Ha! I finally stopped being a wimp and posted a fic to ao3. It's been sitting in my drafts for forever with lots of other stuff. So lets see how this goes.

In this AU of them, I’m thinking they are something along the lines of the Fae, celestials that exist outside of our world’s boundaries and decided “mannn people on earth look fun to mess with, let’s go do it lol”.
They wandered the world for a while, discovering their enjoyment for entertaining kids and making them happy, SO! They end up joining the same outfit our boy Monty is a part of, a traveling band of entertainers with their own particular talents.
At first they seem determined to get on this poor Gator’s nerves, but Monty shoots enough witty banter back at them that they take one look at each other and go “Yep, this one’s ours now. Share? Share.”
These days Monty loves pampering the twins with serenading love songs of his own creation and elaborate grooming supplies for those several-feet-thick fur coats.
In turn, Sun loves painting Monty and covering the walls of their wagon in portraits of his visage, and Moon (who has powers to control the void) puts on shadow puppet shows and captivating star displays in the Star Sanctum, a dark, quiet place where Moon can mostly be found gazing into the giant crystal ball suspended from the ceiling, pondering over the secrets of the universe (or whatever it is he does, that’s what he keeps saying but ???)
Tldr these three are just as lovey dovey and adorable as the usual glittergolf, just with ten-foot-tall ferrets instead of robots ahsksgsksgz
I am just now finding out that the GlitterGolf tag is not exclusive to Sun and Monty but it also pretty much always includes Moon as well and no that's not what I wanted for my blackmail :/

I feel like Monty is VERY straight until he gets close to a gay dude (Freddy probably is, but I do not think he is super close to him). Like. Gay is kinda just a thing he knows about, it is what his leader is, but if he becomes best friends with a gay guy, suddenly he will start thinking "Could I like men??" because now anything is possible. It would also take him a bit to realize liking more than one gender is also something that happens
