very vocal group of Allison fans even though she’s one of the worst characters in the show who strung Sam along and made him think he had a chance with her.

I don’t interact with the Stranger Things fandom because, quite frankly, I find it a little disturbing since there’s a part of it actively sexualizing some of the kids (not all of y'all, I know, don’t worry) but… I gotta ask, y'all, why the fuck do any of you like Billy.
