Fandom Problem #4495:

I hate seeing when people have such a bad fandom experience that they drop/consider dropping the media they enjoy. I wish people would see there's more to the media than the fandom and they don't have to interact with them, but i get how that would be hard. If you enjoy something, you'd usually want to see fan content of the thing. And that means wading through the toxic dungwaters of the fandom just to get to that thing.

More power to you if you decide to leave that piece of media behind for your own health, but understand that fandoms are only 1/10th of the experience. There's plenty more stuff out there for you.

I promised to myself that i won't do discourse because uuuuhhhh i do got real life problems... but this is why i vehemently tell people to not join fandoms... fandoms are not necessary to enjoy a piece of media a fandom is not like costco! stop treating it like a damn membership! is it more lonely? hell yeah it is! but it better to amass a small little niche of people who you *know* you will let you enjoy the damn thing in peace or just acclimate yourself to be a lonely ranger believe me... its *far* better that way! I have been in fandoms in which every single month is a new fight and even worse if you are implied in said issue unfairly been there done that fuck that generalissimo rambles
