I love this idea. The concept of Galacta being a bad future Kirby has so much angst potential. The idea of a Kirby that leans completely into the “Kirby is a mass destroyer” meme, but plays it straight. Kirby has since lost all of his childlike innocence, and has fully emulated his father figure/ friend Meta Knight.
It is especially tragic when considering where Galacta Knight is as a character. Galacta Knight (who is Kirby) was one of the heroes who helped seal Void Termina (who was also himself), but because he was so powerful, he was sealed away for it. And now then only times where he is set free across time and space is when someone wants to fight him. So his life now is just nothing but constant fighting and being sealed away.
If Void Termina represents a dark beginning for Kirby, Galacta Knight could represent a dark future.
grown up Kirby design based off of the concept that Galacta Knight is a “bad ending” Kirby from an alternative timeline where he effectively loses the copy ability. Good ending Kirby keeps it tho! Hence the open face design of the mask!
