Figure 8 - Tumblr Posts

This is my other graduation cap from this year!

I drew the fishes on cardboard and then made little flaps with more cardboard to make them pop up off of the hat & they’re on book pages (from a random book that was falling apart in the trash, don’t attack me).

The fishies in the figure 8 is kind of a long story but let’s just say my best friend has a lot to do with it (I love my best friend).

This is a true story. I went to an Elliott Smith tribute concert over the weekend and the show was hijacked for 30 minutes by the School House Rock guy. Apparently he learned who Elliott was a few days before, and that he covered "Figure 8" from SHR. So he took it upon himself to play a 15 minute jazz song called "Devil May Care." I left 5 minutes later.

In other related news, I compiled a list of my 13 favorite E.S. songs on my other blog. Most fans would probably be surprised by my choices, but I do think that his best work came mostly out of his final few years. Check dat cute shit out.

i seriously need to stop googling my favorite artists and let the music do all the talking. just found out that Elliott Smith died in 2003. i didn’t need to know that info :(
