Fiamma Trein - Tumblr Posts
@oathofoaksart is an angel for this one, istg
Dressed quite a bit more casually than usual for the student of a paramilitary mage school (a creation of my own to be discussed at a later date), one of my main TWST OCs Fiamma Trein now has a reference!
If the surname and color palette doesn't give it away, this little lady is meant to be my take on a Cinderella-expy; Professor Trein's youngest daughter (adopted rather than step) who is visiting Night Raven College as part of a multi-month event dubbed by @cyanide-latte as the Arcane Exchange. Currently, she's off on a little adventure and some of the Heartslabyul boys are surprised to quite literally see her with her hair down. Thus, she decides to be a little cheeky in pointing out their honestly overexaggerated shock. xD
Long story short, the muse is strong with this little lady & I will def be making more with her in the future
ink flats for @inmateofthemind !
"Messieurs, there are eight-hundred-and-ten rules upheld by that most honorable dormitory of yours. Am I to understand that none of them reference the impoliteness of gawking at a lady for an extended period of time?~"
like my art? consider commissioning me!
Heya!! How about TWST ask #2 with Fiamma?
Thank you for the interest in my crazy babies <3
This question ended up being a lot harder than I thought because one of the major aspects about Fiamma's character is that she's constantly seeking familial warmth/connection due to the complex relationship she has with her adoptive family. Thus, for any of her friends to be truly 'platonic' is actually pretty difficult to achieve. You're either her sibling, her enemy, her 'baby', or an acquaintance; there really isn't an in-between.
...And then there's the interesting case of Jack Howl. It's a bit of a complicated road unknowingly started from their youth to get there, but the Night Raven wolf beastman manages to crack the code some time after they have graduated from their respective mage schools. What's really funny about the whole thing is that Jack himself doesn't even realize he's done it until Fia outright tells him when he visits her one random day, lol.
Jack's reaction is something akin to a "...huh. You're welcome, I guess. :)"
Hihi!!! Here for the TWST asks! Lets do 🌹 and 👑 for Fia and Ruby, please? Thank you!!
Let me start off by saying that I was not expecting Ruby to catch anyone's eyes. And yet hilariously, her answers came quicker
Ruby Del Zorro
Relationship to Vil: They're in the same year of school, Ruby thinks she's the queen of her campus, and she's the kind of fan who claims that the celebrity they claim as their favorite has this title to fuel the fan's own ego by being 'different' rather than being a true admirer of that celebrity. Vil sees right through this pretention, but he knows how to play the part of a gracious host well. Besides, he has bigger fish to fry. (Or rather apples to poison)
In short, Vil finds the fox beastman to be a vile little thing, but he's a bit too preoccupied to concerned of a spudling who's only going to be in the far corner of his peripheral for about three months. Meanwhile, Ruby only sees Vil for his celebrity status and how possible association with him can fuel her own ambitions.
Relationship to Riddle: The 'little runt' doesn't even register on Ruby's radar. True he's the son of famous doctors, but that temper of is just capital-N Not Worth It. Besides, it's a lot more fun teasing that little nobody 'Trein-Wreck' about her increasing association with him, amongst other little 'fires' Fiamma is starting over the course of the Arcane Exchange.
Speaking of...
Fiamma Trein
Relationship to Vil: On Fia's list of Top 5 Canon Character relationships, Vil ranks at number six (hilariously enough, Rook is at number 1 while Epel takes spot number 5). And here's the thing; it's not for a lack of compatibility/commonality on both parties;
Fiamma and Vil have genuine conversations/debates that are invigorating for both of them
They're kind of a powerhouse team for a lot of activities (make-up and hair is the big one)
Vil becomes a major patron of Fia's fashion design ambitions when they're adults
They're from similar backgrounds in terms of etiquette (LONG story full of Loreâ„¢) and both know how to gracefully maneuver a social scene (even when they're not particularly big fans of the people they're engaging with.)
And that's only part of the list!
So, why is it that Vil can't quite crack into that Top 5
Simple; Fia just cannot stand how Vil keeps trying to put people Epel into a certain box that fits his vision for them. Especially when Vil tries using Fia herself as an 'example' of what to strive for (again, long story with Loreâ„¢) Keep in mind that when Fia & the rest of the Arcane Exchange students come over to Night Raven, the tail end of their stay are the events of Book 5 before... ....well, if you know, you know...
So, things do change for the better later down the line, but Fia never forgets how you make her friends feel.
Relationship to Riddle: Let's just say their first meeting certainly does not reflect the direction their relationship would end up going. As a matter of fact, the first time they become aware of each other is a moment where an innocent question turned into a mission of malicious compliance on Fia's part. This back-and-forth centering around the Queen of Hearts rules turns into something of a spectacle for several parties, Fiamma and Riddle both seeing it as a challenge to their very characters. (as well as a test of their respective verbal prowess) And yet when a similar stunt of malicious compliance (though much more intentional in trying to bring someone down a peg) results in a threat against Fia's safety by another student of the Arcane Exchange, Riddle is the first to offer Fiamma sanctuary for the night. And then it's quite the journey going forward, as you will come to find out~ <3
3 and 5 for Fia and Cal???
[3] What emotion is the hardest for them to deal with?
Fia: This question is essentially this little lady's entire story arc, so I'm not sure I should discuss this too deeply lel😅
I think I'll leave it at rejection for now.
Cal: My knee-jerk reaction is to say anger since Cal goes undiagnosed for his Oppositional Defiance Disorder until a fairly emotionally cataclysmic (and physically destructive) incident during the 2nd Arcane Exchange.
However, upon reflection, it occurs to me that it isn't anger he's feeling in that incident: It's heartbreak/betrayal. It's Cal realizing that someone he's been opening himself up to, something he rarely does and much less to the extent he ends up doing, never cared for him in the first place. Cal realizes he's a plaything, not a partner. It's the latest in a series of 'nobody wants me' moments he's had to live through, but this one feels the most personal because he's never really had these kinds of feelings for a person before. Never has he shared such deep thoughts with someone else.
(Guess that's what he gets for trusting a Tweel, huh?💔)
[5] Are they good at keeping secrets?
Fia and Cal: Too good at it when it comes to themselves, to be honest. Revealing any more would be telling 🤫, but I can certainly say that both of these children have skeletons in the closet that they are intending to keep mum about until the day they pass on.
Neither of them are going to be successful on that front, but E for effort.
Fia specifically when it comes to other peoples' secrets: Quiet as a church mouse and twice as evasive.
Cal specifically when it comes to other peoples' secrets: Same as above, but it doesn't take as much pressure before he gets angrily defensive about it.
Homeland, for any OC of your choosing!
(going to still with the ones I know for certain b/c I am sick to death of seeing this damn thing in my drafts lel)
Fiamma Trein: Little lady was born in Fleur City, but she has lived in the Shaftlands since (three years in one city, then in Trein's after he adopted her)
Alan Desrosiers: Fleur City, along with his 'crazy' mother Maureen.
Gareth/'Mic': Sunset Savannah, and damn proud of it too
Puck Pratt: Queendom of Roses, much to this hometown's dismay whether I decide to specifically make him a Clock Town boy is still up in the air, though
Kentigern Vaughan: While I don't have his Homeland persay, I do know he is the "Boy King" of a small kingdom within it Taglist: @cyanide-latte @ramshacklerumble @tixdixl
