I Did A Redraw And Redesign Of My Bug/Dragon Type Pokmon. :)

I did a redraw and redesign of my Bug/Dragon type Pokémon. :)

These Pokémon are based on Praying Mantis and Oriental Dragons. The shiny forms take on the colours of Blossom Mantis.

More information below.

Warning: Dark Pokédex entries, mentions of death.

Larvis; the Big Eyed Pokémon

Bug type

Abilities: Swarm, Tinted Lens

Hidden Ability: Quick Feet

Name Origin: Larva (early form of a bug), Mantis (predatory insect)

Pokédex Entries:

They are rather shy Pokémon, rarely coming into contact with humans or other Pokémon. This makes them really hard to find in the wild.

Their diet contists of berries and other vegetation, always finishing their food. These Pokémon are often found in trees with small bites taken out of the leaves.

Mantither; the Hunter Pokémon

Bug/Dragon type

Abilities: Hyper Cutter, Technician

Hidden Ability: Speed Boost

Name Origin: Mantis (predatory insect), Slither (to move smoothly over a surface)

Pokédex Entries:

Their front arms are incredibly sharp; enough to cut a tree down in two hits. This Pokémon uses its front arms to climb and attack anything that gets in its way.

They have a short temper, often lashing out at the smallest things. It prefers if others keep their distance, as this Pokémon will not hesitate to attack those that get too close.

Swarmental; the Hunter Pokémon

Bug/Dragon type

Abilities: Hyper Cutter, Technician

Hidden Ability: Speed Boost

Name Origin: Swarm (a large group of insects), Oriental Dragon (Asian folklore dragon), Mental (mad or insane)

Pokédex Entries:

This Pokémon is incredibly dangerous, as it will hunt anything that comes into its view. It has scent memory, so once it catches a scent, they will be able to track the source down with ease.

With a large appetite, this Pokémon will eat anything and will leave no remains. If anything disrupts its feeding, Swarmental will lash out, and may hunt down its disrupter to make its next meal.

History of the Hunter Pokémon

Larvis are usually shy bugs that feed on berries and other plant life. They often hide away from people and other Pokémon, as they prefer to be by themselves or with others of their kind.

However, once they evolve, they gain the Dragon-typing, and a thirst for battle. Mantithers are often filled with a rage, irritated by the smallest things at which they will lash out. They also start to gain a hunger, now starting to hunt other Pokémon for food. They still eat majority berries and plants, but will hunt if a victim is helpless enough.

Once evolved into Swarmental, the Pokémon becomes much more dangerous, now with a thirst for blood. These Pokémon may prefer to be away from humans, but they have been known to hunt those that get too close. Whatever this dragon hunts and catches, there will be no remains.

However, in the odd natural of the Swarmental line, it is nearly impossible to catch a Mantither or Swarmental, due to their hunting nature. However, if you catch a Larvis, the Pokémon will remain loyal to the trainer, no matter what. It has even been reported that those that try to trade or free a Mantither/Swarmental that belonged to someone else, the Pokémon will lash out, and may even result in death. This makes trading a Mantither and Swarmental impossible to do.

In the past, it has been reported that criminals have been known to catch Larvis, train them to either Mantither or Swarmental, and then starve them. They did this as a way to ensure they had an easy way to dispose of unwanted people, Pokémon, or bodies.

This becomes a problem due to the Pokémon’s trainer loyalty nature. If freed, the Pokémon will lash out at those that oppose its trainer, despite being starved. These types of criminal cases have resulted in many of the dragons being put down, reducing their numbers.

However, there have been many protocols put in place to keep track of the Larvis population so that the numbers can grow again.

Welcome to Australia Auski

Back From The Dead With Some Pokemon Fan Content.

A fourth evolution to the Litwick line, currently unnamed, but with the title "The Entrancing Pokemon". The basis I have for a name is "baron" and "candelabra", tryna mash them together somehow.

I do have a bit of info for it (quite lengthy). I will design the female variation.

Male 50% / Female 50%

Height : 6'0

Weight : 152lbs

"Very rarely, a Chandelure will reach a particular stage of growth promoting it to reach an almost unheard of evolution. After finding a safe and suitable home, the glass head containing its flame will burst, revealing a skull-like face inside, and allowing its power to manifest a humanoid body draped in dark clothing and welding a candelabra. This Pokemon has only been found in seemingly abandoned mansions and large homes hidden in forgotten estates. It lures people into its den by sending out mass amounts of fake party invites, attracting random targets to its territory. Its smoke causes hallucinations, giving its victims the illusion of an extravagant party within the mansion instead of a run down structure. The Pokemon itself will display a fun and entertaining personality, showing great hospitality to its "guests", all in its goal to keep the illusion alive and trapping its targets within its home. Overtime, the Pokemon feeds on the lively energy of its "guests" and can do so as long as they are experiencing ecstasy from the illusion. The more guests it has trapped in its home, the more powerful the Pokemon is, and it is always searching for more guests for its collection, or to replace any it has lost over time."
