It's been some time since I read Half Bad and recently read an interview with Emilien Vekemans (I am going through all the interviews to heal the pain of the show being cancelled, fuck you @netflix) and he mentions that the blue paint/whatever on Gabriel's fingers is an important detail. Is that in the books? (if it is,please don't explain why hahahah I am planning to reread the books when I find time to)
