I looove seeing them in Inquizition

Hey, I'm 2 weeks in the fandom and I love Fenris

I love Fenris' romance because imagine having friends who are pining after each other for YEARS then they hook up and you think "FINALLY!" But then they break up the next morning only they're still wearing each other's clothes and making sad doe eyes at each other and pining and flirting and this goes on for THREE MORE YEARS before they get their shit together.

Isabela and Varric must be so exhausted. I'm obsessed

Fenris: Wait, are you... flirting with me?

Hawke: Have been for the past three years but thanks for noticing.

its my dream that when hawke gives fenris reading lessons he breaks out his treasure trove of awful romance novels that he collects 4 secret reasons and they read them together. its how they bond. Marriage

Selyff barely had time to register Fenris's words before he noticed the elf charging at him. Shoving past Anders, the hatred in his eyes from decades of torment was clear.

The ice mage quickly warped backwards, firing off a shot of ice hard enough to knock the elf back, though he wouldn't be kept down for long. Quickly giving orders to the other two to focus on the pride demon, he rushed over, blocking a blow with his staff.

He didn't think freezing time would be effective in the fade, or how it would react to the lyrium engraved in fenris's skin. He didn't have time to think too deeply before another blow landed, throwing him off balance as he let loose a flurry of ice, nearly freezing his friend solid.

Killing him was the only way, and even though this was basically a dream, it still hurt. Hawke thought about the kiss they had shared previously, all the conversations and arguments regarding feelings and magic.

He had brought fenris along as a warrior, someone to support and take aggro from any fights they needed, as he'd done countless times before. He'd never dreamed any of them would actually consider dealing with demons.

A sharp pain brought him back, his response quick in sending a repulsive blast out, before mustering the rest of his magic into a heavy deep freeze, looking his hubris in the eyes as the elf and his heart shattered almost comedically.

He had no time to think about it before turning back to the demon, channeling his fury into the monster. It took a few of varrics explosive bolts before it finally went down, leaving them panting and relieved.

He just hoped there were no hard feelings in the making world.

One thing I feel like I need more of is an exploration of the “friendship” part of the friendmance with Fenris.

Like I feel like a lot of the fic I’ve read of Fenhawke (particularly mage!Hawke) are more on the antagonistic side. And like, I get it Fenris hates mages blah blah blah but also….

Maxing out his friendship implies Fenris like…..actually likes you. Genuinely, as a friend. Whether you’re a mage or not. But most fics I’ve read with him still involve him being a grumpy boy whenever Hawke comes around and like?????

I just like the idea of a slow burn friends to lovers with Fenhawke. Like maybe they even consider each other their Best friend. And then after act 2 instead of this perpetually awkward vibe between them they slowly ease back into just being friends. I like the idea of a Hawke who Gets Fenris, as much as they can. Who gets why he left, even if it hurts. Maybe they even agree with him on some level that yeah, they Did move too fast.

Idk bro Fenris just has such a strained and distant relationship with most ppl in his life… I want him to at least have One relationship with someone that is vastly more easy and comfortable than anything else (that someone being Hawke in this instance cause I live for the mushy gushy niceness)

I just…… looovve the friendmance for Fenris it makes me happy thinking he has Hawke to call his best friend. Just a couple of buds.

I live for my papa fenris agenda. if something disturbs this man I will riot. he has a daughter to take care of!!!!!!!!!
