March Madness was the fourth episode of the first half of the third season of Troll!Cops. It was written by Carlos Lazaro and directed by Darwin Fields. It first aired in the United States on March 14, 2012.
The plot of March Madness involves Officers Terezi Pyrope and Sollux Captor investigating Whore Island, which was abandoned after the death of Mobster Kingpin but has suddenly started bustling with similar activity. They inadvertently cross paths with their rival Detective Eridan Ampora, who is also conducting his own investigation for reasons unknown to them.
March Madness attracted 5.4 million viewers on its premiere date, the most for a single episode of a Homestuck spin-off series, and received mostly favorable reviews from critics for its ruthless satire of other series that involved cross-dressing as a theme. The episode also inspired a webseries based on Ampora that was written by Lazaro.
